About Olga Tanon
Nacida el 13 de abril de 1967 en Puerto Rico, Olga Tañón se ha convertido en una de las exponentes más exitosas del merengue y el pop en español, además de que representa la figura de la mújer trabajadora, exitosa, que nunca se da por vencida y que siempre está en la búsqueda de nuevos retos.

Cinco veces ganadora del Grammy, Olga Tañón ha sido una fuerza en la música latina desde que grabó su primer album como solista en 1992, después de sus inicios en los grupos Las Nenas y Chantelle.

Con su poderosa voz, su talento para el baile, su gracia y carisma, Olga se ha ganado el aplauso del público en los más importantes teatros, salas de conciertos y coliseos desde su nativo Puerto Rico hsta América Latina, España y Estados Unidos, estableciéndose como una de las artistas latinas más populares.

Con millones de copias vendidas alrededor del mundo, Olga es un talento que llegó para quedarse. Su interpretación de géneros que van desde el merengue, la balada, el pop y la salsa, la hacen una artista completa como pocas.

En el 2001 se convirtió en la primera artista puertorriqueña en recibir la estatuilla de la Academia de las Artes y Ciencias por su album doble Olga viva, viva Olga. en el 2002 fue la primera artista latina femenina en obtener el Grammy por dos años consecutivos. Ese mismo año recibió el Premio Billboard al Mejor Album de Merengue por Yo por ti.

Ese mismo año recibió cinco Premios Lo Nuestro y se presentó con gran éxito en el legendario Teatro Apollo, de Nueva York.

En septiembre del 2002 recibió su primer Latin Grammy por su disco Yo por ti. Un año más tarde obtendría su cuarto Grammy por su disco Sobrevivir, que sería su primero en la categoría pop. En el 2006 se llevaría a casa su quinto gramófono por su producción Una nueva mujer.

En 2006, y después de 13 años de relación discográfica con Sony, Olga firmó con Univision Music, y se estrenó con la producción Soy como tú, en donde de nueva cuenta dejó constancia de su versatilidad y talento.

El trabajo de Olga Tañón ha sido contante, dándole como beneficio ser la consentida en el género tropical.

Born on April 13, 1967 in Puerto Rico, Olga Tañón has become one of the most successful exponents of merengue and pop in Spanish, in addition to representing the figure of the working woman, successful, who never gives up and that is always in search of new challenges.

Five-time Grammy winner, Olga Tañón has been a force in Latin music since she recorded her first solo album in 1992, after her beginnings in the Las Nenas and Chantelle groups.

With her powerful voice, her talent for dancing, her grace and charisma, Olga has won the applause of the public in the most important theaters, concert halls and coliseums from her native Puerto Rico to Latin America, Spain and the United States, establishing herself as one of the most popular latin artists.

With millions of copies sold around the world, Olga is a talent that is here to stay. Her interpretation of genres that range from merengue, ballad, pop and salsa, make her a complete artist like few others.

In 2001 she became the first Puerto Rican artist to receive the statuette of the Academy of Arts and Sciences for her double album Olga viva, viva Olga. In 2002, she was the first female Latin artist to obtain the Grammy for two consecutive years. That same year he received the Billboard Award for Best Meringue Album for Me for you.

That same year he received five Lo Nuestro Awards and was presented with great success at the legendary Apollo Theater in New York.

In September 2002 he received his first Latin Grammy for his album Yo por ti. A year later he would get his fourth Grammy for his album Survive, which would be his first in the pop category. In 2006 he would take home his fifth gramophone for his production A new woman.

In 2006, and after 13 years of record relationship with Sony, Olga signed with Univision Music, and premiered with the production I am like you, where again he recorded his versatility and talent.
