Phonebook Navi is a free app that displays information retrieved from Phonebook Navi even for numbers not registered on your smartphone. About the App's Core Functions

The Phonebook Navi app provides "caller ID, spam detection, and spam blocking" functions by sending the following data to the Phonebook Navi server (telnavi.jp):
1. Phone number (incoming number)
2. Call history
3. App crash log data
4. Identifiers related to each device, browser, and app
All data from 1 to 4 above is encrypted using SSL before transmission.
* After a call ends, you can manually send the caller's phone number, user reviews, and spam judgment to the Phonebook Navi server to provide the app/service's intended functions. This information is shared with third parties other than the app provider. (SMS judgment information is not made public)

[How to Stop Pop-ups (Foreground Services)]
You can stop the display of pop-ups by turning OFF both "Show information when receiving a call" and "Show information when making an outgoing call" in the settings screen. This operation will stop the foreground service.

●Incoming call display is not available for data communication calls
Calls made using data communication are not calls using a telephone line, so the incoming call display will not work. Some Rakuten Link and MVNO plans offer services that allow voice calls using data communication, but in those cases, the incoming call display will not work. Please check if your SIM contract plan uses a "telephone line" for calls (we cannot answer questions about SIM plans in support).

● About the Security of the Phonebook Navi App [Important]
The Phonebook Navi app does not classify incoming calls from phone numbers registered in your device's phonebook (contacts) as spam (because it considers phone numbers registered in your contacts to be important contacts to the user). To achieve this, it only accesses your phonebook (contacts) for verification when an incoming call is received. (This is used only within the device.)

Currently, Google Play app review is very strict, and there are particularly strict regulations regarding the handling of private data.

If an app requests unnecessary permissions or does not handle personal information appropriately within the app, it will not pass the review and cannot be published. The Phonebook Navi app is published in compliance with Google Play Developer Policies.
