Description

From the listing uploaded by “catappult”.

The Sidur, or Sidur Tefilá or Seder Tefilá, which means the Order of Prayer. But we rarely hear the full name mentioned and we only use Sidur. Nor do we use Tefilá Seder, which we leave exclusively to refer to the Pesach Seder, that is, the Pesach Order that we used in the days of the great Feast of Pesach. Otherwise we have a Sidur to refer to the prayers we use in the Solemn Feasts, but we call it Mahzor, which would be translated, a Cycle, since the prayers that are said there are only said periodically or cyclically. The Sidur is a work that composes a vast range of the basic principles of the Jewish faith as well as a compilation of the great victories as the great defeats that Israel has had over the centuries; It also contains testimonies of the great aspirations and hopes of the Jewish people throughout the generations. In the same way he witnesses the ethical and moral aspirations of the Jew, without forgetting the memories of moments of joy, sadness and grief that have accompanied the entire people in all generations. The Sidur also provides an approach to the daily life of the Jew as well as the special occasions and festivals of the Jewish calendar. It contains biblical passages dating back more than 3,300 years; Prayers and prayers of our sages with more than 2,500 years. The Sidur emphasizes the responsibilities of man as well as his rights and naturally in Israel's relationship with God. For a person initiated in Judaism, Sidur seems like a text where only the individual ends up lost page after page without ever ending and looking at nothing more than repetitive words and sentences. Therefore, the importance of Jewish education. Once he slowly gets on track, the person finds his direction and his taste with every moment that Sidur gives the neophyte. On the other hand, we find the person who knows exactly which sentences to say at the time and where he finds them in the Sidur. The desire to learn and time are responsible for familiarizing the person with this beautiful instrument of guidance in the Jewish daily life. Therefore the importance of these classes. The Sidur varies according to the customs of the different regions and even to the printing houses. There is a very common Sidur that omits the order of overt prayers in the service of Shabbat and places, for example, the prayers on Israel in another place to which it normally corresponds since some Jews do not consider the establishment of the State of Israel as a design of God in this days. Needless to say, there are slightly marked differences between the Asquenazi Sidur and the Sephardic Sidur. In this app you will find the book "Sidur Bircat Shelomó" a prayer book according to the "Sephardic" rite. I hope it helps you a lot in your prayers.
