iTAP Trailer

This trailer control App will turn your Smartphone/Tablet into a Wi-Fi enabled remote control device for heavy trailers fitted with iTAP hardware from Knorr-Bremse.
The App provides you with the flexibility to control all available output functions provided on the trailer such as lifting and lowering lift axle(s) and operating lift axle(s) to increase traction on slippery surfaces.
Trailers equipped the electronic levelling control - iLvl may be controlled via the app. This will allow the trailer height to be adjusted for loading and unloading, memorizing dock heights and selecting drive levels for different 5th wheel heights.
The App can display real time data coming from the trailer such as the current bogie load and pad wear status and individual tyre condition coming from a fitted TPMS system - pressures and temperatures are clearly displayed.
For specialist trailers such as tippers an extended set of output and inputs can be provided for job specific functions such as displaying trailer tilt angle and providing control of the road laying function of the trailer.
The App also provides basic diagnostic capability such as reading out fault codes, pressures, voltages and service information to aid maintenance and fault diagnosis of the trailer.
The vehicle based iTAP hardware provides protection against unauthorized access to the trailer by requiring a brake pressure pairing process to be preformed when a Smartphone/Tablet is connected to the trailer for the first time, subsequently pairing is not required unless an another device is connected and successfully paired to the iTAP. The hardware also ensures that when the vehicle is moving either no information, or a driving specific set of information is displayed to the driver to limit distraction. Finally the iTAP hardware ensures that any request coming from the App complies with the current operating state of the vehicle.
A demo mode is conveniently provided to explain how the App functions without the need to connect to a trailer.
Requirements:
- Knorr-Bremse iTAP hardware and TEBS G2.2 braking system fitted.
- Wireless Local Area Network Connection (WLAN or Wi-Fi) to the iTAP.
- Android 4.0 or higher.

Privacy Policy:
The App does not collect or externally transfer personal data stored on your Smartphone/Tablet.
The App performs a connection via Wi-Fi to the iTAP hardware for the purpose of operating trailer based functions via the App.
