Description

Hey DJ, are you into harmonic mixing? No? Maybe you should.

With harmonic mixing you'll get better transitions and making mash-ups will be a no-brainer.

But what is harmonic mixing? Well, in music theory each song has a distinctive musical key, and by mixing songs that have equal or relative keys, your mixes will never generate dissonant tones, allowing better transitions and even enabling the mix of different genres.

The easiest way to check if two songs have compatible keys is by checking them against the Circle of Fifths, if they're relative then you're set, just match the beats and hit the faders. With Harmony, you just tap into the base key and look at the highlighted, compatible ones. It's that easy!

Harmony comes with two presets for the Circle of Fifths nomenclature, the 'Classic' one used by Serato and other similar programs and 'OpenKey', supported by Traktor. You can also customize a third option to show whatever notation you need (like the one used by Virtual DJ for example).
