I did this to my ftp server and my phone running this app and my other ftp server/client says broken pipe. It works. Now i just have to figure out how to get it to work from the other side of the router and i can use it to make my ftp servers immune to denial of service attacks

Still need a lot of work. It is buggy and there is no manual for use. And it crashes with high amount of anything. But is is good and with some of my friends we did manage to bring down our dormitory wifi limit.

THIS ISN'T REAL! DDos's require a botnet of computers with multiple IP addresses, big enough to take a site down, if you keep spamming a server with packets, eventually it will ignore the packets from your IP, this is why multiple computers on different networks are needed, and don't tell me it outsources the attack and let's you control a botnet, if it did, this would be taken down. Remember kids, DDoSing is illegal!

Its actually a dos tool (Denial of Service). Not a ddos tool (Distributed Denial of Service) as its advertised. You will not take any site down because if you flood the server with a lots of packets with random content the firewall will quickly deny all requests from your ip and its less likely that you have a larger than 10Gbps bandwith as most cloud servers are equiped with 10Gbps ports. Also Its an illegal activity and because its a dos tool you will be tracked back with your ip address being explosed to the victim.

Despite name of app is a little misleading, it does it's purpose great. It's nice to test how much carton-box server with Raspberry Pi can handle, if it'll work correctly on Wi-Fi.

Not DDoS, rather DoS (for DDoS you'd need a lot of computers), very unlikely to succeed because your device will never be able to generate enough packets to disrupt something Reply to reply: you should still change the name to DoS, also, an educational app should still function and imitate a real-world scenario

  7. John Doe-avatar

Misleading name, This is not to DDos, This is just simply a dos. If you even want to call it that. The chances of you actually interrupting something are very slim because it's only your device generating the packets.

Well I did download this then there is a loophole I found for some nasty stuff... the F Droid ...installed it and then looked up inside of parrotsec repositories... tons of fun stuff no root required!!!

While granted it might not be a true DDoS attacker... Its more than capable to disrupt Destiny and Destiny 2 servers because they're really weak to begin with... But i was able to use this as a functional lag switch nonetheless

As a computer security practitioner this isn't really a "DDoS" per se as it is not distributed (As in "Distributed Denial of Service") across more than a single sending. That is unless it is sending malformed packets or such?
