Sometimes the navigation was supported by the use of probes. The main difficulties with the use of these methods were too deep waters for the use of probes, and that often the sky was too cloudy, or the weather was very foggy. The compass was mainly used to alleviate these problems, so cultures that did not suffer little use of the instrument. Such is the case of the Arabs, who generally had clear skies when navigating the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean. For their part, the sailors of the relatively shallow Baltic Sea made extensive use of the probes. The astrolabe, ancient Greek invention, also aided in navigation It was invented in China in about the 9th century to determine the directions in the open sea, and initially consisted of a magnetized needle floating in a vessel filled with water. Later it was improved to reduce its size and to facilitate the use, changing the vessel of water by a rotary axis, adding a "rose of the winds" that serves as guide to calculate directions. Currently, compasses have received small improvements that, although they do not change their operating system, make the measurements to be made easier. Among these improvements are lighting systems for data collection in dark environments, and optical systems for measurements where the references are objects located in the distance. For the correct operation of the application the telephone must have the magnetic sensor ENJOY THE APP
