Don't know if it's the app or dsm responsible, but for some time it's not been working properly. It plays for about 5 minutes, then payback freezes. If I go back to ds video, and try playing the video again, it says "connection expired". Tried setting connection timeout in DSM security settings to a longer interval as suggested on the forums, to no avail.

Ds video is good to access video stored in synology. But can i request to be able to see / sort the movies in "RANDOM" for all, by folder and just watched ? When you have many movies the 'all' basically useless as you will not scroll down from A or Z just to search what you want to watch.

Please add support for *.mka files next to a video file. I have an *.mkv video file but I can't play it with the audio for it (mka). And subtitles are not loaded either! (*.str) Once fixed, I will update my review.

Poor. Couldn't connect because had changed login on nas a while back. Error message said something about the network being busy which led me off looking in the wrong place for a solution...

Recent update makes app unusable. Filenames are only partly displayed or not at all in TV Shows category. PLEASE FIX THAT. Most likly the app tries to shorten file name by some algo. If so there should be an option to disable that and just show the plain filename.

The latest version 3.4.5 having issue cant see the highlight selection when select movie from the movie list. Version 3.4.3 have no such problem. APK was installed to android TV and using remote to control. Please fix it on next update.

The latest update has disabled the ability to use the up snd down navigation controls on my IR remote to scroll and select a movie to watch. I can now only use the mouse pointer emulator on the remote, to do this.

Doesn't seem to support downloading media on Android 12. It says it requires privileges at the root level, where Android 12 no longer allows such access.

The Android and Android TV app flat out don't work. "Unknown error". I'm streaming my media using a DS920+, latest os. Trying to stream to Galaxy Note 20 Ultra on Android 11 with April security and Shield TV version 8.2.2. Streaming works on my 2020 Samsung TV and via the web. Very disappointed. [UPDATE] My Shield TV seems to magically start working today. No upgrades. My phone, now updated to the latest May security update, still will not play movies.

This works quite well on our Chrome TV, Roku and Fire streaming devices. I collect old movies in the public domain and with their NAS and this App we're able to enjoy them on our TV anytime we want
