Nursing Guide For Laboratory Examinations covers in 128 files the most common laboratory examinations in hospitals. The exams are listed in alphabetical order. On each sheet: The objectives of the exam. Sampling techniques (choice of material, course of the examination, precautions to be taken). Usual reference values (so-called 'normal' values). Interpretation of results from the nurse's point of view, giving special attention to emergency situations and those where laboratory examination plays an important role in nursing diagnosis. The most recent techniques, in particular those of automated molecular biology (PCR, RT-PCR), are developed emphasizing their importance every day in nursing and medical practice. The considerably enriched index makes it possible to consult the work more quickly and more efficiently. A detachable flap provides a table of normal values for the main examinations.
