This app is good for two cameras only in the free version. I have tried a third camera. All it does is keeps kicking one of the other cameras that I know is working offline when I add the third camera. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app on the third camera and it does the same thing. The IP addresses are non conflictive. They are different on each camera. I would like to have more than two cameras. Does anyone else have this problem?

pc Just brilliant. I use this to turn my phone into a visualiser. The quality is superb. The webbased controls are easy to use. This has revolutionised my teaching as i can now project the image onto a whiteboard or over an online meet. The light, autofocus, high resolution all make the quality great. I have an old phone with a cracked screen with only this installed. Thankyou for a brilliant tool.

adapter Excellent app; used it across numerous devices for a multitude of reasons for a few years now, never encountered a problem, and the interface along with all the manual controls works perfectly for me. Any plans to move to x265 (if feasible)?

obs This starts out working fine, then a minute or two later, the video starts lagging as much as a minute and the audio is out of sync. I've been trying to get this to work to record to my laptop for almost 2 hours now, but the lagging doesn't even go away after restarting the webcam server. I wanted this to record to my laptop so I could have longer recordings than 20 min that the storage on my phone will allow, but the lag time makes that impossible.

apk Crashes all my phones, one bricked. It starts ok, but after a few minutes or hours it thrashes the phone so much (probably due to a memory leak) that it stops working and crashes the phone. Tested and confirmed on everything from cheap tables to ASUS ultra and Galaxy S20 ultra. Been using it for a year+ with hopes but my recommendarion is to go for another option.

pro apk Every so often, IP Webcam seems to restart or revert to default settings, so Mirror/Flip, Night Exposure etc all get reset to the default - this is very annoying. Why can't it Save the settings (as configured via the web interface) & reload those settings on restarting? Also, new APK no longer works on Tesco Hudl2 on Android 5, had to revert to an older version from APKPure.

ios VERY unfriendly interface. How do I use this damned thing?? Where are the instructions?? I have 192.168.0..... set on my pc, can see that webpage, and can see the webcam on the browser, but NO INSTRUCTIONS and NO JOY. Skype does not see this camera... and that's the whole point.

pro It works pretty well, but I don't understand why it needs permission to read my storage in order to live stream. If I deny it that permission, it refuses to start streaming. It makes me unwilling to keep it installed on any device with any private info on it.

download Seemingly works on phone. My phone is on my internal network and can be pinged however no video comes from this app when connecting to the server. This app is a worthless waste of time. It doesn't work.

Works really well, I use this as a webserver for taking pictures along with termux for reverse ssh tunnel so that I can access the website over the internet. Auto-flash implementation is wrong on cameraapi2 implementation. It doesn't wait for flash. It takes the picture as soon as it gets focussed. Flash should stay on and auto exposure should be completed before it actually takes the picture.

This should be great, but the “server” crashes constantly which makes it completely useless. Update: the problem is the motion detection feature - when turned on this will crash the application continuously. Unfortunately without this feature this isn’t great for security applications.

The program is hard to use, even after googling for a while I haven't gotten a simple answer how to use the audio. Probably only a good program if you are highly skilled when it comes to the technicalities of video and audio streaming. Video works fine though...

Too buggy to for home security. It's unreliable. Frequently crashes, the motion and sound detection function isn't reliable, the browser controls via local ip have buttons that almost do not respond when pressed, and the ivideon streaming lacks the main controls for the camera. It's just not reliable enough to trust it with my home security.

The functionality is amazing however the Android UI is extremely dated and the web server could benefit from a UX refresh. Also I'm having problems with focus not working on a Pixel 1, it doesn't autofocus and manual focus doesn't change anything (it used to work though). The regular camera app focuses fine. I'll buy the pro version anyway.

I use this for live streaming. Works well if you don't have an Apple phone. I'd recommend it. Go on, download it! You'll like it, I promise. After you get the right settings for good quality, you can just start stream, send ip, select settings, copy url, paste, stream! Sounds hard but it's not. Really, best app for Android.

App is very nice and simple to use. It is feature rich and powerful. It turned an old useless Android phone into something functional again. Only discrepancy that I can see for my usage is if the video is set as portrait and at maximum resolution of 800x480. However, when I take a photo (photo.jpg or photoaf.jpg), the photo takes at the resolution I set but it takes it in landscape mode. Is this not able to be override by the orientation setting?

Extremely awesome for free... A few minor improvements could be made, but it's free! Surprised that almost nobody has a good manual on this, at least not easy to find(but giving it some time to test you can figure it out pretty easily).

Really bad image rendering with an Android. Big delay between what the camera filmed & what appears on the computer screen. If I passed my hand in front of the camera, my hand appeared black (and I really do mean black black) and grainy on the screen. Trying to tweak things didn't make a difference! Really bad results! I had to search for a different app that would work right away, without tweaking, and without any delays. I found an absolutely marvelous app called "Droidcam"! I Love Droidcam!

It did exactly what I was looking for (stream video from my phone to my computer over WiFi) and has a lot of settings which is nice. App was not user friendly though and took a bit of poking around to figure out how to make it do what I wanted.

The app works great. But I had one issue that made me uninstall it completely, it overheats my phone to an epic proportion, drains my battery when it's off and just generally hinders my phone, when it is turned off, so I can't even have it on my phone. I won't mind uninstalling and reinstalling every once in a while when I need it, but it needs to get fixed.

Intuitive interface where everything you need is laid out clearly. I noticed however that there is a consistent choppiness that happens every few seconds while streaming video, and was wondering if anyone else had this problem? It's just a slight chop in the video and not much of a big deal, but can be jarring over time. I saw this choppiness problem with a Youtuber who did a tutorial on using this app with OBS, and was wondering if there's any way to fix the stability of the video.

This is a terrific webcam app (and I'm even using the free version). It will run for days w/o problems on a $10 Huawei H868C Tracfone mounted to a window (running Android 4.0). Rebooting the phone usually fixes any occasional freezeups (I use SSHDroid). The only problem I run into every once in a while is that rebooting the phone (#reboot -f via ssh) doesn't fix the unresponsive web server interface ("can't connect to server" message. Otherwise does respond to pings and ssh.

Great app, what a treat to have a free app that really does what it says. Did not have high expectations but I had everything up and running within minutes! As an android developer who has had the misfortune of working on a couple camera apps... very nice job. one minor question - if I turn on the audio response to motion detection, the audio seems to keep playing long after the motion detection timeout has passed. is this intentional behavior? I'd like to be able to just play the audio while movement is being actively detected.

Works like charm. If you have problems, try not to install any plugin for a moment or find out what they really do. Make sure you give the app permission to overlay. While streaming, connect to the same wifi with your laptop. Personally, I have an issue where the screen goes black after the stream starts. Just tap the screen, everything goes back normally. Tested on Samsung Galaxy S8

I really like this app. There are great features like recording motion detection and uploading the video to services like Dropbox. There is also a web interface to change the camera settings and view the video. If you port forward the web interface, you can even change some settings, record a video, or take a photo from anywhere with internet connection. I am using a older phone but the quality still looks good even though it gets warm. My only issue is the exposure drops after a few seconds when I start the server. I wish there was a way to change the exposure settings in the app settings. Also, sometimes some of the setting changed from the web interface do not save for more than a day including exposure. I can't really complain though because the amount of customization settings for this app in the free version trumps a few other apps I have looked at and even a paid app. I see some reviews saying that this app does not work or looks terrible but everyone's millage varies and a super cheap phone is probably not going to look good (or even work at all). The app is free though so try it if you made it this far and I just realized I spent way to long on this review.

If you're comfy working with IP addresses, this is *amazing*. With everybody switching to Zoom for Covid-19 remoting, this is a perfect tool in the toolbox. It's not perfect - the default resolution results in high latency and I can't get it to work on Skype for Business, the web-portal it creates doesn't seem to have a place to save settings to the phone, some odd things there... but when it works it works. I am a bit concerned it has an option to run in the background without the notification icon. That seems like it could be used for nefarious ends.

"UPDATE" I have discovered that the GREEN SCREEN BUG is an issue with the IP Webcam software on the phones, not the viewers or browsers used to view the stream. For some reason, even though this program was designed to switch between both cameras within a single phone, the switch does not function properly anymore. The bug begins when the secondary camera is selected. The secondary feed is a jumbled green mess. If the user does not alter the settings below the feed before switching back to the main camera, the main feed will look normal. But if the video resolution is tinkered with by the user while viewing the secondary front camera, and a suitable resolution is selected, the green screen can be forced to go away by selecting and deselecting the night vision. Sadly, after messing with night vision, both camera feeds become corrupted. Night vision now makes the front camera a WHITE MESS, and most of the front camera's settings can no longer be changed. The issues continue until the IP Webcam program is stopped and restarted on the phones. This Bug seems to be related to the OVERLAY functionality.

I love this! I use it for everything. We have several old phones laying around that are now IP cameras. Knowledge of port forwarding and dynamic DNS allowed me to remotely access a camera I have in a window pointed at the driveway so I can see if anyone pulls in the driveway. I've also used it to assist in winterizing our boat engines. It normally takes 3 people. Me at the helm running the engines, someone in the engine room to tell me when the antifreeze bucket is empty and someone on the ground to tell me when the antifreeze comes running out of the exhaust into the catch-buckets. With this app, 2 old phones allows me do it by myself without recruiting my friends! I just clamp the old phones down so I can see both buckets and my laptop at my side allows me to be in all 3 places at once! Love it!

The best IP camera app I found at the Play store. Easy to use and tune. Works well with various IP camera viewers. Doesn't require creating an account or signing up for any "cloud services". 3 stars because of annoying bugs: (a) The camera flash turns on randomly (without any interaction with the phone or the client). Still haven't figured out the circumstances which trigger it. (b) A recording starts by itself (same as flash); (c) The integrated web client drops the sound occasionally.

Does what it needs to. Sometimes it shows ads in the wrong places. Example: I "fade" the screen, open another app, and come back. I have to leave "fade" and open it again. The ads can be slow to load too, which is hard. The RTSP urls aren't well documented either. And "fade" mode doesn't hide navigation bar. But other than that, it's pretty good for free!

I really like this app. It helps me to use my phone as a second camera for livestreaming. It would be nice, though, if there was an option to select a specific lens (for smartphones with multiple rear cameras). My Mi8, for example, has 1 tele and 1 wide-angle camera and I'd love to be able to switch between those from within the web-interface. But everything else is working great and it is by far the most versatile ip camera app.

Really good app - love it - I bought PRO. Only trouble I'm having is that I had to mount my phone 'upside down' and the photos come out upside down and I cannot find a setting (if there is one) to rotate them 180 degrees. I can do it with the video but not the photos. When in server mode the overlay words on the screen (.e.g "How do I connect") are upside down as well. I have got Auto Rotate on, and when the app is not serving, the text is the correct way up for all the config settings. What am I missing?

I love this app. i have a galaxy class phone. And do in the yard remote bird shots. Have used it to look out for ups from the front window. By using it with a phone that generates wifi it becomes portable with a wifi enabled laptop for in the woods use. No it is no substitute for a remote control slr. But they cost bucks, already had my phone ;)

Well, I can't get it to work. I can see the served web page on a client, but none of the options on that page produces any live video. The options buttons are there (flash, Java, JavaScript, etc.), there is an image of an empty Android home screen in landscape mode (correct date and time, correct battery charge amount), just no video. Both Android 7.0. uninstalling.

It does work, I never had any problems with connecting it or streaming... but whenever I connect headphones, a message pops up asking if I want this app to handle the audio, and it doesn't have an option to not ask again. I just can't stand it, so I resorted to jusy reinstall it whenever I need it.

Why does this indicate it's a previously installed app? It sits in list of, but it is not. Appreciate any response. Thanks for the response. I am the original and sole owner of phone living alone. Perhaps I downloaded it years ago as I do plan to upgrade phone and wanted to use the old one for this function. It just appeared to be a recent addition. I may be misreading that. I have added stars for the quick and professional response.

Caveat - The app indicates that it works with Android 4.1+ devices. Note that it did not work with a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime, Android 4.4.4 device that I wanted to repurpose as a webcam to feed my Amazon Alexa Echo. I went through the VLC media player to see if it would read the necessary rtsp port. Each time I attempted to access the stream with VLC the app's stream server would crash. I checked the VLC log's and there was littile information. I spent about a day trying various configurations but was ultimately unsuccessful. Note, video was available without a problem through the (Chrome) browser URL. To be fair, I installed IP Webcam on my Galaxy J7 Sky Pro and it worked fine. I was able to set up and access the video stream without a problem.. The J7 is running Android 6.0.1

It is one of the simplest apps for this purpose (and also one of the oldest I think). The only problem is that the feed 'randomly' stops showing the videostream. I have it plugged in power, stays at 100% always, disable all possible power saving features. The problem is not the app being killed, but the video just stops, blank canvas. I have the app in 'front'/open always. Any ideas?

Excellent app. It does all that you need, providing a fully functional web interview to control most of what you need. The only feature I'm missing is an Slider to control the focus point. I can set focus to manual but I can't seem to choose a focus point directly from the web interface, would be nice to have an slide as for the zoom, for example. In any case, can't help but recommend to install this app in favour of other, more expensive, solutions. My main use is to monitor my 3d printer, for this, it's absolutely perfect, specially when connected to OctoPI

I have tried many camera apps and this is my final choice. I'm using it mainly for video recording and video streaming with phone camera. Thus the quality of the video signal is much better than that of the built-in camera of my expensive laptop advertised as 720p. Although it might be a little bit difficult to set it up, IMHO this is the best IP Webcam app currently available.

Quick, simple, easy. Does what it says on the tin. Can easily just hit start and go, or spend a few minutes going over the settings to really customize the feed. My only gripe is the seeming lack of feed types and accessibility of those feeds, as my smart TV is picky about what feed its asked to open. Then again this app has such a wide breadth of options i could just be missing it. Either way, its worth the look if you're in the market for a quick ip camera solution.

Congrats to the author. I am a software engineer and from that perspective I think this is one of the best apps I used on my Android phone. I used it to turn old phones into versatile IP cameras and I also used it to take timelapses on my 3D printer. Absolutely amazing! PS: I even ran it on a very (very) old Honeycomb Android Tablet (Iconia A500) and it runs smoothly.

The app is stable for skype calls or similar platforms. But I miss two features in the "actions..." tab while the server is running. I can't switch directly between my front and rear camera. I only can select which camera opens before starting the server or change between the cameras in the web interface. And the second feature I miss is the option to mirror the camera in the "actions..." tab. This is only available in the web interface under advanced settings. It would be a lot easier to use.

Every time I press start server it shows my camera for a second and the screen goes black. If I don't click anything it force closes in about 10 seconds. If I tap the screen it puts me on a version of Google search but when I enter the IP address it pops up search results for the numbers rather than the proper page. When I go to Google manually and do it the page will not load and says error because it "took too long to load". It worked fine the first two times I tried it and now this. Not sure what happened. Help? Edit: Thank You this helped with the black screen and false Google page but the ap still force closes every time 30 seconds after "start server".

This is one of the best Android apps I have ever used. There are some glitches such as using for long time will crash or connecting from two phones using VLC will crash the server as well. But I still give 5 stars given the effort and quality delivered. Thank you again. I just can't find the info on how to stream video with audio in VLC though. Hope there are more documentations.

I have used this program every night to record foxes for at least 18 months. It has worked beautifully and the motion sensor and blanking out motion detection in unwanted areas has been great. My only negative comment is that recently the startup time on detection of motion seems to have increased and now is about 5 seconds of static frame and then a jump and full motion. I would love to know why it has changed from the original second or so. Perhaps Paul Khlebovich would be kind enough to comment. It's on a sony phone

It not only does its job perfectly, but also does much, much more! (background-recording camera, how'd that?) Unfortunately, the UI is an unbelievable mess. I'm not talking about the bad engrish, I'm talking about the labyrinth of menus and dialog boxes. The developer skipped the easy part Is this how it's done on Android?

App works and looks great but I'm having trouble finding the settings to help my current problem: In an attempt to save my phone's battery I'd like to use the camera without the screen being on, but turning off the screen either stops the video entirely or works for about 15 seconds before freezing/stopping... I am using a Galaxy Note 9. Is there a way I can get the camera fully functioning without needing the screen to be on? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Works good but the website ui is like something designed by a three year old. Why are the buttons so far away from the monitor? Scenario; you have to somehow scroll through a page filled with several sliders while trying not to mess up your settings by touching any of them; only to find that your issue is being caused by a setting back through the slider minefields towards the top of the page; meanwhile, you're unable to note changes to the monitor because it's always off the screen. What a mess

Great app to turn an old phone into an IP based web camera. The one downside is that with it running in the background and the display off, it drains the battery even while plugged into a charger. Are there any suggestions to disable other apps running on the phone so it will keep charging? I'm running it on an old Samsung Galaxy S2 under Android 4.0.4. Thanks in advance for any ideas. Updated 2020/01/22 - Took Pavel's advice, moved the camera to a window, it's been running for months now at 100% charged (continuously on charger). This is a GREAT way to repurpose an old Android phone as a webcam!

IP webcam works good for a security camera. I like that I can connect from anywhere and see what is going on. It's very good at doing what it does. It has the ability to detect motion and take pictures when it determines that motion is going on. I've been using it for about a week now, but sadly I have to give up on it. Even though it has motion detection, it doesn't do me any good if it cant notify me when it detects that something is going on. It's not enough to just take pictures or video, they all do that. It needs to notify via text/email and let you know that something is happening so you can take action. It has a plug-in that is supposed to send you an email when it detects activity, but it is extremely unreliable and fails to send 90 percent of the time. Having said all that, if a webcam is all you are looking for, then give this a try. If surveillance is your main reason for having a webcam then this likely wont do it for you.

Great App. I have a feature issue. when the motion sensor is enabled, the sound when triggered always comes from the speaker even when the headphones are plugged in. I want the sound on the source phone to be played through the headphones. The reason is I dont want to disturb everybody at night with loud nouse at the source. Instead, I want to hear it from receiving phone. please add option and ability to have sound played via headphones not just always via speaker of source phonr. Thanks

Probably the only software that allow full resolution picture capture with preliminary live preview. Important for adjusting proper illumination setup. Using it to digitize very old photos (more than 120 y.o.) to avoid bad reflection. It is good that it has multiple menu options - at least I can control settings and not guess if developer did it the way I wanted, which is usually not the case. I would regard it as the best app I have seen so far.

This is the best security app in the play store, even though it is so simple, it works! I tried 5+ other apps, the "big" popular, but they don't work well. You can use this, and an cam viewer app, yes you use two apps, but you need to install anyway one app on both devices. The web gui doesn't seems to work so well for me. But with the IP camera view app it works.

I couldn't get IP Webcam to work. Upon registering with Ivideon, I was then made aware of a subscription fee to use the external streaming service. I thought being a free app the streaming would also be free but as it turns out, to the best of my knowledge, you have to pay an external streaming service if you want to stream your camera feed over the net. I also found the app very unappealing graphically and not very user friendly. Lots of buttons to press and features to enable, a little complex

I use this app on an old android phone to turn it into a webcam. I would give it 5 stars if it didn't regularly fail with: Cannot get camera status! This is f--ing amazing. I heard webcams were sold out everywhere, so for fun I thought I'd check if it was possible to use my phone as a webcam. The answer is yes, and holy cow my laptop's webcam looks way worse than my phone's front-facing camera, steamed over my WiFi, at 720p and almost zero lag. That's impressive. The camera driver works great with Skype & Discord, but OBS didn't like it for some reason. Using OBS's Browser input and entering the video URL worked fine though.

I've been using this app on 2 different HTC One X's to stream video over the internet and locally as well. Everything works really well when once set up correctly. Occasionally the stream will freeze on only one phone but refreshing the page usually fixes it. I think the cause of this issue is likely another app running in the background or possibly my router. Would definitely recommend this app if you can handle a bit of network config

I used this on my Nexus 6 to stream video out of a heating vent. I used the video to retrieve a lost tool. i would give it a 5 star, but the video kept slowly rolling pushing top to bottom. The one problem I have with this app is that the stored videos seem to be at a much lower quality than the live stream. I'm using it to catch people vandalizing my property but you can't get good enough video to recognize them. everything else works works very well. Is there more documentation on this app? EDIT: I can get much better quality by selecting ""other viewing methods"" and using ispy or zoneminder to record and set up their motion detection settings. then only use IP webcam only for streaming and adjusting the camera. This appears to reduce the workload on your old cell phone.

I had to give up on this app as it was too annoying. What a pain in the ass it was! I got terrible feedback as I could not turn off sound while using computer audio. When trying to make adjustments, video ads would come on. It made my Gmail act differently EVEN WHEN NOT USING THE APP! It gets permission of Location approximate location (network-based) precise location (GPS and network-based) As it was from a far away country maybe I should have been suspicious. Easy to use and brilliant for turning the old phones you have into something useful. Has been rock solid after testing for a week and getting good quality output from the feeds over wireless. Still a lot of useful features like motion detection to play with but well worth the money for the pro version considering the Tasker interaction. Also the dev is incredibly helpful and responsive, such a pleasant surprise in times of faceless companies.

This app is perfect for turning your Android smartphone (even an older one) into a wireless webcam for livestreaming or security. While the web interface is nice and useful at times, the real power comes in being able to directly access the feed through a URL for use in software like Open Broadcaster Software Studio. I just wish I could find a comparable app (free trial before I buy) for iPhone/iOS that has as high a rating and is as straightforward to use. Good job!

Works great with everything except OBS. Have to select browser source. OBS doesn't recognise the camera device MJPEG Camera after installing on windows. Also, capped at 30fps, would be fantastic to allow 60fps for phones that support it Would buy full version in a hearbeat if it could support the maximum framerate (up to 60fps) and resolutions (4K) the camera phone is capable of.

Installed this on 3 old phones. Mostly good but after a few days the camera seems to stall and the app either gives error 'cannot get camera status because of "error"' or it just crashes out of streaming mode back to the app menu. Fantastic. Works perfectly with OBS. My phone was wireless and desktop PC connected to router via cable. Browser source you input the IP with /videofeed at the end. Hardly any lag, >500ms. Now using scene transitions in OBS, so dev saved me £100+ on a new camera. You can also change settings to lock screen and run in background to prevent screen burn and excessive battery drain. Defo purchasing Pro to support!!!!! Using a Nokia 8

Carefull, GPlay wont refund this app. Developer gives 2 hours for refund. App only works easy with browsers. Camera adapter for win10 pro 64bit on website of developer doesnt work. Its a great app, easy to setup, worth buying it. Im using it as a 3D printer babysitter and its saved me a lot of lost material already. One thing that is missing tho: some way of remotely enable/disable the camera usage with a button or a url API (to make it easier to automate) so that the server can run 24h without heating up the phone and only really use draw power when needed

It seems to have trouble keeping a stable connection to ivideon. It connects (usually) but it doesn't seem to stay connected for very long. I haven't had this issue just using the regular browser interface though.

It works well with my phone as a webcam. However, unlike the Android camera app, there's no way to manually force focus on a spot on screen (e.g. Holding finger on a spot to focus there) . I want to focus on a bird feeder, but the app doesn't allow me to set the camera in that way. Unusable for me, sadly.

Works well as a webcam as long as video really is the only thing you need, because the "http:/.../video" source only gives video. After finally managing to get audio streams via /audio.wav and /audio.aac (It's not really explained anywhere), the audio delay was MASSIVE (several seconds). In OBS for example the lowest I can go with media source buffering is 1MB, which probably is the cause for this. Audio would've been nice, because as it turns out, my Galaxy S7 has 2 very good mics built, which are actually better than my 70eur headset mic. If I try to set it up in Windows using ONVIF and add it as a device, it stops working after just a few seconds or whenever I try to change any settings. This could be Windows' own fault though.

I loved this app and rated 5 starts. but small problem is It can't be used through usb, and it needs active hotspot of phone or router. How can I use it even though both are not available but I can use it as "USB_Webcam" through 'usb-2' port. overall nice performance and lot of customizability in browser's dashboard. thank you developer- Pavel Khlebovich.

Thank a ton...this is what I have been looking for. The best ever app for streaming with phone. I m definitely going for the pro version. One thing I want to ask as you said in the comments below that RTSP will further delay the latency, but I m finding more latency with RTSP . Don't know why this. Any idea. Http is doing great

Overall mixed experiance, I do appreciate the work and effort to provide this software for free, however I wish there was more clear documentation, Im running on a LG G5 VS987, the biggest issue Im trying to solve is how to get the software to record when motion is detected, currently it only records when motion is detected when a client is connected, I dont understand how thats useful, I imagine most people want motion detection to record when there not watching.

Works well enough, connected to OBS via Pixel 2 XL and streamed through Twitch. Only problem is the "run in background" doesn't seem to work properly for me. When set and screen turned off, after about 10 seconds it freezes the video until the screen is active again, so defeats the purpose as it rinses the battery and the phone gets rather hot. Great alternative to webcam, but needs some polish and bug fixing. But impressive if it can get these issues ironed out.

It works to share you phone's camera as a webcam. If you need 24/7 then the USB charger needs to be plugged in, and you must lower the frame rate to 15fps and set the resolution to 720x480, otherwise it eats too much power and runs down the battery after a few hours (shutting down the phone)

Easy to use, but really good, there's some latency issues if your internet connection isn't stable, but the web interface allows you to zoom in, turn on your flash, flip to the front camera, zoom in, there's even motion detection which I don't need, but it's full of features

It's okay but my problem is in conjuction with OBS. The software cannot seem to sync the audio right. No matter how much I try to get it to sync. If you stream for a little while the audio delay gets real bad. I want to support but till audio sync is better will not buy full version.

Great app, probably the only one allowing full functionality in the free version, but for it to work with the native windows camera app I had to use a separate camera software that simultaneously registers as a virtual camera in device manager and recognizes the windows driver supplied by the author. Since windows added native support for ONVIF profile S IP cameras last october, I have been trying to pair the camera using windows settings to no success.Windows can't discover the device.Any tips?

Further update v 1.14.31.737 aarch64: Samsung a3 2017 issues mentioned below fixed with server options - optional permissions selected..... However identical version installed on Actel pixi 4027x this isn't available. Assuming old OS changes options? . Awesome app..... Looks good but app seems to crash when running in background. It seems to be constantly opening and closing the camera, a ticking is heard. Tinycam app picks up the ip but no image is available. Okay

Crashes when I connect to this Huawei T3 tablet (Andoid 7) from a Windows 7 machine using Chrome, or OBS. Works OK with my other Huawei device, an Honor 9. Unfortunately I wish to use the tablet as a webcam, not the phone. Droidcam doesn't crash the tablet and connects fine, but the app is not as good. If I thought going pro would fix the issue with IP Webcam, then I'd buy it, but it fell at first hurdle.

Emailed the creator and got help for my issue (Configure.exe was in a different folder than expected). This works great! There is 1 second of lag between what's shown on the browser's video feed and what the application using the driver picks up (Discord, in this case). But beyond that, no complaints.

I can't say enough good about this! I was using "Droidcam" awhile back, but it had no Onvif compatibility, sound wouldn't work wilth my Linux VMS software, and the video quality of the RTSP stream beats the pants off the "mjpeg" offered in the other app! This works freaking awesome! Pavel, you're a genius!

Installed this app so i can use my old phone to monitor my entrance. Seems to work well. Setup was rather easy, just start server and your good to go. Settings can be controlled remotely by accessing web ui on port 8080 on the phones ip. Set up a tile in action tiles for easy mobitoring on my smart home dashboard. Works like a charm.

I have two android phones with the IP Webcam app. I use both as security cameras. They work fine for awhile. Then, the app over heats both of my phones and the phones cut off. I have to reboot my phones and restart the app every day on both phones. The two have different ip addresses. I can not view live feeds from the both at the same time. One always is offline, then I have to restart the app on the one I chose not to view at the time. How can I stop the app from over heating my phones?

tested connection, quality & lag, Samsung galaxy s7 with a windows 10 PC, connection works great via browser, super straightforward. INFINITELY better than droidcam. Only 1 app necessary. Still have to test while running twitch + obs stream but this is by far the best IP cam I've used so far. Thank you!!

It works perfectly as advertised. But I wish there was a way to reduce the lag. I am on a 100 Mbps network, but the camera still lags half a second. Using the vlc option with ipv4.

It worked pretty good, but since last update the devices can no longer be found through onvif. Have tried on 3 different devices so far, none of them worked after the update which is unfortunate. Hope it will be fixed soon.

It works but is not useful because it stops streaming randomly. If the app is connected with ivideon and there is a computer with ivideon open and the app is streaming to it then the app will remain active but if you live a phone or tablet with the app open and just want to check from time to time or just the motion detections then the app will stop after intervals ranging from 30 min to 4-5h. As a workaround i used teamviewer to connect to the device and restart the app but this is not ok.

Great camera. Works fine over the internet also. I can't seem to get the ID and password to work or maybe I don't understand how it works. I was hoping to be able to use Id and pw to keep others from viewing the camera over the network.

Great app if you want to customize and control everything without marketing BS. Spent quite some time to find it. Buying paid version just to support author for nice product. This version already has 99% of what I've needed.
