Location Tracker Plus is an app by Maninder Gill in the Travel & Local category. It has no native code, so it runs on any Android processor.
It asks for 9 permissions, 3 of them sensitive: precise location, approximate location and read phone status and identity. It asks for the same permissions as version 2.1.0.
What's new in v2.1.1
Added new features.
> Arrival Watch — cell-based alerts when you approach saved places (no GPS required)

Description
From the listing uploaded by “appupdater”.
Location Tracker Plus helps you estimate where you are using your phone’s GPS and cellular network — built for field use, surveying, and checking whether GPS matches the cell network.
The app reads your serving 4G/5G cell tower (MCC, MNC, TAC, Cell ID, signal strength) and combines it with GPS to build a local fingerprint database on your device. Over time, it learns where each cell is likely to be, so location estimates improve even when you move between areas with different coverage.
KEY FEATURES
• Locate dashboard — live serving cell details, trusted cell-based location, GPS reference, and GPS vs cell comparison
• Normal mode — automatically collect cell + GPS samples while you walk or drive to build your local database
• Hostile (anti-spoof) mode — trust cell-based location and flag large mismatches that may indicate GPS spoofing
• Live map — show GPS path, cell-based estimates, towers, and spoof indicator lines
• Tower database — searchable table, tower detail view, coverage map, and optional Google re-verification
• History replay — pick a time range and replay recorded movement on the map with adjustable speed
• Samples table — browse stored fingerprints with search and pagination
• Settings — operating mode, optional background collection, Google Geolocation API key, tower location policies, map label sizes, and database backup/restore
HOW IT WORKS
In Normal mode, the app records fingerprints: “on this cell tower, at this signal strength, GPS was here.” Those samples stay on your phone and are used to estimate location when you return to the same area.
In Hostile mode, the app prioritizes cell-based location and uses GPS only as a reference to detect possible spoofing. If GPS and the cell network disagree by a large distance, the app warns you.
BACKGROUND COLLECTION (OPTIONAL)
You can start background collection from Settings. When active, the app shows a persistent notification and continues sampling while the screen is off. You can stop collection anytime from Settings or from the notification. Background collection never runs without your explicit action and without that visible notification.
MAPS AND ONLINE LOOKUPS
Google Maps is used to display maps and location markers. Optional Google Geolocation API lookups can estimate tower location when local database matches are not available. You may use a built-in key or paste your own API key in Settings.
BACKUP AND PRIVACY
Export your full database (fingerprints, tower cache, route history) as JSON, or import a backup to restore or move data. Most information is stored locally on your device. See our privacy policy for full details.
PERMISSIONS
• Location — GPS/GNSS and map features
• Phone state — read serving cell tower identity
• Notifications — required for optional background collection
• Internet — map tiles and optional Google Geolocation API
Note: Version 2.0 is a major update with a redesigned interface and a new on-device database. Data from very old app versions may not transfer automatically.
