Will no longer connect to any of my three muso Qb units. Worked minimally until the latest update but now nothing at all I paid 3000$ (canadian) for these speakers and they are fabulous when they work. However they drop often and now won't connect at all. I am reduced to using bluetooth on one at a time. The app is the problem and has been since the beginning. I dont know why in the last 2 and a half years it has not been able to be stabilised.

  2. guest-avatar

Music system is amazing. Sound quality is brilliant.... BUT... The app/software is absolutely shocking. Transferring from blue tooth to WiFi, the system doesn't like. I have to power it off and start it up again. Surely this is not the 90's and this should be easily fixed on a software update?? Also, why can't I use my Tidal app and not have to use the lesser version available through the naim app? Spotify connects directly through its own app but not Tidal? App is not as intuative at all.

  3. guest-avatar

Dear Naim, I guess I ve been quite lucky for not really having much problems with my unit, though I had some help from absolute sound Singapore. Does "add to favourite " available on Uniti2? I dont seem to able find it even with latest firmware and app update? In addition, I think it'll be good if the software would be able to sort be artist with all corresponding albums c/w album art, like meridian does, that will be very useful. Thanks Rgds Eric Ng

  4. guest-avatar

Just installed and set up a Mu-so qb. The app on Android 10 on Google Pixel couldn't configure the unit for use (timed out at the "configure" stage after telling the unit the wifi password, tried this from system reset 5 times and got the same result). But went through exactly the same steps on the Missus's iPhone and it worked first time. From that point onwards, the app on my Android 10 phone could discover the unit and can control it

  5. guest-avatar

Have been using the app with Muso 2nd Gen for 4 months. First 3 months were problematic, app not seeing muso requiring reset every few days, not sure why but past month which also coincides with working from home and using the Muso and app for 12+ hours a day have been trouble free. Rotating as before through various supported apps, chromecast and direct via hdmi arc, so no change in type of use just duration. Was a one star rating, now a 3. Watch this space!

  6. guest-avatar

I have just bought the Naim Qb and so have downloaded the app as diirected. Whilst the actual main unit works well, I find the app frustrating. The menus are slow to respond and sometimes the transition between 2 source modes is slow. UPNP mode is also so to recognise your music collection and the screen freezes at points too. Sort it Naim as the main unit is not cheap May be forced to return unit Galaxy S6 Android 7.0

  7. guest-avatar

Buggy rubbish! Not what I have come to expect from Naim. Last week all worked OK, this week something has changed and my P30 Pro will not find it. I can play its own radio stations but Spotify will not find it now. 😠 I only get a generic help screen when I should see listen on phone or mu-so choices.

Need a lot of improvement. Doesn't work every time as expected. Erractic behaviour. Need a better development team.

  9. guest-avatar

The new app works fine on my Galaxy Tab S2, however on my Samsung phone no matter what version I try to install it defaults to the original Naim app. Help!! !!!

  10. guest-avatar

Unreliable. Unusable. Too many issues to describe in 500 characters max. It's just the worst.

  11. guest-avatar

Infuriating. Why is it so difficult to connect to a wireless network. About 1 attempt from launching this Muso Qb into the sea.

  12. guest-avatar

I can see that the software application has improved a bit.... So far so good...better than previous version..

  13. guest-avatar

Think Naim made a mistake with this range. My friends actually laugh at my system when my super hi tech player won't play. I'm embarrassed by it. Today I cant access my albums..the "favourites" facility turns up when it feels like it & when it does is a pig to edit. I've spoken to Naim & friendly though they are the problems inherent in machine & software means we're going nowhere. So dispiriting is this app I stopped listening to music for 6 months. What worse indictment for a hifi can there be

  14. guest-avatar

I fail to see how I can rate this app higher than 1 star. It consistently frustrates and complicates the previously simple and enjoyable activity of listening to music. That's quite an extraordinary achievement. Scroll down to see how it is destroying Naim's reputation. From hifi heroes to the British Leyland of 21st Century home entertainment.

  15. guest-avatar

I've been quite critical of this app in the past, despite my respect for naim. The latest app update is ostensibly an improvement on previous, notably much of tidals native functionality is now integrated but sadly flaws still emerge. For example filtering 'my collection' = freeze/crash. Alas this journey continues to be a vale of tears...

  16. guest-avatar

The application is now more usable, working as expected. No issues for now. I expect volume control to be more user friendly, maybe a circle like the actual volume button.

  17. guest-avatar

The tablet version is even worse than the phone app. Please let us use the tidal app directly. The app constantly jumps to 'finding rooms’ when I'm constructing playlists. Leaving me with having to redo work.

  18. guest-avatar

Awful. Naim should stick to what they're good at - making amplifiers. They should leave the complicated stuff like WiFi/Bluetooth/streaming to the experts like Bowers and Wilkins, Bose etc. What a disappointment from a so called high end audio expert.

  19. guest-avatar

Internet Radio search gone? Just updated and can no longer search for internet radio channels, app just wants to search local sources?? Not great, what's going on!!!

  20. guest-avatar

Frustrating. One day it suddenly decides it can't find the room and now it can't detect the NDX2 even if I want to set it up again

  21. guest-avatar

The iradio is broke again. Can't listen to music

  22. guest-avatar

£15,000 System 2 bob app. It is a joke,!

  23. guest-avatar

    Clunky, few streaming services.

  24. guest-avatar

Bought my mu so installed update works perfectly no problems so far

Edit2:App is so bad I no longer use full capabilities of NSX-2. Steer away from Naim for anything streaming! There are equal quality streamers with much better apps on the market. Edit: from 2 to 1star: app keeps stopping. Original: Real pour quality app. Response by Naim is void of any real content. Great HiFi let down by very poor control app.

  26. guest-avatar

i brought a naim streamer last year which is now already out of date so can not get the new app ? this old app is absoult pants and there is no chance i am going to buy another Naim streamer just to get the new app . i dont think i would ever buy a Naim product again

  27. guest-avatar

Lost ability to use mu-so unit with app update

  28. guest-avatar

I've had this system for over a year now and to say I'm getting to the end of my tether with it would be an understatement. There's no use having a great system which sounds out of this world when you cannot access your music via UPnP. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Everything else I have (none naim) works as it should every time. With this is a lotto as to whether it will see the drive or not. Will you please get this sorted it's beyond a joke now.

  29. guest-avatar

Great hifi, lousy app! If the app was just half as good as the hardware I'd be happy, but it isn't. Tidal is a laugh a minute, when I do a search the keyboard constantly pops up and down, making a pain to type anything. Then it locks up and prevents you from changing tracks, even when switching to standby. The moment you power on it's back again tormenting you, like it's playing games! I'm more than happy with my Uniti Atom, it's a wonderful piece of craftsmanship - but PLEASE fix your app.

  30. guest-avatar

Cannot find playlists on Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1. I only see radio favorites. I assume it's a screen form factor problem. Regardless, it's broken. Also, the app often goes unresponsive and/or does not actually interact with my Uniti Star or Mu-so Qb as expected. I'm restarting/rebooting way more often than I should have to. Naim should be embarrased by the lack of quality on products such as this.

  31. guest-avatar

It's a shame this App is so poor. Naim equipment is very good. I wish they would sort their App out. It is by far the most frustrating unreliable App I use and I use hundreds of Apps. It is far too temperamental, it takes too many attempts/button presses to carry-out functions using the Naim app. Most of the time it cannot find the Muso speaker, very frustrating.

  32. guest-avatar

Terrible. Cannot reliably play Tidal. Plays 1 song then stops or plays a few songs and then stops. What is the point of purchasing expensive hardware when the software is that poor... I regret buying the Mu -So Qb. Absolutely nothing is done to fix the issues. Here is what you should fix: - Ability to play Tidal without skipping (Priority) - Sleep Timer - Long Press on items, songs to bring the option page As a software engineer it is sad to see how bad the UI and functions are.

  33. guest-avatar

It's OK but missing a critical and somewhat obvious feature, which is a sleep timer!!! I cannot understand why this is not available as its on just about every app I've ever used previously. Like so so many other WiFi speaker systems I've used (and I've used many), it's the app that lets excellent hardware down.

  34. guest-avatar

A poor user experience. Aside from setting up radio stations all it seems to provide for my Uniti Atom is a basic interface to Spotify and Tidal. I have music on a USB stick and like to select tracks to play at random and queue them up. This isn't possible (unlike Sonos). If your tablet screen times out you end up back at the usb interface screen and have to work your way back to the album you want - very frustrating. Searching on Tidal a joke with keyboard constantly up and down. I despair!!!

  35. guest-avatar

Software and hardware can't really be independent of each other for audio products anymore. Especially when you are retailing to home consumers. I have a Sonos Play in the kitchen and a Naim Muso in the living room. It is clear the Naim is superior in output. But the Sonos just works because they sorted out their equally lousy app long ago and got people to sing praises of their otherwise assaulting sound profile. Wifi drops constantly even with updates and new hardware trying to connect.

  36. guest-avatar

23 December Update - thanks to Naim support reply, I was able to connect it properly by swapping 2.4GHz with 5GHz of my wifi SSID. I have updated my rating from 1 🌟 to 4 🌟. Reason to 4 🌟 and 5 🌟 is because sometimes it takes a while to connect 22 December - Terrible experience. Just bought muso 2 and trying to connect and configure it using the app. The app is stuck at - wifi setup (transferring settings) for last 2 hours. This app is such a shame for a lovely peice of hardware

  37. guest-avatar

Agree with many others this app is atrocious. Have to add single tracks to a queue using menu items queue next/last. If you accidentally tap off the menu icon it replaces existing queue contents with all album tracks . Should at least prompt to confirm before it blows all queued items away. I've been a Naim fan for 20+ years and can't understand why they tolerate such junk.

  38. guest-avatar

This is terrible Naim, the last update have completely wiped out the functionality, can't connect to the Unity. After 2 hours, resetting network,, installing the Naim app, nothing. I hope you are looking at this, I love you sound, but there is nothing to listen to with this buggy release. May be time to look at other options

  39. guest-avatar

Useless keeps dropping out for no reason. Incredible for a premium equipment. That Naim for some reason is not able to fix this bug. I'm sure give it to some kid in India and they would be able to right some better code than this useless app. Not sure if the v2 of the Mu-So uses the same app and will have the same problem....

  40. guest-avatar

While this (v 2.14.2) works on my iPad mini to access our NAS drive for music, it doesn't access the ReadyNAS on the home network from my Samsung Note (or any Android) phone/device. It refuses to even see the device although it can see the network. I hate Apple and we now only have Android/MSoft devices, but I have to keep the damn iPad just to use my NDX-2. Really annoying.

  41. guest-avatar

Left an earlier review but im so incensed im leaving a phone app review too. The app is now not allowing me access the servers at all so after weeks of ripping music to usb & hdisk i cant play any of it. Guests to dinner tomorrow & NO MUSIC AGAIN. Naim have actually designed an anti music hi-fi. Nearly 3k of kit & i just want to get rid now its been a year of stress. Ill give Naim another 3 months to sort this app out then its gone.

  42. guest-avatar

So sad Naim's software is nowhere near the quality of its hardware. I am forced to return my muso 2 because the software is so awful it can't see my device even though it is connected to my network. For the 24h it worked, I loved it. I give up ...

  43. guest-avatar

Let's down the Mu-So. The app has really poor navigation. Especially once you enter the upnp selection area. Often you have to use the generic back button on the phone, rather than there being dedicated navigation buttons or a drop down menu. Sometimes when searching you jump back to the main menu and sometimes it goes back one level as I'd expect. So to change from searching by song title to searching by artist you seem to have to go all the way back to the top level. They also need to better test finding songs in large libraries e.g. greater than 500 CD's. Happy with the Mu-So but not delighted by the ability to find and queue music. Also couldn't easily find my favourite radio station in the list (Studio Brussel). You have to go to uradio, region Europe, country Belgium, and scroll manually, as the search doesn't find it.

  44. guest-avatar

I love the kit. Second to none. But the android version of this app is useless. Constantly crashes, shows 2 Naim units periodically to connect to even though I only have one. Everything is very slow and buggy. Menu system constantly fails. When you buy such a premium unit, you expect the app to be working! Seriously considering returning the unit until the software is right

  45. guest-avatar

I've been into hi-fi for 30 odd years and Naim were always a brand to look up to, but this app is just not working on android, once you navigate down the men's there is no way of working your way back up, so I end up stuck at the bottom or I can go back to the top menu nothing in between. I tried my wife's iphone and the software in that is a lot better there are two arrows at the top to navigate with. very very disappointed.

  46. guest-avatar

Bought a uniti core dec 2018. For device that can only be controlled by this app it's useless. I really don't know where to start! In no particular order: can't get a track to repeat play, edit seems to be different every time you use it. For example downloaded a test disc which had no metadata so downloaded a cover and added title and artiste and saved. OK. Went back into it to add track data, it wiped out what I'd already input. Input more data including some tack data and saved. OK. went back again to complete adding track data, it wiped out all the previous data. A nightmare! Could write a book!

  47. guest-avatar

Naim please forget about apps and wifi streamers and dedicate your time to your fantastic old school wired kit. You are not ready for 2019 ... you are not even trying. You had a 2.5 star rated app for years now.. is anyone there reading these honest reviews?. really Naim? you charge thousand for your products and give us this? I will never buy any other Naim branded product again. I waited enough for this app to be useful.

  48. guest-avatar

The app isn't the most horrible thing in the world, despite it being very glitchy and unstable. My problem is that I mainly use Tidal with my Mu-so Qb, and on my LG v40, many songs just refuse to play. Most commonly this is singles, or songs that there's only one of on an "album". But sometimes albums with 10+ songs won't play a single song from the album. Incredibly frustrating and makes me regret purchasing my mu-so qb.

  49. guest-avatar

    francesco nacinovich

This is a joke, a shame, for a product like Naim. The android version is de facto useless. I reset the Mu-So 10 times already. Never managed to setup the device via the app. Resorted to setting up the wireless using the PC connected to the Mu-So network (still with some glitches, but at least it worked). The app simply does not see the device and it is, I repeate once again: useless.

  50. guest-avatar

poor, very buggy. This can lead to immense frustration for what is supposed to be a premium product. Sometimes I don't like my Naim. After a recent firmware update my Nova now Performs Faultlessly, Well done Naim.

  51. guest-avatar

Has been fine with my Muso but now just getting blank xcreen on my Android tablet. It works via my iPhone but no sign of my playlists which were previously visible on my tablet. Very frustrating. What's point in spending so much money on great hardware if I can't stream stuff to it? Come on Naim, you should be better. BTW my Ruark R2 works perfectky and is SO much easier to setup!!!!

  52. guest-avatar

The updated app is worse than before. I need to reboot my device to use it, even if I've just rebooted. It's still not intuitive. Combine that with the LED on the unitiqute crapping out and receiving no support from the local distributor, and I can say this about Naim: great sound, terrible kit.

  53. guest-avatar

Possibly the worst app I have come across, especially considering that it is the centre point of control for a £2000 system. It continues to "Find Rooms" even once I have begun playing music through the app; there are bugs when searching, listing and playing back songs; it has completely crashed on several occasions.

  54. guest-avatar

    Alastair Breingan

I have a Mu-so QB and love it. This app lets down Naim. I can consistently control the Qb from my Samsung Tab A and / or phone using various controllers and a minimserver. However the Naim app often reports "trouble finding your rooms" when for example Hi-Fi Cast and BubbleUpnP will find it before and after the Naim app has failed. If i could find an easy way to switch "radio" stations i would use the app once a year for firmware upgrades and be much much less stressed. Naim's harping on about rebooting your router appears to be bullsh1t - half the time it will find the Qb again with no reboot, and often it will not even after a reboot of the router and tablet. Again the other 2 apps mentioned dont have this problem My setup is an Asus RT68U with up to date firmware. The Qb is Ethernet attached while the Tablet / phone are on Wi-Fi with the same router. I did notice early on that having the tablet on 5gb seemed never to connect, while 2GB seems only to get lost half the time

  55. guest-avatar

I can’t believe it. This app is supposed to control hi-fi equipment worth (tens of) thousands of euros and it feels like it was designed by a teenager 10 years ago on a cheap smartphone. There’s almost no customization possible, you can’t edit the list of your favorite radio stations, you can’t shuffle your music collection, you can’t sort your records any way you want (only alphabetical is possible, not chronological), and the list goes on. This is such a big disappointment; I replaced my humble Squeezebox Touch with a NAC-N 272 three days ago and I already miss the Orange Squeeze app I was using. Don’t tell me NAIM can’t afford what a guy in his garage can program. If you want "world class sound" then buy NAIM; their hi-fi products are top-class. There's no question about that. If you want 21st century apps and convenience, go somewhere else.

  56. guest-avatar

Great app but I wish I had better Google Home compatibility! At the moment I can ask Google to play a certain song from my Spotify when the amp is off and it will do it fine, but i cant tell Google Home to turn on the amp as a basic request, and nor can i change inputs by asking Google Home to do so, but going of ny initial command that works, these last two requests should be able to work in theory as well. Better smart home accessibility is my only request so far.

  57. guest-avatar

Like many other people using this app for their naim equipment, I have been pulling my hair out. I bought a mu-so at the start of August and as yet have been unable to connect it to my Wi-Fi fiollowing the instructions on the app! A complete waist of time! The mu-so is visible to all my devices including my phone where I've installed the app but the app still can't connect the mu-so to my Wi-Fi. Really unhappy about this!

  58. guest-avatar

Latest version much improved. Can always find my music on NAS now. Still some functionality issues but much improved. Occasional freezing needs refresh to cure - hopefully once these issues are resolved the app can be developed to increase functionality and live up to it's promise. Really like the clean and uncluttered look and working. I am mystified by the comment over the radio stations as I can find and add stations fine. App could do with a help section.

  59. guest-avatar

Having changed phone basic functionality is now OK: There are still intermittent issues with the Gboard continually hiding and reappearing when searching which causes you to type gibberish, but it is pretty reliable finding my Uniti Atom. Omissions (for me at least) continue to be the lack of a button to pause or stop a radio stream (included on iPhone) and lack of search functionality for radio stations. This is probably vTuner's fault but in that case, why not use TuneIn which supports this?

  60. guest-avatar

User interface, design and stability of Naim application do not match the Naim brand, hardware or pricing position. App is usable but leaves the Naim owner expecting & wanting more. When playing Tidal adjusting volume to 50% often results in paused song, volume bar is to close to play/pause. The standby button is under settings. For owners of Muso/Uniti it would be nice to see hardware resemblance on the app controls, volume dial could be recreated in the app. Looking forward to improvements.

  61. guest-avatar

After last update, which should fix everything, I even cant connect to my streamer despite several rounds of deinstalling, reinstalling, etc. Sometime, I even would like to smash my cell against the wall as working with this clumsy, unstable, ever-closing rubbish. It really terribly disturbs my experience with otherwise excellent streamer.

  62. guest-avatar

frustrating and buggy app. Julian Vereker must be rolling in his grave . just one example I had huge problems getting my Android phone to control my system had to even read my file contents accurately on my nas. turns out some of the problem although not all was just simply I also have the name app on my iPad and when the two are switched on they konflikt but nobody tells you that and it took me months to work it out out.

Update Apr 2019: The stability of the app has greatly improved with the recent updates, and it now serves the purpose well. ==== When the app works, it does the service fairly well - though searching within the local servers or Internet radio stations could be much better (along other things). My problem is that whether it will work or not is totally unpredictable. Most often, I click on my Unity Star, and the app returns to "Finding Rooms" within a few seconds (even after showing what is actually being played). That is indeed frustrating - especially as there is no other way to access the music stored locally... Update: after release of the new app version in January, the instability and perpetual returns to "Finding Rooms" screen unfortunately remain.

Another update to possibly the worst app in Christiandom - and it is still as bug ridden as ever. Here is an idea - hire a professional to write the app and get professionals to test it before unleashing it on your customers. I now own three Musos, which are brilliant. This app is still absolute s***e. Support from Naim is as good as the app, ie s***e, I gave up with them a long time ago. Naim - If you can't afford to hire an app developer, publish the interface specs and have a you'll have a dozen better apps than this in a matter of weeks!

Very annoying app. Keeps dropping the connection, can't find the Naim system, volume control only works intermittently, loses connection to Spotify. Other apps work fine so it's not the home wifi or broadband. Tried on both IOS and Android devices and neither work properly. So either the app or its interface with firmware on the system are causing problems. Naim, this is pretty hopeless.

Used this for months, first on Android which was so horrible I bought an iPad after a month of use because everyone says iOS is better (true). However, even on iOS it's a poorly designed and glitchy app. My biggest complaint is, of all the options to filter/sort by, you can't sort by actual file name. Allowing that, and not to rely on id3 tag metadata, the ability to find and play music would be miles better. Also, search is broken. Naim, buy Rocket Player please... you should aspire to that app

it is a very powerful app if it works well. take long time to find my naim atom, and there are lots of problem with playing tidal in Naim. the apps is not able to control the streamer. I cant fast forward, stop or switch song. it just gone out of control. I dont have this problem when I am play tidal directly with tidal apps .

  68. guest-avatar

This is my first experience of naim and their app, I downloaded it after purchasing a mu-so generation 2. The app is easy to use it took me less than 5 minutes to pass through the setup process. It found my network and connected without difficulty, downloaded a firmware update and then discovered all the music on my home server including artwork almost instantly. Using the app is childs-play and within minutes I had added 10 or so internet radio stations and was happily listening to music.

  69. guest-avatar

This app does function on the most basic level of controlling the sounds that come out of the device but is incredibly unintuitive and frustrating to use.. I'm constantly yoyo-ing back and fourth through the menus trying to find how to change the radio station and failing.. As other people have mentioned the search function (which could save the app in terms of its userbility) is utterly useless and does nothing.

  70. guest-avatar

The app is improving. I finally managed to contact the service team and discussed the ongoing issues with the app. The latest release seems to have resolved most of the issues that I had, but I can't give 5 stars when you compare the software usability with the market leaders. The sound of the kit is the best I've heard for streamers, and at least the app is beginning to reflect that!

Jesus H Christ, give me a break! Spent a couple.of hours, trying to set this up and all I can get is the radio. Most expensive radio in the world. I've seen other comments on set up and noticed naim support reply, reset the router. Tried and failed I am seriously considering returning this. I live in Salisbury, so not far to travel! No bluetooth, no tidal, no amazon music. ONLY quick start-up instructions with the product - mu- so. Absolutely raging

  72. guest-avatar

I used the app on the first day of purchasing my Uniti Star and all worked very well. The, all of a sudden it point blank refuses to return a search on my NAS drive, nor an internet radio station nor a connected USB device. Despite contacting Naim for advice I still cannot search anything. Shocking app for such an expensive piece of equipment.

  73. guest-avatar

Most of the reviews are half true; it's connecting but there's a lack of instructions and it's easy to do it wrong; so you'll have to use your common sense. Connect through wifi your phone/tablet to mu-so (your hand device it will be disconnected from internet), then open the app and follow the instructions (be patient with the status led colour), enter the internet wifi address and password when asked and you're connected.

  74. guest-avatar

Utter garbage, connection keeps dropping, takes ages to connect to network if it does at all, I have to keep resetting device in order to connect via WIFI. App interface is like something from the 90,s slow, ugly, crashes and not user friendly at all. Shame because the sound quality is superb but only when I connect via WIFI which is very problematic.

  75. guest-avatar

Multiple attempts to connect Muso to Wi-Fi... total fail. 2nd Naim product to fail at this. (Cube) Great speakers but very average with this stuff.

  76. guest-avatar

Zero stars. Terrible app. Almost all of it does not work. Unbelievable that Naim would let this go beyond beta. Updates needed badly.

  77. guest-avatar

Quite simply, the app is bad to use. It is slow, clunky and even illogical at points. It has a serious lag problem even with simple things like pausing/playing songs. This app needs serious redevelopment as it is a big drawback to the experience of using naim products. Having said that the hardware is unreal quality.

  78. guest-avatar

Latest 3 May android version still not finding rooms on regular basis and still clunky on the rare occassion it actually works. Even worse, I stupidly updated the previously very stable ios version on my ipad and now its not finding rooms either. All very dissapointing These updates seem to be getting less stable not better?

keyboard opens and closes over and over no matter if using Samsung or Google keyboard. extremely frustrating that i have to use this for the native tidal stuff because Spotify has it right using their app as controller. Naim can't seem to get the experience right. the tidal app is better but to get top quality you need to use Naim app.

Icons cannot be rearranged. Internet radio now empty and non-functional. Reinstalling doesn't work. edit: Muso II needed resetting to resolve. Tidal functionality seems jilted compared to native Tidal app. Tidal Masters seemingly not allowed. Holes are appearing one by one since my initial review, not good, not good at all! edit2: thanks to an Audio-T staff member's rudeness and the unreliability of this App, I've returned my Muso II and got refunded.

  81. guest-avatar

Terrible It connects one in 30 times. Please fix it.

  82. guest-avatar

Lot better after recent updates however volume on app still doesn't correspond with that on atom. Volume on app works but if the volume is altered manually or via remote then volume level on app remains unchanged. Then if you use volume control on app, the volume will jump to last known position of app possibly causing large spikes in loudness! Please fix asap. Fixed volume....but search function no longer working 😢

  83. guest-avatar

VERY basic app. limited to 5 internet radio presets - my gran's tv did better than that in the 80's. i would say the firmware update went ok though (despite it not telling me what was part of the update). i think you only use this to set up the equipment then move on.

  84. guest-avatar

Installed latest version on my Samsung tablet ...... rubbish. Some key features that work on Samsung Tab A (Android 7) don't work on Samsung Tab A (Android 9). Volume control missing for example. Uninstalling as it's a waste of space. With all the money we spend on Naim hardware, which is undoubtedly superb, we expect Naim to provide an app up to the same standard not this rubbish. Get your act together Naim, this appalling app is ruining your reputation.

  85. guest-avatar

Not so sure if the app is buggy or more the media server on my NAS :) But about the app ... pls put just a simple list view in the library without any thumbnails bigger than the text. If you search in big collections the pictures dont help ... you need just to have as much lines on a screen as possible.

  86. guest-avatar

I 've had this app 3 hours. It's already failed once. And the search feature defaults to "Local Music" 100% of the time making it impossible to search (for example) internet radio stations. Come on, Naim. This is embarassing.

Was OK but I could not find any radio stations. Eventually after lots of fiddling I found it was the back button at the bottom of the screen. The instructions online relate to the iPhone version which is only loosely related to the Android one.

The update of the app is flawed. cannot locate device on the network even though it is connected. Luckily I have the ND5 XS with the screen so I can still use my device, but its not ideal. please fix! update 1/15/19 New version of app does not fix problem. Still will not connect!

  89. guest-avatar

OK so Naim have fixed the finding room. I can actually connect first time. Now how do I find a radio station? It is virtually impossible to find BBC radio stations. Any of them. Radio search needs a lot of work.

  90. guest-avatar

I picked up a Muso QB. Really wanted to like it, but aside from the lack of mqa support for tidal, the app itself is very poorly designed. Further, the app loses connection from the QB very often and needs a manual reconnection. Terribly inconvenient experience made me return the product.

  91. guest-avatar

I like the radio hardware but the app does not work well. The biggest issue is lack of connectivity with my mu so and mu so qb. Bluetooth works poorly or not at all and connecting wirelessly is also extremely spotty. Restarting modem rarely helps.

  92. guest-avatar

The products I purchase that be the Cube and the miso, sometimes my device can't even find them and other times they cannot connect. Very disappointing as I took my time deciding to purchase them. Also I have two broadband running and it they will only work of one of them. Very frustrating.

  93. guest-avatar

Glacially slow (other apps and devices on my network work fine). Frustrating to use, especially manipulating uPnP. Basic, to say the least. Inadequate and, frankly, this app is unworthy of a such a superior audio company such as Naim.

  94. guest-avatar

Very glitchy. Makes experience of interactibg with Uniti Star very annoying. Why, oh why, can't I access the neiwork music store from the remote control handset without having to go through this super irritating app? I expected more from Naim...

  95. guest-avatar

Tried reinstalling the app and rebooting my router but still cannot connect wireless or wired. All worked fine until a few weeks ago. I can only play through bluetooth! What do you suggest? Alex

  96. guest-avatar

Has not worked since last update. For a company that claims to be "high end" this app is a joke!. I have been using bluetooth option in order to listen to music. This app is the worst!

  97. guest-avatar

Awful app. Came back to use my perfectly working MuSu and now it wont find it at all, cant set the unit up and it wont connect. Some of the worst QA seen in software. Your developers let your brand down. In a big way

  98. guest-avatar

At the moment the app refuses to find my Uniti. IOS is working fine across a range of apple devices of varying generations. Reboots have yet to solve. Reinstall didn’t work either so at the moment, zero functionality.

  99. guest-avatar

Ruined xmas. Got new naim muso. The sound is perfect but wont connect to my android naim app. Got phone last month with latest android software. Packing muso to return. Shame! I love the sound. But i cant jist use bluetooth. I want airplay. Cant use the app. Get ur act together naim

Very bad app. Configuring and using of my Naim Mu-So Qb via it is real hell and disappointment.
