If you are registered in Cl@ve, you can activate this device with your DNI/NIE by means of an SMS or with your electronic certificate. Once activated, from this APP you can confirm the authentication requests with Cl@ve Móvil and access the Cl@ve PIN that you request when accessing a procedure. It also allows access to the procedures of the Cl@ve system. I have NIE and connecting worked. How? At first, I got the same error as the others mentioned because I didn't read all the instructions they provide. If you have NIE, you need to start the support number with C and the number on the back of the NIE IF the number has 8 numbers. IF the number has less than 8, then you need to add as many zeros as necessary after the first C to make up 8 numbers. Example: IF support number on the NIE is 12345678, then you need to introduce C12345678. IF support number on the NIE is 1234567, then you need to introduce C01234567. Suggestion for the developers/designers of the app: add this instruction in a more obvious and clearer way... I tried 3-4 times looking at the instructions until I decided to read everything in the instructions. The steps should be in your face and easy to find/follow. The website has the same problem when introducing the support number, the instructions are way to much in the right side of the screen and if you have a small window, you don't even see them, you only see the number on the NIE highlighted and that's what you put in the box and then you have the error...

I registered for cl@ve using my green paper certificate on a computer first. That way using C and the padding worked. Then when I opened this app and entered my NIE it all worked fine. I didn't try to register through the app so I don't know if they just fixed it or not. Just commenting so other expats know it's an option.

I only needed the app for govt and tax purposes. It doesn't function since the last update... It doesn't work well using NIE. It always display ERROR try again later. Im so disappointed.

Same experience as other people already commented. It doesn't work for anyone that has a NIE. The app doesn't allow to initialize because an error occurs validating the support number.

I also had the same problem with the error message, but I found a solution! I tried to access the seu electronica ajuntament Barcelona online to get my empadronamiento using my laptop and the chrome browser, and had my phone with the app cl@ve to get the pin. I registered fine on the app, so I was able to get my pin. I entered the pin on my chrome browser on my laptop and it gave a error. So I tried with the Firefox browser on my laptop to do the same, and it worked!! No error message!

Now when its time for some tax changes, there is an app update and its simply not working, not recognizing NIE, soporte...it is a night mare ! People are nor receiving answers on their email...what is the solution then, to go to queue to tax bureau ??
