I have loved Flickr since I found it in 2007. For me that flickr site has anybodys tastes. Huge section on nothing but words of sujectd. Profreshenals , choices, save in your account, and if available doownloading. Worth my time..

  2. Richard Soloway-avatar

alternative Long time user. Flickr allows me to assemble my own albums/sets of related photos by category. Flickr IS the visual data base of my folio, and my archive (as a collector). I can make my postings public, private, or restricted. Users can follow other users' postings, join groups, correspond with others, in a cosmopolitan setting of other worldwide users. No regrets.

bilder Oh I love Flickr. I can back up my photos. I can showcase my photography skills (I know, I'm good.) 😁. I get to see a lot of great photography. I learn so many things from Flickr. I absolutely love it. I'd encourage more people to join it. I just wish it'd be a bit cheaper for those buy the pro version.

  4. Mark Sutherland-avatar

ack I've used Flickr for several years now, and it is my only form of social media. It's all about the photos! It's a great app, and really easy to use. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because recently it became a payable app to keep over 1000 photos.

  5. Stanley Cheah-avatar

login Not sure what the developers are thinking when there is no way to even register for an account. It immediately brings you to a log in page and I am stuck from there. Looked all around for a register button but none to be found

bundeswehr Will not let me login no matter how many times I change my password, which it is asking me to do. What a waste and I have so many old photos uploaded that I can need and cant.

kostenlos Excellent application much better than the new one. Improvement was not what the new application brought forth.

  8. Pupper Emeritus The Guitarist-avatar

pro I really like the flickr platform. And i love how the pictures are compressed like 10% compared to other platforms like instagram and whatsapp. Highly recommended. Team Flickr if you're reading this please don't ever shut down and please don't ever increase the compression.

  9. M. D. B.-avatar

iver It still has the functionality of the old Flickr, but now with the new exif and geotagging, it's better. The tag feature i like, and ability to gather up a bunch of photos and group them is still there.

  10. Eric Campbell-avatar

anmelden Flickr is an excellent place to share my pictures. While it's primarily geared towards photography , it has been surprisingly receptive to my paintings and digital art. However , I do think that there is still room for improvement. I would like to see more features such as follow suggestions and curated collections similar to those on Google+ ( R.I.P. ). Overall , I like Flickr very much and look forward to seeing new developments.

  11. Clete Clete-avatar

I started using Flickr when the Yahoo Photos service was terminated. It gave me a free trial as a pro user, then defaulted to free with a 200 photo limit. Then came the free 1 TB. Then the sell off to smug mug. I read my mail today telling me I need to upgrade to pro for $50 or they will delete all but my most recent 1000 photos. I have over 4000 photos. I am not happy because when you offer something to your customer, you don't turn around and take it away, even if you are sold and under new ownership. If I did that to my customers, I'd be ashamed and out of business. I think keeping your word is everything, because if you can't do that, then you are already sunk. I will move my photos and close my account. If i have to pay for photo storage/sharing so be it , but it will not be with Flickr.

  12. Mike Ratel-avatar

Because Flickr has so many different groups based on type of camera, media used to record images, subject, and location it is an incredibly valuable tool for any serious photographer.

  13. John Cooper-avatar

Its slow to use. I take a photo, open up the app and have to wait for the photo to upload before i can do anything. The interface feels clunky, I find myself going back and forwards in the app a lot to do simple tasks. I like the flickr service and have paid for the pro subscription but it would be nicer if this app was just a little slicker.

  14. Randy Sessions-avatar

Lots of work still to do. Have the most recent version of the app and it still says that Flickr is down for maintenance. Free for all those years, now pay to keep your pictures. So, I Uninstaller, reinstall, login, takes a bit, but I finally get in, for about 3 seconds. Almost immediately the Flickr is undergoing maintenance screen comes up again. This needs to be fixed.

  15. Angie-avatar

I used to use the app as much as the desktop version. Now I'm paying double for 1/2 the function since the app won't upload automatically (or manually) or even download. And people have been complaining about this for MONTHS. The only improvement I see in the April update is the app no longer crashes. But still, it shouldn't be doing that anyway for $50/year. PLEASE fix the upload and download issues so we can feel like we're getting what we're paying for. We had better service @ $25/yr.

  16. Chris Mills-avatar

I have sent in many trouble "Feedback" messages but never get a response from the Flickr people! The auto uploader has stopped functioning since 11/23/2018! I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app many times but to no avail! IT DOESN'T WORK! I have been a "Pro" Subscriber for many years without any problem until 11/23/18! HELP!!! Very Disappointed!!!

  17. ON TARIO-avatar

Aw too bad they changed. Free accounts are greatly limited now. It figures...they want you to pay to keep what used to be free. Otherwise I would have given it 4 stars. But they get 2 now. It's not super expensive, but you know what happens - they get you to sign up at low rates and when you get used to using it and spend a lot of time uploading and storing photos and then they start to raise the price higher and higher and higher. No thanks! Bye bye Flickr.

  18. Daniel Eng-avatar

Used to be a 5 star app, but the auto-uploading function has stopped working properly. Has been an ongoing issue for at least 9 months now with little to no response from developers on a fix. Really unfortunate for what used to be a great app and my go-to for my cloud photo storage. Considering the Google and Amazon alternatives more and more these days.

  19. saraohio44-avatar

I've used Flickr for years, and recently paid for the pro version. That's why I'm so disgusted that the app keeps crashing on my Samsung Galaxy S8. I have to manually go into the app turn off the auto uploader, wait 30 seconds or longer then turn it back on. Then finally my phone photos will upload to Flickr on my laptop. I've reported this many times, but it just keeps happening. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app many times to no Avail. Why am I paying money to Flickr for this?

  20. Paul Fargher-avatar

I like the site more than the app, and while it's frustrating having had to upgrade to a Pro account in order to save my gallery in full, I've always been (mostly) happy with the platform. I'm not sure if the (basic) photo editor works on the app, and it's frustrating how the photostream jumps back to the top, after scrolling down and viewing an image.

  21. Sean Piercy-avatar

Absolutely LOVE Flickr. The app works extremely well, as does your website. Most of the negative reviews are due to slow loading. Understand, if you are on a slow network or a slow device, HD pictures will load slow. It's not the fault of the app and I've had no issues with pictures loading quickly on my S7 with a 20Mbps internet connection. Facebook could definitely learn a thing or two from your developers. Tags work so well for photography (and are extremely underrated) and the photo organizer is excellent for batch photo processing. The one feature I would love to see added is the option to edit EXIF data through the site or app (Camera Body, Lense, etc.).

  22. jw la-avatar

used to be so much better. you can no longer scroll through the complete photostream (it only goes back about 200 photos). so there's no way to find old photos that haven't been labelled. and the 'Select' button is gone. so i can't change e.g. the privacy of multiple photos at once. I use it every day but this is forcing me to go back to the PC 😵

  23. Anna Budaiová-avatar

I love this app, very inspiring, well I love the web page so it is nice to have quick access on the phone. And I really like the idea of having all my phone photos backed up automatically - that huge advantage sinceI I never know when my phone dies..... It is just sometimes slow, but you know, that's acceptable.

  24. Sue Walker-avatar

I've used Flickr for years as a Pro. It's storage for the paid version is great, it's quick to upload photos - tho understandably slower for videos - and it's easy to update and edit info for each photo/video. I like that I can batch load from camera roll into folders easily and batch delete photos I don't need to keep. For some reason photos from my phone don't always auto upload tho I've not figured out why yet. Overall it's a great app for photographers.

  25. A Google user-avatar

All i can say about the app is what the app is constantly telling me over and over again which is: Flickr has stopped working! The app was fine until the begining of Dec.18 but it seems to get worse. Same error on three different devices... and yes there are no notification warnings! If it helps, at this moment, v4.7.2 is working perfectly no errors and receiving notifications!

  26. Joanna Mrozinski-avatar

    Joanna Mrozinski

Put up with the difficult upload selection for a long time (tiny thumbprints of the selection view, hard to see which one I want to upload). Now it's impossible to find old photos! Please bring back the scrollbar. Especially as after viewing one picture, it takes you back to the top of the list! I have pro account and some thousands of pics. It's a drag to try and find an alternative for Flickr but seems there's no other choise really as it keeps getting worse.

  27. A Google user-avatar

Has the distinct feel of an application that has been all but abandoned by developers and help team. Performance is so unacceptably poor, that it would indicate that the writing is on the wall for this site. Also worth noting that the "help" team falls so far short of their remit, that they might as well not bother providing any contact details. Edit: - Account now deleted.

  28. Sam Osbon-avatar

I've been using Flickr for a decade now, and it desperately needs refreshing. Buggy and constantly in the shadow of Instagram et al. The UI is okay, but won't attract newbies. Now post server update the app is unusable. This is dire. Loads of people, myself included, pay for Flickr, and we can't use it. In 2019, this is not acceptable.

  29. Ivan Trnka-avatar

honestly, i will pay for the pro next year only if the app will change drmatically.. it is useless for uploading (even tho after the last updates it at least stopped crashing immediately), can not even see the uploadr process and edit the photos being uploaded (if some get stuck, they start uploading again next time with a new badge, cannot retry the upload) and i am missing the Organizr. It is a pain when traveling and trying to back up photos on the go.

  30. A. Vestige-avatar

I've had the Flickr app for 6+ yrs & never had a problem. I've never logged out, but today I was having so many problems with the app & the site, that I logged out, thinking that would help. Now I can't get back in. It keeps asking me to prove I'm not a robot by identifying objects, which I keep doing — over & over. The images are very grainy, so its hard to make them out, but I'm stuck in a never ending loop of trying to prove I'm not a robot. Help!

  31. Pete N-avatar

I like pictures that are suggested for my review, especially the pro users. The app has grown to be an excellent tool for discovering new talented photographers. I've used it to archive my pictures for many years and early on there were not many others, but as I stated earlier it has blossomed into a remarkable community.

  32. Becky Locke-avatar

Increasingly frustrating experience. Omitting the side scroll bar with the date is enough to make me find a new platform. I have tens of thousands of photos from the past 12 years I've been a Flickr member and I'm reaching the point where it will be less of a hassle to move them to a different place than continue paying a monthly fee for an app that doesn't even automatically upload pictures anymore without me force pushing it, despite the options I have enabled.

  33. Rich Bamford-avatar

Since moving to a Note9 last year I no longer get push notifications. It also crashes when idle in the background (when a notification comes in?). The UI is also a bit flaky when scrolling through images. When it was free I was prepared to put up with it but now we've been forced to subscribe to avoid having our pictures deleted it's unacceptable. Latest update has removed the Stats tab. Makes me wonder why I ever subscribed now.

  34. Zoya R-avatar

It was great at first, but in the last few months Flickr has stopped uploading my photos. I just get constant messages multiple times per day Flickr has stopped working even with great Wi-Fi. Flickr has managed to upload maybe 8 photos in the last 2 months and I'm nowhere near my storage limit for a free account. Very disappointed. I'm going to need to find some new storage for my photos and videos. I'll probably try Shutterfly. Maybe something that has a better way to organize photos.

  35. Ian L.-avatar

Would love to give this app 5 stars and pay for the pro version. However, there are simply too many issues with the app. 1) media uploaded via Auto-Uploader is always out of order. For older photos taken before the Flickr install, it's just completely scrambled, often mixing photos and videos from different months together. 2) the app itself crashes all the time. Not when I'm using it, but when it's running in the background. I simply can't justify paying for the full version.

  36. Setya Abduh-avatar

I have been on Flickr since 2016. Two weeks ago, I was asked to upgrade to PRO in order to keep my uploaded photos. Otherwise, Flickr will delete them. Since then, I paid to get PRO for one year. Unfortunately, the uploadr did not working on my phone now since few days after. I tried to get help but no response I got up to now. Can you solve my problem? Otherwise, I wanted to get my payment refunded.

  37. Julie Cunningham-avatar

Flickr has always been a good app but recently with the changes, it's been inconvenient to say the least. Apart from no timeline, I now can't share photo's to my phone or anywhere else. I appreciate and understand the transition and have also been following the forum. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon and can raise your rating back to a 5 star where it has always been.

  38. John Barber-avatar

Great app for viewing images but for uploads I always use desktop website. No longer works.

  39. Alan Taylor-avatar

I'm a long term flickr user and I love the way I can easily share my portfolio and find other photographers whose work I like to follow and connect with. Great app.

  40. Jacob Daniel-avatar

I used instagram for posting my photography stuff before but it robbed the quality. On Flickr it keeps the quality and displays them beautifully. There's a few things I wish they would add being able to add tags and post to groups as I'm uploading it because sometimes I forget to go and do it after. I like the community tho and am excited for the future on Flickr!

  41. M K-avatar

For a long time in the past each photo needed to be deleted I individually by going to info tab of a photo. Then it was changed and in 'All' view it allowed to select multiple pics to delete. seems that functionality was rolled back. Why? I'm sure I'm not the only one that takes multiple pics of a subject but want to keep only one or two but not all.

  42. andy jones-avatar

I totally agree with 'top critical' review written by Ugur. I pay and use Flickr as a backup. Whilst the autobackup is a great assist, should I lose or switch phone, the camera roll function of the previous version app was better. They have lost the date thread, so no way to quickly scroll back in time. Even worse, having scrolled down through the 'all' photos, and click on one to see thr date, or detaila, when you click back, it returns to the top and the latest photos. Sort it out.

Had an Account on Flickr since 2011 used mainly for commenting and faving. then in 2016 I thought I would do it for real and back then it was great. Just recently it's getting worse. Constant crashes, Will not let me on, And worse of all I took the plunge to get Pro so none of my pictures would get wiped. As I had well over the 1000 limit. The handy Timeline Feature Has gone. The Stats Bar at the top gone. and if it doesn't let you on. nightowl1997 on Flickr 👍🏻

  44. Andrea Vogel-Perry-avatar

    Andrea Vogel-Perry

Wow, Flickr. I have used you for years and it's always been a dream. I was even willing to forgive the fact that when you decided to charge a subscription (for an outrageous price, might I add), you held my photos hostage until I paid. But the new app is atrocious. I don't have enough room to accurately describe how frustratingly bad it is. I cannot wait to move all of my pictures over to Google so I can kiss this service goodbye. I hope you sink faster than the Titanic. What a disappointment.

  45. Jaden Abbott-avatar

The app is easy to use, but the uploader's functionality is terrible. It tries to load this, and then load that, and replace those loaded folders with folders from somewhere else, and then just replace some folders here with ones from over there. Did I forget to mention that it doesnt even load all of the folders that containt pictures?! Also, there should be more detail when looking at someone's post/picture. It should be able to load the description and comments in an easy-to-access manner.

  46. Chris Nellis-avatar

I used to love Flickr. it was my go-to application for backing up my phone photo library; one I appreciated so much I felt it worth paying for. Hoe wrong was I? Since they took my money the app hasn't been updated once and throughout this time it has failed to do the one thing I paid it to do. How long must we wait for a fix; made worse by receiving emails saying I can get a (almost) free photo book. I'd rather have a paid-for service that actually does what it it used to do for free.

  47. Jenny Smail-avatar

Updates have wrecked this app and Flickr. Now getting a message every 10 mins saying Flickr has stopped working even when it's not being used. photos don't show up on app when they are on the main site. changes to service are awful and their customer service means you can't get your photos back without doing it manually yourself. I asked 4 weeks ago for my download and nothing. AVOID. Such a shame that the new owners have ruined the community and concept.

  48. USAgent Lo-avatar

edit- since Flickr doesn't give two shots about addressing the problem, can anyone recommend some alternative photo upload apps. Was working great. loved it. 5 stars. but the last update completely hosed it. can't upload from my S8+ and hours after closing app begin getting "this app has stopped working" error message. uninstalled, re-installed. still not working

  49. Eric Sandbo-avatar

Keeps spontaneously shutting down when I'm not even using it. I'll be using some completely unrelated app when I'm interrupted by a box that says, "Unfortunately, Flickr has shut down" Sometimes it closes the app I'm using, too. Might be related to my new Pro account. I've been a Flickr user for maybe 10 years, and it only started giving me indigestion since I shelled out money for Pro.

  50. Isha Sethi-avatar

Earlier there was an option to select photos. But now I cant select multiple photos. Plus if I scroll down to an old photo>>Select it>>photo opens>>and then press back button. It goes all the way up to last photo I uploaded. I am not understanding what to do. Neither I am able to download photos. I even reinstalled the app but the issue is not fixed. Also there is no way to contact the app developer except for writing in play store.

  51. Nigel Cox-avatar

Frustrating. App will not retain log on details and I have to go through the time wasting process of setting up app every time. Even having to request a verification code. Update. This app is worse than useless. As a pro user of Flickr I expect some sort of assistance to sort it out but the signing in and verification process is pointless. Sort it out!!!

  52. Paul Cox-avatar

Hmmm.. updated the App as my Albums had disappeared.. it has now taken on the appearance of the desktop site and is no longer as easy to navigate.. Coupled with the above, I now have to login each time I access the App.. definitely a huge backwards step.. I know you're now under different management, and I have updated to 'PRO' because of the quantity of pics uploaded.. but that's no excuse for heading backwards.

  53. Gamer Wolfe-avatar

A strange fusion of Instagram and Google Photos owned by Oath/Verizon that requires a Yahoo account to be able to use. You also need to pay a monthly fee to use any of the main features off the app. It's good for Pro photographers who want to share and store their work, but it's kind of excessive for someone who already has a Google photos account. Also, Verizon has been known to mess with the policy of the app in order to charge more effectively. Buyer beware.

  54. Ethan Winning-avatar

Once you learn some of the tricks, this is one great app. However, comments should allow for underlining and bold face print to emphasize content. Allow that, and it would be 5 stars. The app crashed five times a day from Dec. 23 thru Dec. 27. I'm assuming that that has been because of very local (a cul de sac with 15 wired homes) wifi traffic.

  55. Paul Clutterbuck-avatar

    Paul Clutterbuck

The app is great, though there are some things that don't work on mobile. Tagging photos with phrases within quotation marks doesn't tag with the phrase, but with individual words. ¶Photos can also be very slow to load, and the app is a real data hog. It should be possible for the user to nominate a maximum resolution for photos to load on mobile, to match smaller screens, save data and reduce loading time.

  56. angela nielsen-avatar

Really disappointed in the recent app upgrade. There use to be a scroll bar to view all my auto uploads.. i used it to view my photos by year/date now there is no way to view without a whole heap of scrolling and its actually impossible to find my photos from even a year ago let alone 3 years ago!! With a recent update on the android app, the "camera roll" has been replaced with "all" section. As this section has the same layout with the "public" section, there is now no easy way to access older photos. In the previous version, as soon as I scrolled, the app used to show a handle to scroll to find a certain date on the camera roll. Now it doesn't come out, you have to keep scrolling forever. How do you expect one to find an image from 3-4 years ago? Total mess up of a good app!

My experience was always good with Flickr but after they shut down for two days and then came back online many features have changed. My camera roll isn't uploading and you cannot scroll to find dates of pics anymore. it's really annoying and sub par. I am considering another cloud for my photos. I am a paying subscriber to Flickr and when I called Yahoo to try and find answers they were so rude and dismissive. it's really frustrating. I have thousands of picture i can't navigate.

I have really enjoyed my short time with Flickr so far. I for sure plan on updating to your PRO Account soon. The biggest thing as of right now that I'm super excited about is you granting the people with a PRO account to be able to upload up to 10 minute videos and that's one major reason I want to update my Channel to a PRO account. I would have done that already but it's not available yet. Its states sometime early next year. Not sure when you guys are going to make that available but once I know then I will be upgrading. Thanks again for this really fun Channel.

I am experiencing two bothering issues. First one, it is crashing very often. And secondly, very disturbing, the auto-uploader make errors in the "taken date", hence, some pictures and videos have to be looked for and modified from the camera roll, what is an actual nightmare... Additionally, camera roll scrolling experience could be improved to search for dates, and it would be nice to have the option to modify take date from the app (not depending on the website)

  61. Coco Laporte-avatar

All my pictures was deleted. Nothing is left on my account. The help support said i erased all my pictures in one go from my mobile on the 15th ! I never deleted anything. Thousands of pictures gone and it is not recoverable. Something is really wrong with that app. And with customer support too because they never believed my side of the story and keep thinking i deleted everything myself. Keep away from that app. Total waste of time and so frustrating. It is theft

  62. Matthew Redmon-avatar

Works, mostly. The random crashes go away if you disable power saving for the app. Photos upload but there needs to be a progress bar (especially when there's a bunch). Facebook upload needs to work... the feature is obviously supposed to be included, it just doesn't do anything even if your accounts are connected. Video thumbnails don't show up in the app nor do collections. Hmm... I think i just talked myself out of another star.

  63. Brett Goose-avatar

Have been Flickr user for more than 8 years via a pro account. Have always loved the website for its content and quality feed back. The app, I would also recommend. While it has gone a little trendy of late with upload options and filters, it's still a great app. Like with all apps, phone make, model and quality all effect functionality.

This app could be better. The auto uploader we is unreliable. The scroll bar is positioned so that you easily hit it accidentally and you inadvertently jump forward. You don't see the same effort put forth with other apps to continuously improve. I expected that when they forced everyone to pay, they would have made some enhancements. As a free app, I was satisfied with it just being functional. Now I will look for another place to move my photos.

  65. Nisah Cheatham-avatar

This review is for the app, not the service. I am a PRO user, fwiw... The app is constantly crashing especially when it is running in the background and another so uses camera or photo functions of the phone. This can occur 10-20 times a depending on what I'm doing. It's unfortunate that this is a problem that's been complained about for awhile now and yet they're have been no updates for two months. I keep sending crash reports though... 🤔🤷‍♂️

Been using this app for many years and been a paid member of Flickr for 11 years. Flickr has always been a tad slow but it's only gotten worse over the last year. Why was the scroll bar removed from viewing my photos? I used to be able to very easily scroll to a date - this is now impossible. This needs to be fixed.

  67. Troy-avatar

Even after Flickr became a paid service, decided to keep it due to tons of photos saved throughout the years. However, the new paid version is actually than when it was free through Yahoo. Finding an older photo is a nightmare ad they removed the month and year from the side bar and once you click on any photo to view it, the screen goes back top to the newest photos and I have to do the entire scrolling again just to get back to where I was. Just horrible UI design.

  68. Anwesha Deb-avatar

First, the camera roll was replaced making it hard to get to pictures of two three years back. it uses a lot of data and its not easy to scroll down thousands of pictures back. Secondly, pictures are at a risk of being deleted after January 2019. how do you expect me to select each picture and download it. one of the most unfriendly apps I have used. updates are supposed to make things better not worse. Is anyone ever listening to the complaints??

  69. Josh Humble-avatar

Flickr has made a lot of changes, which has made it even HARDER to use their service, namely, their app. I have a couple accounts, and can't use any of them with the app, as it simply won't accept my login credentials which are current and usable when logging in on my desktop. It's a ton of runaround only to end up with no access via the app.

  70. A Google user-avatar

The app works ok, if a bit sluggish at times. It also doesn't support the full screen size of my Galaxy S9+, I guess the app is designed for screens with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Also noticed that my photos exported with ProPhotoRGB look terrible in the app but are fine on desktop and mobile browser, Edge on Windows and Safari on Mac.

Constant crashing interrupting my experience with other apps on my phone. Nothing like shooting a video and having a window interupt saying "Flickr has crashed" over and over. 10 million downloads and they can't fix this annoying problem. When are they going to incorporate Flickr mail into this app? An obvious necessity to Flickr users. Get with the program.

  72. Bob Leach-avatar

I wanted to change my photo storage to Flickr as it does not compress the images unlike Google photos. However, I'm disappointed with the mobile upload facility, I often get blank pictures or videos uploaded, or can sometime miss uploading them. How can I trust that it's all safely backed up? I've tried deleting the corrupt images and tried to delete all the data on my phone, but it then decides to ignore them. Any solution to the above? As until then I was thinking about buying the pro version. Is the Windows version of the uploader any better?

  73. Mark Wedell-avatar

Get Your Act Together! This app has become useless on Android since it's last update. Add to that the scare tactic they used to make people pay for Pro (myself included), and the whole Flickr-thing is a complete disaster! Fix it, or I'll demand a refund. I'm sure I'm not the only one, either.

  74. Glenn Rossi-avatar

Flickr used to be user friendly but no more! One can no longer multi-select photos for batch processing of comments and tags. Worse, the App hangs when I turn on Wifi to allow the autoloader to upload my photos. I reported these problems using their online help over a month ago, but I have received no response. If Flickr doesn't get their App working properly, I am definitely NOT renewing my Pro membership!

  75. Trevor Ut-avatar

better than insta for viewing and storing pics. wish the groups were better laid out for searching. maybe some kind of way sorting other than exclusively by date. maybe after you view an image it can be logged that you viewed it so you can continue where you left off. sort by color scheme, style, subject matter. AI subject reconigtion and suggested groups to add pic to based on content. tired of starting from scratch every time im in a group. customized timelines based on interactions.

Scary changes made recently to the app. Now there are two versions of it on my phone. I don't know whether I should be moving my photos someplace else. You need to fix this app!

  77. A Google user-avatar

I just switched from ios to android in Flickr. There are 2 major problem with android version so far discovered by me. First, I can't select multiple photo to share to social media such as WhatsApp. I easily do it with ios version. 2nd, camera roll only upload my taking photo only without other photo that I received from other sources. Can you fix it? For ios version I able to give 5 stars rating but not expect such thing happen in android version.

I have been in Flickr for 3 years now and never had any issues until recently. The app is continuously crashing even when it's not open. i have sent multiple feedbacks and yet it seems there is no resolution. It is also slowing my phone processor. If it cannot be fixed soon you will see many dropping their accounts on android.

  79. Jedd Le-avatar

New update somehow keeps on forgetting the log-in detail, i've to go through it over and over again, and the verification take way too long, plus I can't even download my own uploaded photos. It used to have super fast multi account sign-in and now it just an unbelievably slow app. Very disappointed one, Yahoo...

  80. B O'BRIEN-avatar

long time user but now only with you out if necessity. as we now pay for the pleasure, I'd expect a better service and response to questions. I rarely see interaction on the help forum. video upload is awfully slow. pretty much all files over a certain size timeout and now the app is constantly force closing. you need to do better for your customers.

Getting worse everyday! Keeps crashing like crazy! Been asked to update to Pro, which I won't. Even when I don't use the app, I keep getting notifications that the Flickr app has stopped working. Can't play videos anymore, upload time is too long! Don't go PRO until the app is properly looked into! Disgraceful!

  82. Bev Armstrong-avatar

Flickr was great until I could no longer download my own ORIGINAL SIZE photos to my android to use on photo sites. It says 'download is starting' but is not saved on my computer. I've had the same phone for two years and all worked until it quit. I left a note on the Help Forum and received no fix update or indication that anyone is concerned with all th he problems with PRO MEMBERS who PAY for the service.

  83. AquaVitae0-avatar

Missing functions. For some reason Flickr signed me out of my computer, fine I will use the app to access my account and change the password. Well the app doesn't have any of the settings that the directions from the company says it has. There are no profile setting, there isn't even a icon to the profile settings.

Still Total Neglect. I have been complaining to Yahoo and now SmugMug for more than a year and a half about the issues with uploading media to the site and crashing. The outcome have left me looking for an alternative. I have over 30,000 pictures invested into Flickr and many years behind. It hurts me to advise against this service knowing its potential. If SmugMug does not get their act together with Flickr, I believe they will end up loosing great long time fans and customers like myself.

  85. 2bsure-avatar

I have been using Flickr since 2008.l love the page and I enjoy sharing and seeing other great works. Sadly the app keeps crashing, mostly when I am using the camera or searching in gallery. I have uninstalled it twice and reinstalled it but the same thing happens. Sometimes I upload new photos but they don't show up on the page. It's sad as I really enjoy the page but am very disappointed with the app.

  86. Zachary Salman-avatar

Since May, the functionality of this app has been seriously downgraded by the complete inability to jump to photos from a certain date. I'm an avid photographer with 5 years and 15,000+ photos on Flickr and it's literally impossible for me to access pictures from more than a couple months ago unless i can spend an hour scrolling and scrolling. This was supposed to be a "temporary" change lasting a month at most, but it's been WAY over a month now and Flickr has been totally silent.

  87. Mys Beach-avatar

The new log in doesn't work properly. You end up in an endless loop. You type in your email and password. It tells you that you need to use your new flickr id to log in. I enter it & the password. It once again tells me that I need to enter my new flickr ID. This after them getting you to auto upload photos and then starting to charge for more than a specific number of photos has really soured me on flickr. Yahoo managed to kill their chat and Msgr and now are killing Flickr through poor support

  88. Jordan Jordan-avatar

The Update messed up all my albums. Now its a hassle to upload new photos into a new album. If i upload 50 photos i have to select each one individually and manually put them in the same album. Even though they have the same tag and same date of upload. I cant select more then one at a time. I tried uploading into a playlist but it doesn't upload when i select the playlist. The app was fine before the update.

  89. Robert Jones-avatar

Although the idea of Flickr is a great one, having used it for over 12 years now, the practical use is very flawed, often down and plagued with things that just do not work. Yahoo's take over essentially ripped out the soul and it has never recovered. The site sorta works, the app sort of works, the back up of your phone photos, sorta works. It is a constant finagle and reload to get your uploads in, stuff tagged and managing your stuff. They have niw been down for 2 days, and I can not access!

  90. Michael McClella-avatar

    Michael McClella

Much less editing features than iPhone version of the app. Slower and less polished experience when faving pictures. Feels like minimal effort put into the Android experience. Allowing users to back up pictures, then forcing them to pay to keep those pictures after the new limit is shady business. Sad to see Flickr going down hill so quickly.

  91. Karl Maas-avatar

was great, no i can't open it. i used to use and love this app. but now i can't sign in. i get "SSL error: 3" before i can enter my credentials. i get this with Yahoo's Fantasy Sports app too. i have tried reinstalling, resetting my phone, now i even have a brand new phone with the latest Android and i still get the problem

  92. Didien Shairwan-avatar

    Didien Shairwan

I'm being generous giving it 1 star. Pls change it to the previous layout where it was so much easier to find old photos and select multiple photos without the app refreshing. Once it refreshes it goes back up to the first photo which is a pain in the ass to have to scroll back down to find a photo from years back. For the love of God.

  93. Quix T-avatar

Terrible update! Loved it before, but now it's totally not functional. Without the ability to filter your view screen on camera roll, everything is randomized. I used to look at my photos based on the date, but now they took that option along with the side scroll bar. It's a mess!

  94. Chuck Stephens-avatar

The latest update is a step backward. The ability to scroll by month is gone, only a set number of your photos can be viewed stacked in one long roll. If you view a photo and exit, you go right back to the top. Notifications seem to work, ahem, sometimes? Big cost increase for Pro level and unapologetic two day service break for upgrades (not to be reflective of the app itself) in addition to the lousy app has me less than pleased overall.

  95. Terry Day-avatar

What have you done? I see no good reason to remove the timeline and you've made navigating in the app impossible. I pay a subscription for this too! I thought it would only be a matter of time before you reversed such an obvious mistake but it seems we're stuck with your new and unimproved version of the app. A massive step backwards.

  96. milo tobin-avatar

For a service that is truly excellence on a computer their app sure does suck. I'm reviewing the app, not the service. My main complaint is the lack of meaningful navigation through one's own images. Scrolling slowly through thousands and thousands of images is daft. But worse, when you look at an image and go back to your search, the app takes you to the beginning again! What?! I hadn't used the app for years and just re-enstalled it because I'm currently without a desktop but I'm screwed.

  97. M V-avatar

I used to love Flickr but since you have to pay for your account it only gives troubles! biggest problem: you cannot download your photos! Talking with the support for more than one month now and still no solution! I recommend everyone to search for another platform. This one is useless

  98. MV C-avatar

The entire "timeline" of our pics have vanished - pics used to be sorted by date. Why is it gone now - it was the main reason for using flickr? And the slider? Now searching is impossible. You have not thought the practicality and efficiency through. It's almost as if you are deliberately TRYING to loose clientele. You should fire your developers coz they're clueless - bad business sense to try and reinvent the wheel. Rather feed hungry people with all the money you're waisting.

  99. RSC-avatar

One has to wait 10 to 15 minutes just for one pic to load. Of the 10Mbps available, it'll only use 1Mbps or even lesser and then it'll even drop the loading when it wishes. How do you expect it to be functional and practical. I come back to it so many times hoping it's improved, but it stays the same. Been more than a year now.

Auto Uploader stopped at 12.10.2018, camera roll is not saved, and I would be forced to buy pro account soon. I will, if uploader would be ok. I am currentky using a different app. Update 19.06.19: Still not uploading... FIX IT! Pain in the back side this "service" is.. wish, you Flickr guys could feel this pain... I am not happy 😠
