"Network Signal Info" provides detailed information over the currently used network with accurate signal strength output, whether WiFi (WLAN) or cellular (mobile) connection and is easy to use.
Do you know ? Network Signal Info / Pro are UNIQUE
This type of software is ONLY available on Android smartphones - neither iOS nor Window Phones.

Main Features:
- detailed MOBILE network informations
- accurate signal strength indication
- detailed WiFi informations
- detailed ANDROID System informations
- Widgets for MOBILE- and Wi-Fi network (PRO version with six widgets)
- mobile cell tower location (PRO version with much better online cell tower database)
- Mobile SIGNAL TRACKER (only PRO version with KML-file export for e.g. Google Earth)
- WI-FI SIGNAL record function (only PRO version)

The app has two widgets, one for mobile- and one for WiFi-Signalstrength (free version), Six widgets in the PRO version,,three for mobile- and three for WiFi-Signalstrength.
(If you can't find widgets, please copy the app to phone memory)

I have put special value on the visualization of the WiFi and mobile signal strength. They are normally only divided in weakly, good and excellent. Graphically in the form of mostly "only" three to five bars on the Mobile Radio and three to five "waves" by a WiFi connection.

In my app I differentiate the signal strength in more bars. This will give you a quick visualized and detailed information about how good the signal strength is really.

In addition to the much more sophisticated graphical representation of the signal strength you will see some more interesting information.

In "Mobile Signal":
Network operators, Sim operator, phone type, network type, network strength in dbm and ASU, data state, data activity, country code of the mobile phone, device ID, IP address, roaming state ...

In "Wi-Fi signal":
Wi-Fi-Name (SSID), BSSID, MAC address, maximum Wi-Fi speed, IP address, external IP address, net capability, net channel, subnet mask, Gateway IP address, DHCP server address, DNS1 and DNS2 address. ...

If you like the app, please give me a positive rating in the market.

The PRO version (compared to the free version) has no ads, a NEW cell tower database with over 80 millions more entries, a NEW MOBILE SIGNAL TRACKER function that generates a KML file for use with Google Earth, more widgets, a MOBILE SIGNAL LOST SERVICE and much more.

requires following permissions on your android device.

approximate location (network-based)
Allows the app to get your approximate location. This location is derived by location services using network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine approximately where you are.

precise location (GPS and network-based)
Allows the app to get your precise location using the Global Positioning System (GPS) or network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power.

view Wi-Fi connections
Allows the app to view information about Wi-Fi networking, such as whether Wi-Fi is enabled and name of connected Wi-Fi devices.

Allows the app to write to the SD card.

modify system settings

The app provides a lot of useful info, but after this update, and running it, immediately got confronted with a full-screen 30s random add sorry, that does it for me: deinstall.

  5. Matt Faraday-avatar

network signal info apk Not very good. It finds towers that don't exist and the line between me and the tower changes regularly but yet other apps don't show me changing towers. It also uses some weird euro , instead of a period so I wasn't sure if I was 1.20 metres from the tower or 120?? Permissions seem dodgy too it wants to know what apps you have installed and how you use them. Cellmapper works better.

network signal info iphone I have given you just one star for reason that my phone cuts out. I rang O2 my phone company.mast is broke and they are waiting on parts to repair end next week. They will notify me when fixed. . I put this on phone wifi now. It gives WiFi and phone signal reading. Both 100% so care to explain why your given fake information. Better still why are you asking for payment on something untrue. The idea is great and it looks good but we do require truth. I will rate again if you can show O2 lie

network signal info app for iphone This App has been carefully designed, with focus on technical accuracy. Functionality is excellent, clear and easy to use. Amazing amount of data available, including much info about the user device. My WAN is a 4g+ LTE router using cellular only for internet access. So far not able to analyse tower locations & signal strength etc of the router cellular connection. Can see on phone, but need to look directly at router connection for external antenna set up and tuning. Not sure how to do that.

network signal info pc This app is fantastic. It shows exactly where my local cell towers are and which one I am connected to and the signal strength and band used. Also shows all my home wifi info. Only complaint is I set the screen to stay on for 30 minutes in settings and it does not work for my Galaxy S10e.

network signal info dual sim This app used to be spot on for me. Now it shows my location as being 21 miles from my actual location. The adds in it are so overwhelming that I can't see the info I'm looking for. I will not use it anymore.

It's a useful app for signals, it helped me troubleshoot on a public wifi where my laptop wouldn't get an IP from DHCP and had to determine what to manually set it to. My phone's battery was draining very fast, an 8 hour work day I was lucky to have 50% left from a full charge when I got home and I don't even use my phone during work. Android's battery stats show this app to be searching for a GPS location the entire time it's on battery. Network Signal Info runs in the background even if you "Exit" from it and it runs automatically when your phone starts even if you never open it. I uninstalled it. Now I get home with more than 90% of my battery left.

  27. Bart Cann-avatar

    Bart Cann

This, at one time, was the best. But the widgets are broken, and even opening the main program does not get correct info, or update the widget. Specifically, it does not find the SSID, the widget often shows no connection, there is no way to force an update of the widget. Other network apps don't have these issues so the problem is not the phone or OS version. LG-V30 / Andriod v9

  28. Jon Collings-avatar

    Jon Collings

This used to be a great app, very disappointing. Over the years it has caused me more and more problems with data usage and instability. I finally got a new phone with Android 10 and was shocked to see all the permissions this thing demands. I went ahead and granted full access just to see if I could get it to work and the widgets were still not functioning, bummer. Uninstalled.

  29. Derek Bem-avatar

    Derek Bem

Promising app, good info, and nice widget. Unfortunatelly the widget does not work: starts OK, but after a few seconds it is getting blank (empty frame), or shows "unknown" network error (at the same time full app shows correct info, so it is the widget bug). Re installed, still no good. This app was not updated for a long time, and many people already reported the widget issue. Abandoned?

  30. Just Dobby-avatar

    Just Dobby

Unworkable - multiple consecutive full screen video ads, with sound even (!), taking over the system. When finally it looks like you're able to close something the app just freezes in the ad.. To be honest - the promises the app makes *would* indicate a usefull addition to my toolkit, but the implementation of the free version ruins the whole idea.. Totally worthless. Apart from this a minor issue, in the settings screen, at the bottom - screen timeout and language section.. when selected they display "somewhat less dark letters" on a "slightly darker background".. does not make for the best reading experience :)

  31. Piso Mojado-avatar

    Piso Mojado

Great at what it does! I live in a coach house behind an apartment building (own both). I use it to check my WiFi network's signal strength in different parts of my property. It's easy to switch networks to check my network extenders. Accurate, detailed reports, and did I say accurate? The free version does everything I need.

  32. Eaglevieww-avatar

I have used the App for a couple of years with very good performance . Mainly used because I cannot see the tiny android signal bars on my Samsung devices. I move around regional areas with very random and weak reception. A problem that I now have with a new device with Android Pie, is the constant annoying battery usage notification, and can't seem to just turn it off. Now I have the App controlled by battery saving process, but then the widget can not turn on and show the signal strength......

  33. Kenno Vanommeslaeghe-avatar

    Kenno Vanommeslaeghe

This app once worked but now is an unscrupulous ad platform at best. Even when not being granted many of the intrusive permissions it asks for, it will somehow autostart and use 100s of MBs of mobile data in the background while you're doing something else. I have zero trust in it and don't recommend installing it, even "just for trying out".

  34. Richard Barrick-avatar

    Richard Barrick

Looked good, installed for ~1 week, but I was looking at my power consumption today when I was down 40% and this had used 8%, the biggest power draw by far, without launching it since last reboot. I didn't try to fix it, I just removed it because I have other apps that do what this does, though no single app is as complete. May try again one day, it's nice

  35. tom fowler-avatar

    tom fowler

Excellent, no-nonsense performance. Tells you what you need to know. Later entry,. Had to uninstall. A battery eater. When in background, sucks battery. Sad to lose its wonderful functionality. Later entry - reinstalled, couldn't find anything as good. Disciplined myself turn off background operation. When I remember to do this, battery usage is acceptable.

  36. Lord Salisbury-avatar

    Lord Salisbury

Polls location info in intervals of 10 - 90 minutes when it's not running and no widgets activated. It's also quite useless and more of a user data harvester than a functioning app.

  37. Jeff Techau-avatar

    Jeff Techau

This used to be an awesome app. I have to downgrade my rating, because I just discovered it's been using my GPS (and battery) quite a bit - even though I haven't opened the app in a while. It's apparently running in the background after rebooting my phone. No bueno. I'll try it again some day, but for now, I have to uninstall it.

This app is a data & battery hog. 750MB in 2 hrs 6 minutes. My next most consuming data app was Waze at 70MB in 32 hours. It does provide good, but inconsistent, info. I installed the app on 2 Galaxy S7s. Sitting side by side one showed a close tower 1000 feet away, my wife's phone showed the connected tower was 46000 feet away. if it wasn't such a data hog I'd buy the pro version.

  40. Kai Strandskov-avatar

    Kai Strandskov

Prompts to access files and phone immediately. You can just deny. GPS seems to run continuously. No way to easily tell the app to stop snooping, so I suspect they are tracking all your data. I don't know why they want to access your files. It does have lots of useful info. I'm uninstalling now that I'm done.

  41. Keith Roper-avatar

Very helpful, didn't know such an app existed. I was having a total loss of signal from a mast near my home, an ongoing problem. Discovered this excellent app which has enabled me to log onto another mast 2 miles away in the opposite direction. Success all round, thanks and well done.

It's a OK app that works most of the time. I see some flaws but nothing major. It works totally independent on a working wifi connection and can, therefore, be useful when you have troubles to get a reliable connection.

WARNING: DISABLE MOBILE NETWORK DATA USAGE BEFORE RUNNING THIS APP. I installed this app on my new device and while checking out how it works, only looking at the various screens of information, it used up my monthly quota of mobile data in a few minutes, even though I was home and connected to my WiFi.

This app is a DATA HOG! I was shocked to see that it has used more data than any other app I have and I haven't even opened it up. More than stitcher, more that waze. I am sure I will save data charger by not even having it installed at all.

Regarding Mobile Signal: Doesnt really show where the towers are, relies on known tower locations on maps..if there isnt anything mapped where you are,its pointless. (Mobile signal strenght is shown in your mobile as well)
