Description

From the listing uploaded by “appupdater”.

Graffiti artists and urban art lovers will find the perfect wallpaper with this app! Graffiti represents the root of urban art. It may be a simple word spray painted on the side of a bridge, or an elaborate masterpiece of color brightening the wall of an otherwise dull industrial building. For graffiti artists, the city is their canvas. Graffiti is often done with spray paint or marker pens, making the artistic technique very different from that of classic painting. At its best, graffiti is bright, colorful modern art containing graphics, words or even inspirational quotes. In many ways, graffiti represents the controversial juxtaposition of art and vandalism, since historically graffiti has been created illegally on public structures or buildings not belonging to the artist. However, while graffiti has historically been considered subversive, recent years have brought a new trend toward lawfully commissioned public graffiti in an attempt to beautify cities with edgy, urban art in place of plain brick or concrete walls. Graffiti artists are no longer regarded as criminals or hooligans, but rather as talented artists. If you see graffiti as the true art that it is, you will appreciate the bold images of graffiti in this app. Choose the wallpaper that speaks to you!
