About this APK

Home Button is an app by DevJackey in the Tools category. It has no native code, so it runs on any Android processor.

Description

From the listing uploaded by “peppe3393”.

This app is used to simulate a press of the Home Button. It will do nothing else besides bring you back to your Home Launcher. This app has no user interface, so pressing it will immediately bring you to Home Screen. This is meant to be used for Samsung Galaxy Note devices for users to place on their SPen Window due to the difficulty in pressing the Home Button with the SPen. Edge devices are also able to place this in their App Panel to simulate a Home Screen press.

Home Button APK: questions and answers

Can I install this APK over the version I already have?

Only if it is signed with the same certificate as the copy on your phone and isn't an older version. If Android says “App not installed”, the certificates differ; uninstalling your copy first works but deletes its data unless it is backed up.

Is the Home Button APK safe?

No one can promise that a file is safe, but some things can be checked. The source store rates this file Trusted. After downloading, check that the file's MD5 is ed20614e25d7864d1684d70d3e617cda.
