سعادة الشيخ الدكتور القارئ عبد الهادي بن أحمد كناكري من قرية حلبون بريف دمشق يقيم الآن في المملكة العربية السعودية ويعمل في مدينة بقيق في المنطقة الشرقية كعضو هيئة تدريس في كلية الأمير سلطان العسكرية للعلوم الصحية في الظهران وقد كان الشيخ إماما لجامع أبوبكر الصديق في مدينة الظهران داخل مقر شركة أرامكو السعودية إلا أنه ترك إمامة الجامع حوالي عام 1430 وقام الشيخ بعد ذلك بإمامة بعض الجوامع في دول الخليج في رمضان في صلاة التراويح والقيام نشأ في بيت صالح وفي كنف والده الشيخ أحمد كناكري الذي كان يلقب الشافعي الصغير وكان ملازما لسماحة الشيخ أحمد كفتارو مفتي الجمهورية العربية السورية
الشيخ يعتبر من مبدعي القراء ومن الذين يطلق عليهم مزمار في عذوبة صوته ، تحس بأنه يأخذك بين سطور المصحف ويقرأك إياه كلمة كلمة وحرفاً حرفاً.
الشيخ من الدعاة الأجلاء كذلك وهو عالي الهمة والأخلاق والتواضع سمة دائمة فيه ، هذا مع علو درجته العلمية في القراءات بدرجة دكتوراه في علم القراءات من باكستان. كان يصلي أول الأمر في مسجد متواضع بسوق مدينة الخبر الشمالية بشارع الأمير طلال. وأثناء ذلك كان يدرس ويجتهد في علم القراءات ، ويسافر كل فترة للإمتحانات في باكستان حتى تحصل بحمد الله على درجة الدكتوراه.
