Since this is the most popular app regarding books, it's incredibly helpful. However, the interface on both the app and the web version are *absolutely terrible*. This is probably the worst app in terms of user-friendliness. The message feature is terrible, and it doesn't club the messages like every other app does. The genre list is exhausting to use. It doesn't let you respond to comments (sometimes you don't even get notifications). The personal update feed doesn't even show all the updates

A really helpful app for those who read and wish to keep a record of, including but not limited to, their accomplishments and further reading plans. ✨✨✨😌 But could have been a bit better, faster and smoother to use. Website has many more features than the app. Could put them in the app as well. Looking for some better changes.😊

The idea is amazing, but the implementation is very insufficient. The app must be using a feed summarization method that scrambles my feed so much. Their website works better than their app.

I've been using Goodreads for years, and the app has been going downhill steeply for the last year. I just updated it (8/26) and now it won't load at all--just shows the loading symbol and then, eventually, "Sorry, something went wrong. [reload]" When it does work, it's laggy asf. I'm going to just have to go back to using the desktop version exclusively.

Love the app. A suggestion : Why don't we also have a 'On hold' option as a book status? You know, for books we have started alright but don't pick it up to read. I started reading a book four months ago, but haven't picked it up for a couple months. So, such an option would be good.

The latest update is buggy. Can't update books I'm currently reading, or any dates. It just either goes to the 'read' shelf if I've marked it as 'currently reading'. Also now it's really annoying to update reading progress - not that it registers it any way. I miss the progress bar in the 'my books' section. It made it so easy. And the button under it isn't obvious at first glance.

love the idea of this app. the friends feature is amazing. listing down books I've already read is a joy. however, there are few bugs I've found. my android app never shows me any friend requests, I always have to login from browser. and it would be soo much better of they let us put in the total number of pages in the "update your progress" section. there are so many publications out there, the mentioned number of pages never matches with the pages of my book.

Buggy. It doesn't always remember that I've entered a book that I've read. Or puts it on the wrong shelf. It would be better if you didn't have to push the down arrow to get to the other shelves. There should be a sliding buttong or dropdown button or even further buttons alongside the Want to Read button to make it easier to add books you've read. Plus the review pop up takes ages to drop down to go back to the original list. Perhaps make the review pop up optional?

Impressive number of crashes for an app for a popular website. I downloaded this to try to help me pick some new books, but it crashed ten times in as many minutes. I'm not so much disappointed as I am just not going to bother with the website or the app anymore. You had one job.
