شرح الأربعون النووية
فيقول النووي رحمه الله, وقد رأيتُ جَمْعَ أربعينَ أهمَّ من هذا كلِّهِ، وهي أربعون حديثاً مشتملة على جميع ذلك ، وكلُّ حديث منها قاعِدةُ عظيمةُ من قواعد الدِّينِ، وقد وصَفَهُ العُلماءً بأنَّ مَدَارَ الإسلام عليه، أو نِصْفَ الإسلام، أو ثُلُثَهُ، أو نحو ذلك ثم أَلتَزمُ في هذه الأربعينَ أن تكونَ صحيحةً ومُعْظَمُها في صحيحي البُخارِيِّ ومُسْلم
Explanation of the forty nuclear
Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said, "I have seen the collection of forty of the most important of all this, which is forty Hadiths including all that, and every hadeeth is a great rule of the rules of religion. The scholars have described it as the orbit of Islam, half Islam, I commit in these forty to be true and most of them are in Bukhari and Muslim
