* The association Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque Enfants du Monde allows children with heart defects to come to France and be operated on when they cannot be treated in their country of origin due to lack of financial and technical means. Hosted by volunteer host families and operated in 9 hospitals throughout France, more than 3,200 children have already been taken care of since the Association was created in 1996 by Professor Francine Leca.
