A decent rendition, but the levels are suppose to roll into the next one. The scorpion or what ever this version poisons the centipedes with, does a ridiculous long line of poisoned mushrooms, but they keep disappearing by next round automatically.

I love most of the games in the series (especially Phoenix). Centipede is one of my all-time favorite Arcade Game, so I jumped on this immediately. This version is very smooth, though a bit different than the original arcade game. Scorpions normally poison mushrooms, but in this version they just leave a trail of more mushrooms. One of the key elements of a centipede is when they touch a poison mushroom and kamikaze down to the bottom of the screen. The game is still quite fun though I Wish two issues were addressed: One being the sound. It’s awful and not even close to being sound from the arcade, and the other problem is there for directional arrow. Centipede Uses a trackball in the original arcade game, so the developer should have had a round disc controller instead of four directions, to at least simulate the trackball. NO!! That is NOT right! One of the things that made Centipede great in the arcade was the track ball control. On a modern smart phone, you think they'd go with some sort of finger drag control. But you'd be wrong. There are 4 virtual buttons on the screen to control movement and use up screen space. On top of that, the graphics are actually WORSE than the 80's era arcade game.

The "Music" on Zappers Sucks!!! (Don't allow things to change your phone or give permissions if you aren't playing online.) THIS 1 MIGHT BE OKAY ON A DESKTOP, NOT ON A PHONE! You can play this without usage data on, but it connects to your google account and a third party. That in itself isn't worth it! AGAIN THE DIRECTIONAL BUTTONS IS NOT SMOOTH AND SHOOTER IS SEPART FROM "JOYSTICK", WHICH ENDS UP GETTING YOU KILLED. We need one finger operation with the speed of shooter not slowing down!!!

Sorry, graphically, in 2020 it's below the 1980 arcade standard.....looks more like a Atari 2600 version. And the controls?.....really clunky and bad.....you just can't react fast enough....someone suggested a swipe control....I agree it would feel more natural, but anytime i play a game where if you're parked on the bottom of the screen, a finger swipe method would probably activate the back out button on your device. Then there's ads of course. I know you need them.. but not every round.

It was cool for 2 mins. I got to level 2 and app went blank?! I could get past the retro 80s graphics but the screen was blank, music playing and when asked to exit I said yes and it STILL did nothing. So it was uninstalled...what a disappointment! I mean I just got a brand new LGV60 5g and was looking for new games. This obviously wont be one! 😪

There use to be a version of this app that would let you rotate your phone and play. That felt more natural to me, and honestly I would definitely pay for a version like that. This version is a good alternative but I would love if it was more like the original game.

The controls are not bad compared to the arcade game but there is at least one very serious bug. I was on level 4 and the screen flashed, then went to a white screen and then I find myself on level 1 again.

I enjoyed the 1st game I played. As soon as I pressed the next button an add popped up. I thought that it would be random pop ups but nooooo. There was an add pratically after each game. Too many ads!!
