Beautiful game, great graphics, love the steampunk feel but it is just confusing I understand HOW to play the game from the instructions but I just don't get it, seems to run on luck more than skill, no real reason why the tiles change. Love the game really but I have to uninstall because of the confusion

This game has the unique gameplay and visuals of an Arnold Rauers game, but is very annoying, not just because of the more luck based gameplay than his other work, but because you can't choose not to use an item on a tile. The game runs on stamina and you don't have much of it. So whenever the quickest route to the exit involves wasting one bit of stamina to unnecessarily shoot an enemy with a bow that wasn't a problem, as an example, it can be a pretty annoying if enough runs die this way.

The art style is great, but overall the game play wasn't captivating. The puzzle aspect is clunky and random in a way that often makes the rooms take a long time to beat, which wouldn't be a bad thing, but the character runs out of stamina too quickly. The stamina can only be recovered every few rooms and not enough to reliably continue playing.

This is beautifully done, but it just doesn't make sense. I undertand HOW to play the game, but it feels confusing. The mechanics don't feel familiar at all. Even after playing a few levels, I still feel confused and like I am missing something. The game over all is gorgeous. I had no technical issues..but I cant quite put my finger on what's off/wrong, but what ever it is was enough to not enjoy the game. Reading reviews, I see I'm not the only one.

The game itself is fantastic. But 30 second commercial you have to watch every 1 minute of game play, not only breaks your concentration, it annoys others around you. That's because, no matter how low your sound volume is while playing the game, it will get really loud, once the advertise starts to play. Advertisements are set to play in high volume sound. You can only mute the sound of it after it already starts the ads. And when next ads pops up, you have to mute the sound again every time.

I must say that the art is great as usual, but there are some obvious flaws. The volume seems pretty quiet, the frame rate becomes atrocious very fast ruining the experience and controls, and although this might just be me but it seems that to get a comfortable grasp on how to play the game it takes a while for a newcomer. Overall if the frame rate becomes fixed this game would be better, but there is the issue of difficulty and intuitive gameplay. But that might just be me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maze Machina is a fantastic, highly underrated puzzle game with real passion behind it! The gameplay mechanics are totally original, and the game can be quite challenging when it wants to be. I would HIGHLY recommend at least trying out the game. In a market where 99% of mobile games are designed for the sole purpose of manipulating people into spending money on microtransactions, games that are made out of a real vision and a love for the craft should be celebrated. This is one of those games.

Not one of Arnold Rauer's best, tbh. Energy save mode changed nothing (do I really need all those animations and particle effects?), no way to turn off the excessive amount of vibration, and gameplay is slow, ads pop up in the middle of a run (not before or at the end). I've paid money for every previous game from the developer because they're well-crafted, but this one literally had me screaming at the screen constantly in frustration for clunky and slow interface. Play Card Crawl instead.

This game is disappointing to me, not because it's a bad game, but because it's a good game that just fell short of the mark. Every element is so good, but one thing holds it back: stamina. Stamina distracts from the fun and unique combat system, and just makes the effort put into making the combat system feel wasted.

I've had around 5 hours of gameplay in this. And I'm probably going to uninstall it soon so I was gonna write my experience. The concept and gameplay are original and I like the actions and object in the game. But I sooooo hate the balance of the game. I think the rogue like elements of the game aren't well balanced. It's just a random generated board and sometimes it's stupidly difficult for the first board. I think the movement based actions should be more probable. Music and art is awesome.
