Our goal is to help bridge the gap between taking a freshman Hebrew class and reading the scripture comfortably. This library can accompany any Biblical Hebrew grammar course, offering enjoyable reading material at various levels to increase students' confidence and fluency in reading. These readings are full of images that add context and increase understanding, and are accompanied by clear audio recordings so that the reader can listen page by page and experience Biblical Hebrew as a living language. The 37 readings range from picture books to increase vocabulary and easy stories to intermediate stories based on excerpts from the biblical text itself. The intermediate stories include a glossary at the end with words that appear less than 100 times in the Hebrew Bible. Also included is a memory section of Scripture, with passages that are frequently memorized, such as Genesis 1: 1, the Shema, Psalm 23, and others. Listen as you read to aid memorization.
