The application has been the subject of two dissertation for the degree course in Speech Therapy (University of Milan). The first thesis, entitled "Gulp! The first specific mobile application for myofunctional treatment of atypical swallowing: Myofunctional the effectiveness of treatment with the technological support, "showed that the app has increased the effectiveness of myofunctional therapy. This thesis also was rewarded by AMPLIFON as one of the three best of the academic year 2013/2014 the Faculty of Speech therapy in Italy. The second thesis, entitled "Survey on the satisfaction of patients and parents about Gulp !, the first mobile application for the specific myofunctional treatment of atypical swallowing", showed how the app is a pleasant and easy way to patients' eyes .
