precise location (GPS and network-based)
Allows the app to get your precise location using the Global Positioning System (GPS) or network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power.

view network connections
Allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected.

view Wi-Fi connections
Allows the app to view information about Wi-Fi networking, such as whether Wi-Fi is enabled and name of connected Wi-Fi devices.

change network connectivity
Allows the app to change the state of network connectivity.

allow Wi-Fi Multicast reception
Allows the app to receive packets sent to all devices on a Wi-Fi network using multicast addresses, not just your phone. It uses more power than the non-multicast mode.

connect and disconnect from Wi-Fi
Allows the app to connect to and disconnect from Wi-Fi access points and to make changes to device configuration for Wi-Fi networks.

full network access
Allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.

  1. Eric William-avatar

Best app for analyzing network all time!! Simple UI, easy to understand, navigate, and fulfill all my needs about networking..Really nice!! Thanks for creating and developing such a great app for us..For future improvement, it would be great if you can add information about Ping, Jitter, Loss, and Server Changeability in the internet speed feature (Just like featured in Speedtest app). Hopefully, you will consider of adding them in next update. Thank you.

  2. Rick Hughes-avatar

The best network analyzer app I have used to date. Does everything I need it to. I just upgraded my S9+ to Android 10 and after reading numerous comments about NAP not working, was very happy to find it all working perfectly. I still have IPV6/MAC addresses and everything works as it did on Android 9. I'm not sure if others are having problems simply as permissions have not been set correctly, or similar?? Or has Android 10 been updated in the past week or so to allow the correct permissions? Either way, if anyone has been holding back on the A10 upgrade due previous reviews, I would recommend giving it a go. Really worthwhile! Overall, an extremely functional and useful app.

  3. Bruce Rapp-avatar

This app really helps with mapping out a lan, avoiding and correcting errors. I especially like exporting the data so I can create a really nice spreadsheet of all IP's and other important info. Every time I have a problem with the LAN design I use this app first. Pro version is really worth the dirt cheap price. I am overwhelmed at how cheap any of these apps are today. I sold computers and software years ago. It is unreal the minuscule prices today vs years past.

This is a really great app. It's clean and well thought out, all of the tools you want just right at your fingertips. I highly recommend it since it delivers such a rich depth of network information in an easy to use format. Incredible tool for a home hobbiest and professionals. My thanks to the devs, great app!

  5. Cody Gabriel-avatar

A lot of good features but not being able to see MAC addresses and also make custom names for devices is what kills it for me. Thankfully there's other apps that do this.

  6. Carlos Kassab-avatar

This is one of my daily tools, and it works flawlessly. Honestly I would love if it had a better lateral menu, but it is the best netscan tool I've used on my phone

  7. David Colvin-avatar

This app has more features than Fing and it even includes a speed test tool. It's fast and efficient. I love that I can check WiFi signals. This makes setting up equipment at the in-laws a breeze.

  8. Kyle Nally-avatar

It was five stats before I updates to Android 10. Now something has broken with the system update. The routing table and connections list are both either blank or "flash" a couple of entries too fast to read them and go blank.

  9. Alan McCarthy-avatar

Ever since my phone updated to Android 10, the security and privacy restrictions in the OS render this app nearly useless. I have reached out to the developer many times, but requests for support have been completely ignored. I have also contacted Google regarding the inability of end users to remove privacy and security restrictions for specific apps. There has been no follow up there either. I still think this app is awesome on any OS older than Android 10, so if that's what you're running go for it. On Android 10 I do not recommend it.

  10. Tom Hulley-avatar

This is a great app, but I am not alone in wanting to see MAC addresses in LAN scan. Its the best way to identify all devices types on the network. I guess its an android 10 thing, but I went with Android long ago because it was much more open for network tools to get information. Come on Google, work with us!

  11. TH3BLUEFLASH-avatar

I love this app, it's really helpful for most things involving WiFi or mobile data like the WiFi or Data's dBm and/or asu which are really helpful if you know what they mean.

  12. Gerald Nelson-avatar

This is the fourth network analyzer I have tried. It is the fastest at scanning--taking 2 or 3 seconds on my home network compared to 20 seconds or more with other apps even with those running on my super fast Windows desktop. The information presented is clear, well organized, and complete. The built in manual and FAQ are quite helpful. Thanks to the developer for such a great tool!

  13. Suraz-avatar

Waste of money. You will not get any update the U.I is old. You cannot save network scan. And you can add custom name on IP of WiFi list

  14. Jenn Seperis-avatar

Before the Android 10 update, this app was fantastic. Now nothing works: LAN scan, which I use the most, gives no MAC or vendor, and worse, you can't friendly name your things, which was part of th reason I got this. Routing table is blank; Connections is blank; all the reasons I bought and use this no longer exist. I've gone over every permission setting on my phone and this app to see if I missed something and I'm stumped. One star until someone, somewhere fixes this; I will happily give this a five when it's working again.

  15. Benjamin Xiao-avatar

Honestly, this app is so close to being the perfect network/wifi analyzer app. Soooooo close. But due to the tighter restrictions in Android 10, this app fails to display IPv6 and MAC addresses and the Routing Table and Connections tabs flat out do not work. Will buy again if the app gets updated, but until then, I've requested a refund.

  16. James Sheeler-avatar

I LOVE this app Android 10 killed the most vital part of network scanning though. Without being able to see Mac addresses and host names it really makes it hard to see what's in a network. I used to use fing exclusively untill I found this app one reason why is fing will only let you scan if you are on wifi with this app I can scan any subnet no matter the connection I am on which really makes remote vpn troubleshooting a breeze Recently fing updated and can see Macs again can we get an update?

  17. Kev M-avatar

This was excellent for monitoring and finding devices on the network but the information has become very limited within the network scan Fing displays more information about wireless devices.

  18. Kevin Driscoll-avatar

Great tools, easy to use, pretty of the paid version make it even better but the free one still does well.

  19. Andrew M.-avatar

Wake on LAN does not work at all despite using the correct parameters. Other apps like Fing can do that task perfectly. Moreover, it's really underdeveloped and hard to find. It should be right on the left panel as a single item. Disappointed as it was the main reason for buying the Pro version.

  20. Kent-avatar

If the dev is able to restore MAC address visibility for Android 10 devices, I'll give this app 5 stars. Fing fixed this issue; but that app uses a subscription payment model for their ad-free version. I very much prefer that this app allows for a one-time purchase to upgrade to Pro.

  21. Val Vici-avatar

I purchased this in 2018 and it woked fine.. but now it errors 'cannot verify license' ! Update: I repurchased the app and now it's working, but Only if I activate the fraking location (the GPS!). I don't understand why it is absolutely "necessary" for it to know my location?! I want my money back.

Easy to use. Very handy when finding problems on the network.

  23. Daver B-avatar

This is a very useful app! I especially like the web interface option on the Lan Scan tool.

  24. James Bjork-avatar

The app is reliable and is a very useful tool for managing even robust networks.

  25. Jan Erik-avatar

Largely not working after update to android 10, lots of info missing like MAC addresses, connections and routers just blank screens. Will rate 5 again if fixed.

  26. L Lee-avatar

App has many great features, but a way to measure, in a sinewave manner, the ebbing and flowing of the signal would be good. My signal is unstable, and this would help in my fight with the internet provider.

  27. Greg Brown-avatar

This helps me and others with various information. It is normally accurate I would say 95 percent. I have scanned entire hospitals.Bars. My House other places If you are a novice you can learn a lot...It really helps various situations.

  28. shawn tane-avatar

New phone (s10e) and nothing works. It did pick things up but couldn't rename so I uninstalled & reinstalled then it went white background and did nothing. Im just gonna wait to see if fixed & look month later to reinstall

  29. Darren Jackson-avatar

An elegant utility, demonstrating a great deal of thought has gone into the presentation and usability. Network features for port scanning, whois, etc. are useful additions. A scale zoom on the 5G graphs might be a useful addition. Highly recommend.

A very useful app for sysadmins. Good for inventory, and security. Well worth the money.

  31. X X-avatar

Very good works as it should and a clean interface. Very happy with it

  32. greg morrison-avatar

Very professional application and very handy. I have four wifi networks at home and now i can easily see what device is on which network. Also love that in the profession version I can see that a device has a web server and go to its web portal from Network Analyzer pro.

  33. KNoX-avatar

Apparently I had bought this before? Pity it was so long ago I don't even remember it, I would certainly try to get a refund. I gave 3 stars because it listed connections and such but that's all, I could do nothing to control anything and what little it did do just sent me to my phone's configuration settings, which I already knew how to access without the help of an app so I was good there. I tried wifi connect or whatever after this and it was what I needed, controllable and informative🖕💩

  34. Happy Husband-avatar

Uodate: No more connections and routing table in android Q. nice connections not clickable tools hidden annoyingly (time waste)

  35. Stuart Angell-avatar

Gives alot of very detailed technical information and has been very useful in analysing my network problems. Gives a good understanding of how networks work . Is very easy to use . Excellent well done

Very informative app that replaces and surpasses a number of lesser single-purpose apps by other authors. Recommended.

  37. Defqon 1-avatar

I used to use Fing for my network diagnostic needs but I find this app is way better. And the price isn't that bad for what it gives you. I wish it had a UDP scanner though.

  38. Andy Whitwam-avatar

Was great before android 10. Now doesn't recognise Mac addresses so can't give devices a meaningful name. Going back to Fing for now

  39. Nick Howland-avatar

This is a great tool. I bought it for my company-issued iphone (I think it cost more then) and used it to trouble shoot 96 networks I supported. When I saw it was available for Android, I grabbed it (thought you said there would not be an Android app!). Wish I could upload my AP mac lists so I could identify APs, but I really like this app.

  40. Pete van Aarde-avatar

Most useful tool to have for managing my home network, especially when fine tuning ideal locations and settings on WiFi extenders. Also revels more details of connected devices than any of my routers or modem-router, including the latter.

  41. Neil Thompson-avatar

Does exactly what it should, I use it for quick tests, so I can give users guidance without having to an indepth debug session. It can save a lot of time!

  42. Billy Desmond-avatar

Just occasionaly check my network and try to figure out an issue. This app really helps.

  43. Dave H-avatar

Great app..... Have used various speed test and wifi monitoring apps, and this combines all into one. The app can present simple straight forward information, as well as more detailed network monitoring information for those that need / understand it. I tried the unpaid version before I bought the pro version - this is a great way for the developer to let people experience the features without bloating the experience full of adds. The only other home network essential I would put alongside this is to go out and get urself a Fingbox - however this is probably the best network / monitor / info you can get without having to physically plug a dedicated monitoring device into your network. Strongly recommend, great app,.

  44. A Google user-avatar

Seems like an excellent tool, but it seems to open a few TCP connections to an ip address which seems to lie in the Microsoft's Azure cloud. Personally I find this a bit suspicious. I would hope the author of this software provided an explanation for these connections. Edit: Ok I finally read the FAQ. According to the FAQ posted on the developer's site these connections are harmless. Therefore I'm giving this app the full 5 stars as I do find it quite useful.

  45. abdul shukoor-avatar

I really loved this app, it's better than wireshark, bcus it's considers every packet and we need to filter as we need, and I only need the connection and some other things so this app really helped me, I would like it more if it logs the every single connection instead of showing them in live. Bcus it shows live I need to do everything in a snick pic

  46. John Fraser-avatar

A comprehensive and extremely useful app. It's the best I've found in its category.

  47. Adam Gardner-avatar

Comes in handy when you need to quickly know the wireless landscape around you.

Great tool, I have a complaint. if you fix this. it would be 5 stars. its dependency to confirm license to Google Play Store. it's annoying. This tool help me to do my work and diagnostics. But, if I want to use it and I'm not logged at Play Store. The tool won't work. Due this. it limits its usefulness. I have seen other tools use like a temporary license that checks its legitimacy from time to time. NOT ALL the time. By the way, I bought iOS versions as well. To that extent like the tool.

  50. Me Andme-avatar

This is a well designed, powerful application that has all the tools. The "Connections" menu is quite accurate when viewing other application connections. The Documentation section is professional with the FAQ and Support. For personal or professional use, 10 stars and hope to see the application grow.

  53. Javin Press-avatar

Attempts to contact dev have gone unanswered for almost 2 months. The routing table and connections part of this app only display an empty screen after updating a Pixel 2 to Android 10. Is this app incompatible now with the latest Android OS?

Works wonderful with my Samsung galaxy A7 2018. I also would replace Fing and WiFi Analyzer. And it could do so much more.It got some of the functions of LanDroid too. I have to check but looks like it compares on equal foot with PingTools if not better. Anyway, I like to have broad choice of apps when doing work on the field. :)

This app is a handy little tool to keep around! It has a lot of little features in it to test and analyze your network. It has an intuitive GUI and is quite simple to use. I have used it quite a few times to diagnose network issues in my home and sometimes just for fun. Not only has it helped me at home, it's also helped me with some projects for a couple of my classes as well. Easily one of the best network apps out there!

  57. D R-avatar

Beautiful tool. Ran into multiple situations where it's been useful. Fastest purchas on the app store for somebody dealing with IT and Networking needs.

  59. Richard Palmer-avatar

Top shelf. Update: 12-3-19. Connections and routing table stopped working. Developer's condescending and dismissive auto email sent, no support from him yet.

  60. Tim Eisenhower-avatar

The appears to be very accurate, therefore I paid to remove the adds.

  61. Joshua Mahon-avatar

Great app, worth getting the paid version. very powerful app with great information gathering for your organization. I'm the Jr. Systems Administrator of a large company and i just used this to find every printer on the network. My favorite feature is letting you know what devices on the network have web interfaces, this made searching for printers easier than using nmap.

  62. Ken J.-avatar

The best WiFi/Lan analysis tool I've found. It is capable, very well organized and has visually clean design. If had one recommendation to make, I would like to see this app develop a MAC address alarm to notify the admin when a specific device registers on the network to correlate users with abuse, traffic volume or network policy violation.

Really helpful in finding device MAC and IP addresses. Been using it on Acer Chromebox 3 to get a complete picture of my network.

  67. Doan Minh Tu-avatar

The main tools generally work just fine so today I decided to make a purchase to see if the db is any better. Unfortunately the only that's better is a few functionality on wifi scan and network action. All devices was still displayed with the MAC vendor name only. Seriously, in this age even the power user couldn't care less which OEM supplier provided the NIC. Why should I care that HonHai NIC is used on my Sony? Update your db, use UPNP name, use anything more useful than this, look a Fing

  68. Ralph D-avatar

Incredibly helpful. Have used it to adjust mesh settings on different routers. And so many networking options and info.

  69. Don Shadows-avatar

I like the speed test and network functionality of this app, it has a fine amount of options, great work dev,

Definitely one of the best! Please consider adding more info & graphics on WiFi Signal section (when clicked on one of the connections) like: instantaneous connection speed, MAC address, signal strength scale/dial (graphics). Also on LAN section add info regarding the connection type: wired or wireless. Thanks!

Great app for network troubleshooting from your phone. Having this type of troubleshooting in your pocket is indespensable.

This is with out a doubt one of the best apps I have encountered and used for the past year or better. YOU people looking for the right tool for all your internet needs, look no futher. I was even scolded by a level 3 rep tech at Xfinity for having this all encompassing app. Trust me you'll like it.

  78. Sid Price-avatar

uninstalled. All i know is it updated itself when I have automatic updates turned off. COMMENT I didn't say it wasn't the playstore, only that it changed in me as sometimes apps do, and go from being usable to being a problem. Thank you for responding, I will remive my one-star as you may be responsive to fixing the app if it has a bug.

  82. David Eaton-avatar

OMG! You *HAVE* to check out all the seemingly unlimited number of tests & screens of data in this app. Every computer/network admin geek needs to have this on their phone. As a retired network admin I was blown away at the number of features in this app. Truly a "must have" app for your "software toolbox".

  83. Tom H-avatar

Use to be good. Now can't scan wifi networks without having gps on. luckily there are other free apps that at least show the strength graph and overlap. since it no longer has the features I need then I should get my money back. though rather have the old version. it was handy for troubleshooting.

Great set of analysis and scanning tools for visibility into the wireless environment and the LAN environment of the connected network. Useful for WLAN tuning/configuration, and for finding unwanted wireless network devices (like those sometimes placed in Flipkey/Airbnb type rentals).

Bought and installed this app at its discounted price and immediately started experiencing website ads in Chrome that hijacked the browser entirely or just its history (effectively disabling the baxk button). Uninstalled the app and they immediately went away. Perhaps the developers cut the price for a reason and I'll be reporting the app to google for them to investigate.

Thoughtfully designed with a wonderfully clean interface. The features all seem to work well, and information's presented nicely. It strikes me as one of those reliable utilities that you want on your device. Will update the review if I have any issues.

Hello! Really love the app. However, after updating to Android 10 the MAC addresses are no longer visible. This seems to be affecting other similar apps as well. Any plans to update for the latest Android version and restore full functionality? Thanks!

In response to Mr Techet: Thank you very much for the quick response and clear explanations. By "isolate a single SSID", I meant the possibility of seeing a single wifi source signal strength at a time.

    1) DNS query is not working well on some domains or not working at all. 2) On back press, app close always ! (should go to main activity) 3) Good app for basic network tools, but the cost is to much money for just those tools. 4) Not working well on Android Q

Exactly what I was looking for. The pro version allows you to rename devices so at a glance you can find any device on your network. Simple to use, detailed information, a great program.

Excellent app that allows you to view all of the wifi and network signals in various views depending on what you need to see. Very stable and allows you to decide what channels might are under utilised enabling you to switch you router to frequencies with less interference.
