If you care about the majority of the features the 480i supposedly offers, don't buy it; they're totally dependent on this companion app! There are tons of false alerts and you have to learn how to distinguish real threats from fake alerts. Also turning off a lot of unnecessary features tends to help.

Take the time to properly set it up. Also, you can adjust the sensitivity in settings. When it comes to the radar informing you of potential police, most of these are from other users and therefore may no longer be there. In your phone settings you can set it up to either run in your background or not. If your Bluetooth is set up properly it will inform you through your car stereo about your speed and potential hazards. Overall there's a few things they need to fix but the app works great. 👍👍

What a waste. A map THat you can't use for voice navigation No ability to adjust setting on detector from app. Forced to run in background. App requires location services ALL THE TIME...WHY? Pretty useless.

Won't log in. Either says my credentials are wrong or no internet connection. I've reset the password several times and it logs in to the web browser fine. I had this app working fine a few weeks back, same phone, same unit. :/

I Just bought this device 2 days ago, I'd say it is accurate for the most part. Seems to be a significant amount of false alarms, I've noticed with this particular device. I receive alerts stating there are police on the road but I have not seen any at all. I believe it is a false alarm. There are other features that I do like which 1 alerts me to let me know if there is a camera on the highway or at a red light which is very helpful. I'm still new to this device so I'm still learning.

The app works well, but man the battery drain. It doesn't properly close when you close the app so it keeps the phone warm and drains the battery. I have to force close the app after every use. Sloppy programming.

Was leary at first from all the reviews. However, instead of rushing through and getting it in the window, I took my time. Yes registering is a bit of a pain, however if done correctly, you will be directed back to the app, then re-log in. This is NOT a navigation app. It is to run in the background and feed info (bluetooth) to the Detector to give awareness. Users these days just haven't any sense, and most shouldnt be having one of these as they don't need to be speeding.

Garbage can't register. When you register it prompts you to create a password then tells you your password is invalid. So, I checked my email. It tells me to click a link to verify my email, then it says error, expired token. I'm caught in a loop of stupid created by the garbage software developers. The world is getting dumber and dumber and we accept it.
