There just isn't any comparison to any other text to voice engine and human voice quality to Ivona. I love this app for hearing my books and emails read with such a pleasant fluid human tone. I just hope the Android 6.0 Marshmallow compatibility will come out soon as this app alone would be for me an incentive not to update from 5.0 Lolipop as I use it so much. Great job, developers for such an amazingly will done voice sound!

I LOVED this on my previous devices and used it every day. The Nicole Australian voice is great, the light accent helps cover up the slightly robotic sound to my American ears, but overall they are by far the most realistic TTS voices out there! My only concern is that I got a new phone with Android 6.0 and IVONA is not supported. When I reached out to ask when it was going to be available, the response was that there were no plans to release for Android 6.0. If they change this, I would definitely vote this as 5 star.

I defiantly will say that the English voices (I only speak English) offered up for free from IVONA Text-to-Speech have got to be probably #1 when it comes to clarity it almost sounds like you are listening to a human. but I really gotta ask them why they don't offer the Salli voice for our androids. Salli is my fave voice, free trial for computer offered on IVONA website. i would be willing to even pay a reasonable one time fee. I just find the ones available for our androids unenthusiastic. Salli at least makes listening enjoyable...

The BIG issue is that Google Maps navigation will NOT allow IVONA voices to be used for giving directions during navigation. The app description says it's supposed to, but it doesn't. I'm running 5.1.1 on my Samsung S6 Edge Plus, but it just doesn't work. Just wish it would work in Google Maps with navigation. I used to LOVE being able to use this on my Note 4 but alas, no more.

Really nice voice. Beautiful and quite human and perfect. Unfortunately I CAN'T INSTALL THIS ON MY NOTE 8 BECAUSE IT"S BEEN DISCONTINUED!! I read somewhere that Amazon bought this company and have started killing their products. So far I don't see any great voices in the Kindle apps so - here's hoping something good eventually comes of it.

The forced updates are what stops me giving the deserved five stars. It's certainly not an update for my benefit. I SUSPECT PART OF THE UPDATE IS TO UPLOAD USAGE PATTERNS BACK TO IVONA as this is a BETA trial after all. I would be ecstatic if I could just keep this version now. It works. BEAUTIFULLY. I have used IVONA TTS for ages, many forced updates. Its such a good product that these are scary. What if one day I CAN'T update. I fear its loss.

Love your work. Went to your site and noticed you have voices there that you don't have on paid version. Namingly male voices English uk and American male voices. I would like to see those on next update. I fell in love with your AMERICAN ENGLISH ( JUSTIN). children voices adds a special euniqueness to a computer an innocence if u will. Please add these. Keep up awsum work

Really LOVED these voices, but unfortunately it stopped working since the update of my phone to Marshmellow. Program seems to be no longer developed. Posts on Google+ from the maker are 170+ weeks old. IF an update is coming, I would warmly welcome it and give it the full star rating it deserves when working.

Truly a great app, it works perfect with text apps such as Pocket and Cool Reader. I love all the voice options. There are slight glitches at times, and I'm not sure if it's the app or the Amy UK voice. Any word that starts with "to-" like "topic" sounds like it has an extra r in it, like "tropic". And each time there's an "and" and an "m-" word after it, it adds an extra "the" between them, so "and makes" sounds like "and the makes". Very strange.

No matter what settings I choose for TTS on my S5 with Lollipop, Google Navigation ignores it and does its own thing. So does Google Now. So does Sygic. However, I am now using TTS for PDF reading. This is where the app is far more useful. Sadly, it has been an excruciatingly long time without any indication of when more voices might become available. In particular, I would be more than willing to pay for the British English, male voice, Brian (he's definitely not a Brian). Hurry up and sell it to me.
