Good for streaming certain services, horrible for others. It's great for Sirius and TuneIn for me, but has very limited search capability for SoundCloud, and it's horrible on Amazon HD. They really need to do better with Amazon HD, I can get around the other issues but would love to access my Amazon library/ playlists, and there is no way. But I use it a ton and it's very stable for me, excellent UI. It just needs to be built out some more. Last update was 8 months ago :(

Absolute farce!!! Denon have great quality hardware producing fabulous sound quality, but they should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves for producing this (cr)App. It was not great to start with, but since the latest update doesn't connect at all. Really disappointed and will be steering my friends away from Denon hardware now. It's now almost three years after my first review and my opinion hasn't changed a bit - Denon have done virtually nothing to improve the software 🤬

The recent updates made it worse. Cannot group speakers or stereo playback anymore (Heos 3 HS2 or Heos 7). This seems to be a general problem but NO new updates or bugfixes since February. Despite having really good speakers I am reluctant to by Denon products anymore. Just because of this experience. Honestly, this 'I don't give a dam' attitude is not helping you to keep a customer base.

Works great with Spotify and Tidal, but does but support Amazon Music so well. What day I mean it doesn't support Amazon Music that well? Doesn't bring up MY playlists, only some generic ones. Doesn't let me queue songs up. This is a big downside for me, especially since the quality of music from Spotify is on the low end, and the "Hi-Fi" tracks from Tidal is a lie. Amazon Music HD has ACTUAL lossless files, and I want to play that through my Denon AVR via HEOS, and it's like pulling teeth.

Poor. Very hard to connect even when I sit right next to it. When it works, the features are good as well as music choice. Problem is that works 30% of the time. My UE boom works first time everytime. Should have saved 500 bucks and stuck with that. Would never recommend this to anyone. Sorry.

All things considered, pretty good. But I keep every few weeks having to reset network one of my AVRs, with which it thinks it can't connect to network and heos (even though it kind of can) Most of all why oh why, isn't there a shuffle mode for when playing from 'This Phone' if the track was from Amazon. While if track is just a regular mp3 on phone, I can't skip forward or back within a track.

Awful. Clunky, literally has a connection problem EVERY time I use it. Feels like 1995 technology. Turns a really nice receiver and speaker system into an expensive, frustrating brick. I have had the system for a few years now and it has not gotten any better, so it's not just a glitch. Denon obviously just doesn't care enough to make it even marginally better. If I had it to do over again I would not have used denon.

Basic app, it does just enough to be functional. I hoped for much better integration of online music services something akin to Sonos but it is severely lacking in the app. These products are as much about the app than the box but is hard to just demo the app which is probably deliberate as I would have looked elsewhere.

Lousy experience but there is no other way to stream music via my Denon. Poor UI, poor features mean I will not get the most out of my Tidal subscription. Listening to - or finding new - music should be a positive experience but with HEOS app it really is not. Recommend reading the comments here before buying. Denon obviously have no interest in UX after they have got your money.

Devs clearly do little to no testing before they push updates which totally break functionality. Its a 50/50 whether or not I can actually play music through my devices. my device no longer connects. reinstalled the app, wont accept my password, wont send me the reset link for the password. dead kn the water, absolute POS app.
