It's a great app for drilling, but the hint audio is far too quiet. Had to turn my volume way up and then got blasted by the ad audio.

I love this! I can only be so motivated by quizzes alone, but you better believe I'm going to shoot down meteorites from that cute little planet by matching katakana for a long time! And since there's only two answer options in the games, it's easy to learn from the games themselves instead of needing to go to a practice mode to learn every single character.

Fun, simple, and doesn't require an internet connection. You can customize quizzes to suit how much katakana you know, to best fit your level as you learn the characters. Each character comes with a sound, a stroke order visual, and the opportunity to practice the strokes with your finger tips. Without a doubt my favorite katakana app on the market. Thank you Hajime for making the exact app people like myself are looking for.

The app itself seems decent but within the first few minutes of using the app I was bombarded with ads every time I switched to a new page

Didn't think a guessing game would help me learn this well or even be this fun. Also nice quotes on the menu screen. 10/10 quality app for the MB and price. If anything- add another layer of difficulty where there's 3 or 4 choices instead of just 2

Best app for memorizing katakana, I like how it also has a hiragana one.

  7. Sid the Sloth-avatar

Beautiful, simple app that does exactly what it says. I've been using it for years and it's the best one I've ever found. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to brush up on their kana knowledge.

After using this app it really has helped me memorize my katakana with such ease. Repeating each words has made it so much easier to understand katakana. Would definitely recommend!!

Nice, simple, easy to use. I just started studying Japanese and I found this tool very helpful. I don't complain about the ads because this app is free!
