Ministry of Ayush presents Namaste Yoga application to raise awareness about yoga and make it accessible for the community.
Yoga locator: Namaste Yoga App is an information platform for public to look for Yoga centres, events and trainers. The app provides a platform for Yoga centers and trainers to promote themselves. Certified trainers can register themselves and their business address on the app that is geo tagged to the location. This enables people to find yoga centers or classes near to their domicile.
Yoga Events: The app also provides for details regarding yoga events being conducted by yoga institutions across the country. One can find links to register or join these events both offline or online. Accredited yoga institutions can register their events on the Namaste yoga portal after registering themselves.
Knowledge Resources: The Namaste Yoga App provided for knowledge resource on Yoga. Celebrity videos are available that motivate the users on why one should do yoga. The app takes the user through an introduction of yoga. There are demo videos of asanas, breathing exercises, pranayama and yogic relaxation for the beginner.
Fitness Tracker: The fitness tracker in Namaste Yoga app helps monitor daily steps and calories burned of the user. It is simple to check how many steps a user completed and see how many calories a user burnt accordingly just by switching on the tracker and placing the phone in your pockets.
Yoga Trivia: Namaste Yoga provides a user engagement platform via. yoga quizzes and yoga polls to enrich the knowledge of yoga. User can submit his feedback/suggestion for improving the app through the feedback facility of the app.
