In public high school entrance exams, kanji writing questions are usually based on the 1,026 kanji learned in elementary school. Kanji reading questions are based on kanji learned in elementary school, their new readings, and common kanji. While both are covered in junior high school, there aren't many opportunities to study each kanji individually in junior high, so this app is a great way to learn them. Depending on the difficulty level of the high school you're aiming for, select the general school level, mid-level school level, or top school level in the app. Private high schools may ask writing questions for common kanji that aren't often taught in junior high, so try the "challenging school level" in the app. This app is recommended not only for preparing for junior high school tests and exam preparation, but also for adults who love kanji.
