With Firefox, you’ll get the security you deserve and the speed you need in a private, mobile browser.

Firefox is faster than ever and gives you a powerful web browser that protects your privacy. Keep what’s personal private with Enhanced Tracking Protection, which automatically blocks over 2000 online trackers from invading your privacy. Firefox gives you greater privacy protection while you’re on the web. Block third-party cookies and unwanted ads that follow you around the web with Enhanced Tracking Protection. Google Play Reviews

The beta has disabled too many of the plugins that I cannot browse without. Several of these plugins would more than likely work without issue in the new version or I would at least be willing to try and see what happens. That however isn't a possibility. I have checked all available options and digging through about:config did not help either. This means I have to revert to the non-beta version.

  2. Onsen Mushrooms-avatar

    Onsen Mushrooms

The back button (now only the hanset back button) often simply doesn't work. I push it and nothing happens. I push it again, nothing. I really want to go back, so keep pushing. Sometimes it ends there by me giving up and manually google searching for where I was before. Sometimes, a minute later, it realises I've been hitting the back button and goes back way further than I wanted. Also my addons stopped working which is very annoying.

  3. Cat in a Hat-avatar

The new tab view thing is awful. Visually looking at the page in the tab view is way easier than remembering the URL. I thought tabs were one of the best things mobile firefox had. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! I keep a LOT of tabs open, and having to scroll down a list to find something I need to look at is incredibly cumbersome. I like keeping tabs open rather than just bookmarking things because I hate looking at lists of URLS and I hate losing my spot. Having badly done tabs ruins this.

  4. D Mack-avatar

I can't find a single new useful feature in this update. Be sure to visit data settings to restore your preferences because this update decided to change many of your old settings. The default has been set to allow data sharing for marketing purposes. The default search engine has been set to Google. Saving page as pdf is gone. Support provides solution of "yes, it's gone. Wait and see if it comes back in future updates"..Still finding deficiencies. Seems like Mozilla has lost its way.

  5. S Coston-avatar

I don't like the changes. I liked it the way it was before updates I got on 4/23/2020. A lot of tools I use disappeared with the changes made. Especially, print and Save as PDF. I do a lot of research and want to save items as documents for writing up research results, etc. The changes you made don't save the document as anything! Can't highlight, annotated, or notate a blasted thing for my research notes. I've gone back to plain Jane Firefox and hope you don't change her.

  6. MikhaD-avatar

By the sound of the latest reviews it seems like the latest update was not a step forward. I agree that the tabs page is confusing and does not match the user friendly looking images on the play store page. It'd also be nice to sync tabs with the desktop. I'm leaving this review in the hope of a rollback so I can up this to 4 or 5 stars.

  7. ge ggis-avatar

Hoo boy that new tabs management page is hot garbage. Also, I don't like my tabs sticking around so now I have to clear them all before returning to the app instead of just closing the browser. There doesn't seem to be an option to purge tabs upon exit (unless it's buried in about:config). This is still my go to browser, but this is definitely an unwelcome change.

  8. James Odom-avatar

So different it makes navigation a nightmare. If not corrected, I will soon be ready to abandon this for Google Chrome or some competitor. Very non-inuitive, just like responsive design has become, functional, but too hard to re-learn what has been gratuitously changed, because some programmer thought it looked cooler. It makes me want to stop trying the beta. I can't even revert intuitvely. I hate it.

  9. Tyler Durden-avatar

The new update is very fast. Thank you for that. And I don't hate the new UI either. But downloads are broken and the sometimes it seems like the browser miscommunicates with sites or something.... I am on a Gbit fiber connection with a router to push it and a modern phone cable of those speeds... I shouldn't be having these issues. That being said.... This is the beta and people should expect things like this to happen. All in all... please just fix the downloading.

  10. Molson Ex-avatar

What in the hell did you do Mozilla?? You had a near perfect browser and a uniquely huge list of extensions. All extensions I was using for years now are "Not supported". The settings are worst, most "basic" features we had in the old beta are gone. But hey... After 10 years you finally made the bookmarks manageable and easier to delete in batch. I'm speechless...

  11. John Rollf-avatar

Biggest gripe, when sorting bookmarks, all the folders are expanded with no way to collapse them. To make matters worse, the 'mobile' bookmark folders are at the end of list, after all your synced desktop bookmarks. So you have to scroll through the entire folder structure of your desktop bookmarks to select the mobile bookmark folder that you want to move a bookmark too. Please provide the ability to collaspe the folders when saving/moving a bookmark, like they are collapsed when browsing.

  12. Martijn Bekmann-avatar

    Martijn Bekmann

Was happily using this over the normal version until it turned into FF preview. Now it's missing add-ons and made mobile bookmarks significantly more annoying to use, the collection feature doesn't really work for me seeing as that doesn't sync to desktop. Do appreciate the address bar at the bottom and it has at least been stable and responsive for me. Will likely (be forced to) switch back later, but if it's still missing these features I might sadly have to go back to sth chromium based.

  13. Richard Mace-avatar

Search no longer searches history, previous history deleted and now only goes back twenty four hours . No capitalisation on new sentence (Facebook). Can no longer print to PDF. Name tagging no longer works when adding comments to FB thread. Can't upload pictures without granting access to camera. Really lots of retrograde developments. No longer supports 'push notifications' from Twitter. Seems a little bit quicker though. 🤣😂🤣

  14. Ginger Jesus-avatar

All the tracking settings are on by default, the security add-ons that I used have all been disabled, Google has been set as default search engine... GOOGLE! The downloads page has been disabled, tab view is gone, privacy settings have become basically useless... Why, Mozilla? Are you finally selling out and putting profit above your customers??? I thought this company was better than this, but it's the same across multiple versions. Mozilla finally sold its soul ...but, hey! Love the dark mode!

  15. Dave Hasler-avatar

This new version is terrible, it really didn't need this drastic change... although after using it for a couple of days I'm getting used to it. It seems a little more responsive on my older phone. Whether it's still a battery hog will be interesting to see. Why turn on telemetry by default? I thought there was a trend away from that? Some of these reviews are brutal. Firefox developers are living in a bubble - have they forgotten who their core users are?

  16. Dave Hills-avatar

Main reason people use Firefox is Add On and customisation. Once again Mozilla has released a product without these aspects being covered. Not keen on new UI at first look, but would give it a go. However, missing add ons mean I am moving to another browser after some 12 years on Firefox. Will probably have another look in a year or so if still being maintained.

  17. Aaron Barrett-avatar

Oh wow this new update is horrendous. A lot of the time I find it easier to visually recognize webpages in tab view than try to remember what their url looked like, so the tab manager is really difficult to use for me now. Also I don't want the prompt to open something I've just downloaded, android already has that covered and it's less intrusive. It was going so well, I had been using Firefox for at least 3 years, but I think I may have to switch back to chrome. If ain't broke don't fix it.

  18. Bryce Byrd-avatar

The new UI is cluttered, uncustomizable, and requires more clicks to get the same amount of work done. You've failed in the only thing I needed you to do. Five hundred characters isn't enough to completely express my displeasure with this travesty. Suffice to say I will be trying out other web browsers for my phone now. Oh, I do want to say, if I close firefox. You know, actually CLOSE it, all the open tabs should be closed too. Its not right to make us always have to separately close them.

  19. None None-avatar

Despise the new update! I loved having all my tabs across the top of the browser. I like to read a lot of web comics and other media. I'll have over 30 tabs open at a time and it was so easy to just swipe back and forth to see my tabs. Now I have to hit the damn tab box then scroll... yeah, that's better!!! Let's add a step to something that was simple. Even worse, you don't have a choice to go back to the previous version. "Here is some rotten food, eat it and like it, or starve."

  20. Kieron Flood-avatar

I updated the version, and it just completely messed up the tabs. Tabs are now in a list and be can't be sorted in the order you want. Also it's messed up all my bookmarks. It used to be in the order of which I saved them. Now they're all just unsorted and jumbled up all over the place. And that looks unchangeable too! I hate this version so much.

  21. Alan Lowe-avatar

What a mess! I updated then found that the pop-up keyboard covered the address bar now at the bottom of the screen and that the button that calls up the drop-down menu for favourites and history had disappeared. There is no way to navigate except via the search bar. Rubbish, Mozilla. I have championed Firefox for many years but you are forcing me to abandon it.

  22. Kael W-avatar

Really has been my favourite browser but this update is awful. The open tabs are not so quickly recognised, wastes my time. It doesn't look as good. I know its firefox I don't need a huge banner to remind me. Disappointed in it. Ill probably get used to it but I'm considering changing now. I never would have before.

  23. Harry Whitcher-avatar

Have used Firefox on Android for many years, today's update ends that. Randomising my bookmarks into an unfathomable order, removing easy search for new add ins, removing a "classic display" with a new and completely different one. It will take hours to sort my bookmarks back into the order I want. I don't want to sync, as my tablet is not my desktop and I use it differently. There is never an undo update on Firefox. If I am going to spend the time sorting it out, I'll probably change browser

  24. Lenovo Tablet-avatar

Tabs are now basically gone completely? Wow. Time for a different browser. I really hope you rethink this before you get rid of tabs in the mainline version. Clicking on a button to see a list of URLs, and then scrolling through that and clicking on the one I want is NOT a "tab". That's essentially the same user experience as bookmarks.

  25. Ashkan N-avatar

Sending webpage addresses to Firefox on my PC is really useful and productive. It was super efficient: from other apps you just needed to use the share feature; then you were asked to choose to send it to other devices or open it on Firefox on the same device. Unfortunately, on new beta version, you first need to open the shared link locally, then you can send it to your other devices.

  26. Peter Robinson-avatar

I like the new look but it's completely broken the sharing feature. With the old version when you were in another app you could hit Firefox in the sharing and you had 3 basic options: open, bookmark, send to one of the other browsers in your sync list. Now you have to open it in the local browser, then share. Even from there there sharing is more clicks to send it! What was a 2 click option to send it to my desktop it now too many! Seriously grumpy!!

  27. Robert Kolotilo-avatar

    Robert Kolotilo

Development on this seems to be going the wrong way. Lots of features missing, bookmarks feature a mess, big ugly fonts that will test your thumb to its limit. There are few settings to set, might as well remove that feature too and dumb it down the last step. Time for Beta2 and let the pros for useability continue with that one.

  28. Lynne Brown-avatar

This update is not a step forward. I loved the way the original startup page contained a handy list of Top Sites and tabs for Bookmarks and History. No wasted space. The new UI is a hot mess. Also, the app stopped working with Autofill. I use LastPass to autofill login fields rather than saving passwords in Firefox. This stopped working after the update.

  29. Obama Donald-avatar

Everyone should visit: ( BrowserBetter. Com ) to install the best browser app. It's BLOCK ADS and FASTER. Firefox update is not a step forward. I loved the way the original startup page contained a handy list of Top Sites and tabs for Bookmarks and History. No wasted space. The new UI is a hot mess. Also, the app stopped working with Autofill. I use LastPass to autofill login fields rather than saving passwords in Firefox

  30. 丂卄卂ᗪㄖ山-avatar

I like that you improved the speed and performance. Websites loads a lot faster than original firefox. But the UI is not user friendly. It's so confusing. Why there is a open tab bar in the home screen? And no way to disable the collection thing. Please create a more user friendly home screen.

  31. R Garrett-avatar

Always seems when an upgrade is completed to make it new and improved its worse. Bookmarks are now scattered no way found so far to list by date or alpha. Wish they would quit reinventing the wheel, upgrading security is great but leave the rest alone AND at least give user the option, 1 day old browser next day surprise you have an all new and shiny browser....Not.

  32. Amar Persaud-avatar

Wonderful. Breaks all add-ons that haven't updated yet. Completely changes how tabs work to a objectively inferior UI, say there's more "customization" (wow, two checkboxes for light/dark and address bar position). I also don't need a huge "Firefox browser" logo taking up a third of my screen, the new tab page is now blank aside from search suggestions and I can't access the menu from it, I DONT want "top sites" or "add to home screen" but both take up real estate in the menu.

  33. Stephanie Richards-avatar

    Stephanie Richards

Gonna be honest, I didn't wake up today wanting to learn the intricacies of a new app just to check the news. Didn't want to have to have all of the muscle memory that makes browsing fast, suddenly become completely wrong and different and slow. I knew the change was coming, I looked at the nightly... but I really don't like it. Still going to use Firefox, because security. And this is where all my data is. But probably not going to ever accept these changes.

  34. Moises Pagan-avatar

Opening to the awesomescreen swiping between history, bookmarks, and tabs is what I'd like, but separating them further increases difficulty in navigating w/ the first two "hidden" in the settings panel. I don't use collections only bookmarks. Editing bookmark's position and keyword is impossible. Keywords don't work. Colors are beautiful. Scrolling down doesn't hide bottom search bar. Tabs can't be rearranged. Add new tab button is redundant when search bar does it as well. Customization gone.

  35. Michael-avatar

Really do not like this Firefox bet. The new layout at all at the bottom of the page. Why do companies always have to change thing when the work in the first place. If this Firefox is rolled out I will be finding a new search engine. Been with this guy's forever too. Love Firefox but definitely not this one.

  36. James Thomson-avatar

Speed is much better than the old version, but room for improvement. Like collections. Really miss visual tab representation, needs more add-ons (this is coming), URL bar should stay at the bottom when selected, and Top Sites/Collections links should be editable (at least the name). In addition, it would be nice to easily access Top Sites/Collections in private mode.

  37. Tobias Havla-avatar

The new interface requires much more clicks and scrolling than the previous one (no compact tabs, bookmarks hidden in menus, etc.). No longer possible to disable the scrolling top bar, no more tab reordering, no longer possible to sideload XPIs, about:config is supposed to be removed from the stable release, still no support for the bookmarks API (Auto-Sort Bookmarks, floccus), in general very limited extensions support, video background play API can no longer be blocked, no more Android 4.4 support, proprietary libraries (F-Droid build impossible) ... The only positive thing is the ability to customise search URLs. Was it really necessary to reinvent the whole UI? Is it really a good idea to make users relearn your whole application? The previous UI was great, well thought-out and very efficient (e. g. new tab button at the same position as the tab overview button, so opening a new tab was possible with double clicking on a single spot). The new UI is a mess. It is inefficient and odd-looking. At least for the migration period, it would have been favourable to make the new UI more similar to the old one, so users are not greeted with a whole new, unfamiliar browser, but rather subtle changes (new icons, top+bottom toolbar, different backend, etc.). I've disabled automatic updates for the stable branch and I'm seriously considering the switch to Brave (once extensions land) or Kiwi (depending on the availability of future updates). Goodbye Firefox for Android.

  38. David Glennie-avatar

Catastrophic update. Currently unusable as Noscript addon cannot be enabled; huge security vulnerability. The new interface is unusable and inefficient, requiring multiple taps where only 1 was needed. Cannot turn off search suggestions which is a privacy leak. Marketing data collection is enabled by Default! Totally unacceptable.

  39. Da Tao-avatar

No more showing history list when long pressing back, no more page preview. Both are huge steps back at UI design. The update puts search bar at bottom when it starts first time. Not good. I understand beta version can dramatically change, but it is beyond my imagination. Please bring page preview and history list back.

  40. Jay WrightWay-avatar

This new update should have been worked on a lot more before getting tested. The new tab layout, in a big cluttered list, is much less useful to use than before, especially with all the unused space at the top on tablet devices that had been used for tab navigation. The new hype about the dark theme is unjustified as custom themes were compatible before, and now that they aren't, my user experience has been massively decreased. You've taken more away than you could ever give. I want to go back.

  41. Pow M.-avatar

Holy guacamole, the new UI is stupendously horrible. I do not know how this made it past alpha testing. There's basically nothing salvageable here besides the dark theme. Everything else is just a straight downgrade from the previous UI. I'm migrating to the stable release until this is either reverted or until this change makes it to the production build. If the latter happens, I will find another browser to use.

  42. S Pwyll-avatar

Been a dedicated Firefox user since Mozilla made the switch from Netscape to Firefox. Naturally I used the mobile version as well, though I had to switch to the beta version because of some usability sacrifices in the normal Android version. Now they have removed every feature that set the mobile browser apart from other mobile options. The Firefox team seems to have been on a quest to drive away users for a couple years now and they may have finally succeeded with me...

  43. L L-avatar

I love the speed of your newer engine but bookmarks in the new beta are a mess. Bookmarks don't save in order now just randomly in no order and folders go all the way down on the bookmarks unlike the previous legacy Firefox where folders are all the way up and organized very well. Please fix thank you for all your hard work to update gecko.

  44. Roger Thompson-avatar

Looks are deceiving, looks nice but far more difficult to use and navigate. Thought it might of just been me having to get used to but nope. Tabs are no longer, and the alternate list approach is awkward and difficult. No navigation controls on toolbar, cuz no more tool bar, more keystrokes required just to save a bookmark, Instead of a download acknowledgement popup, you get big banner. Major backwards step. Now I am looking for old versions to revert back too. Too Chromeish..

  45. Johnny Clemano-avatar

I just upgraded and it all seemed pretty exciting for a moment until I found out my much-needed add-ons are no longer supported. This is detrimental to my finances and livelihood... I am not impressed. I'll be installing the previous version APK from a different source. Don't release new versions if it lacks essential features!

  46. Thomas Morales-avatar

The forced redesign is awful on phones and borderline unusable on tablets. Taking away the functional and familiar desktop-like tabs on a tablet only to replace it with an interface that is already worse on phones than the old phone interface is a... questionable decision, to say the least. Additionally, I fail to see the reason you removed keyword searches from mobile. While the majority of users might not be taking advantage of that feature, it hurts powerusers like myself.

  47. Lucian Z-avatar

Stop breaking backwards compatibility with extensions! One of Firefox's greatest strengths is the extensions collection. Without that it quickly becomes "just another browser". The new default address bar position may be easier on the finger but it's weird on the eye, thanks for including the option to revert it.

  48. Jooles C-avatar

If I wanted Chrome, I'd use Chrome. This new UI is awful. I can't just close tabs anymore without having to do an additional tap to get to the tabs list and also can't just switch between the tabs I have open easily anymore. Not to mention that I now can't just type in the address bar to find a tab I've kept open and have to waste time looking for it in the list by eye. Why are you ruining the app's usability to gain a tiny amount of screen space?

  49. Michael Christie-avatar

    Michael Christie

Accessing bookmarks now requires 2 taps compared to either a swipe or being on the homepage. Tabs being listed by name instead of pictures adds additional time to determine which site is which. Tabs don't close on app close anymore, only through the "quit" function. Clear private data defaults to every option selected regardless of previous choice. I love dark mode and bottom navigation bar but this update's 1 step forward 10 steps back.

  50. Constance Beckett-avatar

Well, I updated today (24/4), and I'd love to review the brand new rollout of the New and Improved Beta. I'd love to, but I can't, because I've been unable to use it as it's crashed every single time I've tried to used it. I almost downloaded a page. Some of the options look good - night mode is promising - but yeah, the continuous crashing is sorta a deal breaker

  51. Swagmar-avatar

The biggest turn off is the fact that they merged the original home page with the pinned pages and the tab browser together. Also when you open a new page you automatically start searching inside of getting the option to do something like open history or bookmarks. The only thing that they seem to have done correctly is that the app seems more responsive than the original but, I would rather have the slow original than this.

  52. Tim Davidson-avatar

Awful design of the home page and open tabs. Where as before each open tab had a preview window/tile so you could see where you were up to, now all that exists is a list which is much harder to glance at and switch between. . . Wish I'd not updated now, as everything else looks good and like the new addition of saving to a collection, however, should have kept the tiles. 👎

  53. Bob Franklin-avatar

Update removed feature re-ordering tabs, now select a tab takes me way down to bottom of tab list, collections are just bookmark folders- tabs don't stay open, so not tabs, there's not a way to contact developer to report the bug and complaint on the website. Can't switch to mobile from request desktop, can't see typing text when typing in landscape in page field (opens full screen and all is black, maybe black text on black background from dark theme). Beta on PH-1 Android 10 force-dark

  54. Jackie Lee-avatar

Updated to latest v75.0.0-beta.6, and it's very disappointing. Some very useful features have been removed, like holding back button to open navigation history list and visual previews in tab view. Tab view is now just a vertical list of text descriptions, which hardly useful. Don't really see anything that differentiates Firefox from other browsers now.

  55. Catalin Deluxus-avatar

The only good thing about the new UI is the Adress bar at the bottom, otherwise add-ons don't work anymore, the whole tabs thing is incredibly non-intuitive, and when I open a bookmark from my home screen, it doesn't display the whole tab, and regular menus!! If it ain't broken, don't fix it!

  56. Genjy Smith-avatar

Ok at first I thought the no tabs was a bit annoying but overall it was fine. Now it's not interacting well with other sites (reformatting them and changing their background to whatever theme colour you chose) and the way you swap the tabs is a nightmare, only being able to see the URL and an icon of the site that sometimes doesn't even load. The old one was fine please go back.

I've explored everywhere but couldn't find how to manage downloading and downloaded files in the latest version :( I really love the new design that the address bar is placed at the bottom but it just returns back to the top when I try inputting something. Could you move it to just upon the virtual keyboard while typing?

Useless update. Poor user experience. Automatically Opts you in to data sharing. Opens with a list of tabs, not the last one you were looking at. Can't change that behaviour. Important add ons not supported - like ghostery and privacy badger. Which makes it unusable for anyone who wants security and privacy.

  59. Mike Greco-avatar

It is a piece of S#it now! It makes my tablet act like a small screen phone! And everything that use to require just one tap like refresh is more. No tabs at the to so you can easy jump from one to another... No let's make it so you have to clear the screen and jump around. Whoever is in charge has his head up you know where. I have only ever used Firefox from day one now UNISTALL IMMEADLY. Thanks for nothing!

  60. Drew J-avatar

Really disappointed that (even in a beta release) add-ons like LastPass aren't supported yet. Pair that with inconsistent and sporadic syncing between devices, buggy navigation and a completely new UI/UX and you're left with an alpha release not a beta. Hope this gets fixed soon. I enjoy Mozillas products.

  61. Dean Ropp-avatar

Upgrades (updates) are always a traumatic event with fire fox. I got the beta because it was more like the old app and now it updated and it sux. That's the way it goes with these muppets. They always think they can do better but they don't. Same thing with pinterest! Updates are a mutha!

  62. Luciano C.-avatar

This is a superior browser on Android. A bit for getting used, then it's fast, innovative, secure and private. Complex pages are rendered correctly. Closing an eye for some marketing in excess here and there (because winning the masses requires that): if this is the future of Mozilla, I sign for it. It also seems far enough from the intrusive G ecosystem (if G is not capturing anything you type and think by other means already), however a bit pushy on its own sync perhaps.

  63. Jay Little-avatar

What brilliant person decided to completely break the browsing user experience and expected workflow that has been in place for years? This update is painful to use; I might as well be using one of the early Firefox mobile versions for all of the user interface "functionality" that this beta gives me...

  64. Adam Crowell-avatar

I urge you to reconsider some UI parts of the revision. Chiefly, it takes way too many clicks to get to bookmarks now (please add them back to the URL bar), and then once there, the font is way too large and you can't see names of any real length.

  65. Patrick Hogan-avatar

Latest version (April 2020) is harder to use than previous versions. Using tabs and bookmarks is cumbersome and slow, requiring more steps and taps than before. Not sure where easy access to reader view has gone, but I'm missing it.

  66. Teddy Hannan-avatar

Wow!! I got ready to complain only to see that half the planet beat me to it...The pretty much covered everything, except, (and I could be wrong I didn't have the patience to take years to read them all) but where is the multi page back button? It helps when you do research like me. Actually any back button at all? Really firefox?

  67. COSMIX 11-avatar

This seems great.. But the share menu is a little difficult to navigate as its horizontal.. So once you have shared through a few apps etc it clogs up so you can't see the rest.. Please fix this as I had to uninstall to be able to share through others again. Can't do that every time.. Perhaps you can add it vertical & also give it ability to move the app icons off etc or fix some defaults etc PLEASE...

  68. Sam S-avatar

Update. The new ui is easier to navigate the limited settings you've permitted us. Initially tagging us like wild animals with trackers for location *-NOT COOL*. On average I follow only 1 suggestion link per DAY, and not because I don't click links, but because the process which y'all display ads is disgusting, invasive, disconcerting, like a peeping Tom into your tenants bedroom while they sleep. Or watching your dog while it poops, shooting a flare to Mark and LZ and waiting for an evac ....

I like a lot the last updated you just did with the new design and everything. The first time i was just lost and i found it weird, but it's always the same, one gets used to it very quickly. The URL bar being bellow is quite smart, you dont have to getyour thumb to the top each time, i like that idea. The tabs meing as list is also cool. I like the dark design! i was waiting it Also now one has an option to open or not directly in third app, which i appreciate cause it saves a bit of time

  70. Andy Ye-avatar

New update is horrible. Some pages don't load the same anymore like amazon loads in a desktop view. The tab changes are very bad as well. When you close the app and reopen it you have to manually reopen the tab instead of the last paged viewed stays there. Going back to using chrome.

New Firefox breaks add-ons, the 1 that still works for me is ublock origin and it deleted all my customized Scripts. Unable to find where downloads are. I like the dark UI and that you can move the cool bar back to the top. However for now I am going to try to revert.

  72. Daniel Eisener-avatar

As usual, Mozilla's changes to the UI are poorly-considered rubbish, uniformly worse than before, and can't be changed or customised in any way. Also, the bookmark syncing bug still hasn't been fixed after several years, despite an active bug report on Bugzilla

  73. Catt Catt-avatar

The look and ability to easily go to a new site was ruined today in the update. For every favorite site you want to open you must open a brand new tab, and then go back and close the previous tab. And only 2 settings options so no way to change this.

  74. Richard Smith-avatar

Ridiculous. It's not usable without usable add-ons. If Mozilla wants to get feedback, then it needs to address the entire user experience. It pissed me off, because I had to go setup regular Firefox and my add-ons, as well

  75. The Rippa-avatar

Unable to download anything. Download failed ???????? New paragraphs or sentences don't automatically begin with a capital letter. New bookmarks are moved to the bottom of my existing instead of at the top.

  76. prashant c-avatar

The new UI is just amazing. With the dark theme mode and search bar at the bottom of the screen, the browsing experience is just revamped to next level. Just 1 suggestion from my side, whenever I'm downloading any file, the browser shows a "Downloaded Notification" at the bottom of the browser. I preferred the earlier version where it just used to show as a notification.

Can I please have my tabbed view back? It's one tap too many to tap first on the number and then on the tab in the list! And where the hell is the "plus" gone? How can I open an additional tab for browsing another site?! Please improve!

  78. grif rift-avatar

Why fix what isn't broken. I have used the browser for almost 5 years. I miss tab access on the front page, you have to take a few unnecessary steps to open secure tab and the list goes on. In urgent need of a fix!!!

  79. rod zilla-avatar

New UI Sucks. Url bar is on the bottom now and tabs are one big list. Time to uninstall and go chrome. Use firefox mobile for years back when they first rolled it out for android. 2 steps forward, 3 back..."If it ain't broke, dont fix it." 😡👎

  80. Mark MacKinnon-avatar

This new version is a mess. Simple browsing now opens multiple tabs without meaning to, have to keep closing extra tabs. And what is purpose of "Collections"? Why not make it easier to access Bookmarks instead? Why duplicate features?

  81. Steven Hansen-avatar

So far I like the new Firefox preview that's now merged in with the old Firefox for Android The only problem is the way they reconfigured send tab to other device I can't read which device it is that they have to send it to so that needs to be reconfigured the way it was before other than that it's working pretty well especially with ublock

  82. The Solamnic-avatar

Love the new dark mode and bottom UI. Would be nice to have tab reordering and a way to switch tabs by swiping on the bar to go to the next one over instead of going into the overview. Also seems like text selection could be improved and not be so over the top with the vibration motor.

  83. Beau Jordan-avatar

Great step up for Mozilla's FireFox Beta for Android. Definately different from previous versions and significantly better than other products. Easy learning curve on transition into new interface. Screen layouts are matched to your device and new functionality shortcuts add to the list of dynamic changes. The early release of this Beta gives enough views into changes to come. Want more, NOW!

Firefox beta for Android has come a long way and is a very competent browser. It is the perfect complement to Firefox beta used on the windows 10 platform. After all these years I have finally concluded that Firefox is the best cross-platform browser, truly a browser for every device. LG V60 running Android 10.0 on T-mobile. Jai Nitai Gauranga.

They're making some big changes but losing most of the extensions in the process along with killer features like the tab queue. I don't quite understand why they would be pushing it so hard with so much missing.

  86. Malcolm Dixon-avatar

This is worse than the previous version, looks nice but less functional, lost critical add-ons, not happy, but I'm sure it's more secure and will get there and I'll get used to the new layout so I'll bear with it.

  87. Sara Fernandez-avatar

Absolutely hate it now. What the hell happened to the simplistic, minimalist look you'd been rocking for years? Now there's "collections", a gigantic new tab bar, and weird URL bars all over the place... Yeah, well buhbye, I'm going back to chrome.

  88. Steve Steinhart-avatar

    Steve Steinhart

Hate it. Bottom Bar is stupid, don't like the list of tabs, it won't use logins and passwords even though they are saved. So far, I hate everything about this. If they don't give us an option to go back to the old interface, I'm changing browsers.

  90. LJ Neve-avatar

Ugh, Nearly unusable. Extra clicks to get to bookmarks, switch between tabs, and what's with all the empty white space just for the Firefox logo? This is an April Fool's joke, right?

  91. Ethan B.-avatar

Latest update creates a confusing interface that requires many extra taps to do basic things like open a new tab. Settings and options are limited and add on support is gone. This is very much a looks over function update that I'm sad to see from Firefox.

  92. Ashley Frazer-avatar

Which idiot signed this off? They need to be sacked as transportation for life is no longer available. Removing the tabs at the top in favour of flicking into and out of another screen is plain daft. Lack of extensions is also lacking. This is design over function Bring back the tabs and APOLOGIES

  93. Darr Whyask-avatar

WARNING - DO NOT UPDATE TO FIREFOX 75.0.0-beta.6 They've completely changed the user interface and in the process broken the browser to the point that streaming box users can't even navigate the page down! I'm gutted. They intentionally ruined Firefox and for utterly no reason.

  94. Samuel Kemp-avatar

Why would you change the UI?? What the hell happened to my top sites? Why are tabs a goddam list instead of TABS? Whoever was in charge of these UI changes deserves to be fired. Anyone with half a mind could tell this is a downgrade. It was so good before, stop fixing problems that don't exist.

  95. Bill Tipp-avatar

I've been using it for years on my desktop it's the only one I trust. If this Android version is half as good I'll be happy. It has many addons to customise it for your needs. Give it a try I think you'll like. Updates to follow..

  96. Graham S-avatar

V75.0. Last update this week sees tabs assists instead of pictures which are likeable. The bigger problem being that listening to music etc now have to leave the screen on else app stops playing!! This on Android phone.

  97. Tina Brown-avatar

Loved Firefox Beta until they completely redesigned the format 4/21/20. I don't have the mental energy to learn a new browsing format. So I've happily switched back to the original Firefox browser.

  98. Jason Richards-avatar

The new updated layout for tabs is awful. It's now impossible to view/manage tabs. Bring back the previous tab layout with previews or at least give us the option. This has become unusable.

  99. Kim Walker-avatar

Oh my God, what have you done. The new update is terrible. My bookmarks are scrambled and cant sort, stored logins aren't working, etc., etc., etc.

  100. John Travell-avatar

Much as I have loved Firefox for many years, if I cannot get the old user interface back I might be forced into trying something else. This new version is awful.
