Compiled to Android 34. No functional changes.

Description

Use the mobile as a magnifying glass to read menu cards and the like without reading glasses. Start with the phone horizontally, the bottom right.

Unfortunately you cannot manually or by an app control the focus distance. Therefore the app uses autofocus, but when the nearest distance is detected, focus is frozen and the phone vibrates briefly. So start a piece away and move the phone closer and closer until it vibrates. Sometimes it is easiest with the light on, depending on the motif. Unfortunately this does not work on all phones, they will continue using autofocus.

Tap anywhere on the screen to turn on or turn off the lights.

You can zoom by swiping left or right (when holding the phone horizontal).

Press and hold to take a photo. This requires access to write on the SD card.

There are no small buttons with various settings, you have to fumble with. Extremely simple to operate.

The app is free, that is, truly free without advertising or suggestions about purchasing something. Your privacy will remain yours, too.

The app is now named Lup, it is the same app, formerly known as Loupe, but my certificate is expired, therefore the new name.
