Hadis Arbain Imam Nawawi

Imam Nawawi is the compiler of a collection of primary foundation hadiths (Imam Nawawi's Arbain) which are compiled into An Nawawi's arba'in Hadith or arbain nawawiyah's hadith.

Imam Nawawi's Arbain Hadith is a book containing forty-two selected hadith compiled by Imam Nawawi. Arba'in means forty but actually there are forty-two hadith contained in this book. The Arbain Imam Nawawi Hadith together with the Riyadhus Salihin are considered the most famous works of Imam Nawawi and are accepted by Muslims throughout the world. This book is a favorite among students to start memorizing the hadiths of the Prophet before turning to bigger books.

Imam Nawawi really chose the hadith which is the foundation of Islam in compiling the Imam Nawawi Arbain Hadith. Among these 42 hadiths the most core of the Hadith Arbain Imam Nawawi's book is, the first Hadith: Hadith of Intention, that practice depends on the intention; 2nd Hadith: Jibril's Hadith containing the Pillars of Islam, Pillars of Faith and Pillars of Ihsan; 6th Hadith: About Halal, Haram, and doubtful; and the 9th Hadith: Work the command according to ability.
