Description
Easy Leaf Area Free measures leaf area non destructively in seconds. Place a 4 cm^2 red piece of paper next to your leaf and take a picture. Make sure your leaf and scale are in the same plane and are parallel to your android device. Leaf area is calculated automatically from green leaf and red scale areas. Adjust the sliders to correctly identify green leaf and red scale areas.
Important Considerations
Easy Leaf Area Free measures projected leaf area. Camera angle, lens distortion, leaf angle, and leaf overlap can result in inaccurate leaf area measurement. You can use a 4 cm^2 green piece of paper to calibrate your camera set up. Non-green leaves or portions of leaf are not measured with Easy Leaf Area.
