This whole system is garbage. It took weeks for us to get it connected, not even sure how we finally got it connected. It was fine, but like everyone else, about 2 to 3 weeks ago we could not get the app to connect to our system. I have rebooted the system 10 times, Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I even tried deleting the device and reinstalling it in the app. This was the only time it would try to connect but it just said connecting for about 30 mins until I just gave up. Don't buy this!!

As near as I can tell this app is no longer supported. My system still works but I can't view it frommy phone anymore so I'm looking for a new Security DVR/App combo. I'll do more research this time so hopefully I get one that lasts longer than 4 years. Throw away society I guess. It was decent until about a year ago. Maybe the development support time all died in the pandemic.

Working great! Currently have 7 cameras connected. I can pull it up anywhere, even at work on company wifi. Took a little to get working, but it has been working fine for almost a year. We did have to get extra power plugs for it to work, but works great!

As of a few weeks ago cameras and app were working ok... Now can not log in unless I'm on home network. Kinda defeats the purpose of a camera system at a 2nd home you don't live at. I know I know try to reboot system and see if problem persists. Well can you get your developers to drive there and reboot it for me? I know internet is working as I can log into the router from a different location. Thanks

Terrible App. Always disconnects, fails to connect audio keeps randomly not working, you name it. I have to reset everything (internet, system etc), delete the app, reinstall and connect all the time to be able to view from my phone. Night Owl needs to spend a little more money on app development since that's how I'm sure people's cameras are viewed 99.9% of the time.

What the Hell Happened!! Up until Bout two weeks ago I could watch my cameras from anywhere. Now the only time I can pull them up on my phone is if I am connected to my home network. Why would I need my phone if I am at home when I have a designated TV for them. Another Night Owl screw up. I'll be switching all my cameras over to Wyze. I already have 5, just need to get a few more and the Night Owl junk is going in the garbage.

It wont remember tour settings. Constantly reconnecting and playback on mobiles is such a pain. Could be a good system if this app would get it together...untill then. Now it won't even connect did the Uninstall reinstall nothing 100xs still nothing.now I can't even access cams unless I'm at home.good picture decent night vision picture happy with the hardware but the app is poor poor quality

My cameras quit recording still work think the app just stopped working cant use app shows my cameras are not operating on app but checked them with a tv and they work this app has never ever delivered what it said it would no sound no zoom just a night mare instead of a night owl. Spend your money else where this system is really disappointing to say the least. Will see if they contact me to fix the mess if so I will legitimately update my experience.

Night owl app doesn't function, adjustments cannot be done through mobile devices and will only record and continue to if you keep the app open on your device the last update on this app was in November 2018 wow 2018 and we're in 2021 no software updates. The reason why people place our comments here is to alert these manufacturers of the faults so they can be quickly addressed, look at the ratings, its terrible no updates in 3 years especially for a security software Poor service very poor.

If it's not broke, don't fix it! This app has worked flawless for years and now all of a sudden they want to update it? Now everyone's systems are FUBAR and it appears night owl isn't doing anything about it. Also night owls tech support is a joke right now.
