El Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social, IESS, amplía sus canales de atención a la ciudadanía, para lo cual, desarrolló una aplicación móvil. Se trata de IESS App, una herramienta digital que permite a los usuarios, el acceso a los diferentes servicios que ofrece la institución. Para acceder a este canal electrónico, los usuarios deben ser, previamente, autenticados. Está disponible al público en general, para conocer información de interés sobre la institución, de forma ágil y eficiente. El nuevo canal electrónico utiliza la tecnología de los dispositivos móviles (teléfonos inteligentes y tablets), con conexión a internet. En la actualidad, el IESS cuenta con varios canales de atención para que los afiliados, pensionistas y beneficiarios accedan a sus diferentes servicios y prestaciones.
