I expected better from Synology. Does no one test programs anymore? Login works. Viewing thumbnails sometimes works. Viewing jpegs sometimes works. A poor effort. If you want to backup your android phone photos, you must disable battery optimisation on your phone. Settings > apps > special access > optimise battery usage > all > disable DS File (swipe left) It would help if synology told you that

It works, but could be better. #1 issue I have ia that I am not able to set the SD card as my download location, so I am having to download to the internal storage and then move the files to the SD card in file manager ... This is absurd.

I don't trust this app. Never know how many files will actually be downloaded from a folder. If you try to redownload the folder it will download everything again as copies.

I knew I should have resisted the DSM7.0 update. DS file used to work great, now it will not connect. DS finder can access just fine but DS file to access actual files? The ENTIRE POINT OF A NAS? Nope, denied.

Use to work consistently, now not at all: "UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THE SERVER". Please fix or just give back the old version that did work.

Execelent NAS products, last century apps. People today use phone more than PC/Macs, but the e perience of these devices are under expectations, not only the UX but functionality as well. You will boost sales by at least 20% if you create similar drive/one apps.

Unfriendly app, uploading to NAs via this DS File app is always having stuck at "uploading" stage even for a 1Mb file/photo, no problem if I drag and drop from laptop via quickconnect.to. Uninstall and re-install several times problem still exist, backup photo from mobile also jammed at "uploading suspended" with no solutions to it.

Could never log in. I see the NAS, put the correct username and pass - no connection. Same from desktop computer works flawlessly

Ever since the upgrade to DSM 7 DS file is rendered useless with backup to DSM not working anymore. App says "upload suspended" with no option to resume

Edit: NOW it doesn't work with DSM 7 ffs 🤦🏾♂️ ---- UGH this app has gotten horrible. It use to work, but now i can't even download files. Task failed always. I'm also annoyed that i have to restart the 🤬 app everytime i view the task page. It's so bad that i have to use the File Station portal in the mobile browser to access my damn files. Synology please for the love of christ! Get some devs to write proper, modern looking Android apps that WORK! 😡
