Description
Ganesha also known as Ganapati, Vinayaka is one of the best known and most worshiped deities in the Hindu pantheon. Devotion to Ganesha is widely diffused and extends to Jains and Buddhists. the Ganapatya tradition of Hinduism, Ganesha is the supreme deity.The principal texts on Ganesha include the Ganesha Purana, the Mudgala Purana, and the Ganapati Atharvashirsa. The Ganesh stuti is based on chanting a litany of names for a deity. Sahasranama means 1000 names Stotra comes from the stuti which means "praise, eulogize or laud".Literally, the term refers to "poems of praise.
