It's pretty unfortunate this app doesn't notify you when there are earthquakes. Especially when you live in Alaska with earthquakes all the time and need the notifications to stay safe from aftershocks and tsunami's. If you want to know what's happening, you have to constantly be opening the app and checking... Which doesn't help during an emergency.

Nice app. I use it everyday. I would like to see some more stats like plots showing the frequency of quakes verses time (globally and regionally). Magnitude of quakes verses time (globally and regionally). Let the time be for months, 12, 24, 36 etc.

Been meaning to do this for awhile now. I guess I needed today's 6.2 earthquake on Hawaii Island! It's a good app tells you where it was, how deep it was, and you can look at the map and see exactly where it was.

I can't pinch the map down to get an over all picture of the Pacific Rim; which also makes it awkward for trying to scan around the globe for hot spots of increased activity.

GARBAGE! There is NO "ALERT". It used to alert me, which is an add-on I paid for. Now it does not alert at all whatsoever. It used to be great! Oh well. 🤷

It's a cool app I use for a long time. It's a shame that there's no alerts anymore but Twitter's @earthquakebot solved that for me

Hit and miss with notifications. Edit: It shows data only. Sadly this app is going downhill. Can't find another one that works the way this one did with the extra alerts app that's been busted for at least 2 years. If the developer is paying attention I'd gladly pay for those alerts. The came in very handy here in SoCal.

I will increase this to 5 stars if you change your description instead of telling people that it alerts you. The 'alerter app' does not exist: Earthquake Alerter Add-on View on Google Play (links to other apps) This Add-on app to Earthquake Alert! allows anyone to register for quake notifications. They can setup multiple filters specifying location and magnitude, while setting a custom ringtone or vibration. This app uses cloud device messaging from Google connected to a Google App Engine server. Today, it's sending over 100K notifications a day.
