The Citizen Security Law requires owners of tourist accommodation to send information about their guests to the competent authorities within 24 hours of their arrival. This information can be presented in person or online, through the web portal assigned to each of the security forces operating in Spain. The security force to which you must send this information will depend on the town where your accommodation is located. In most cities, it will be the National Police, while in municipalities that do not have National Police stations, it will be the Civil Guard. For its part, in Catalonia the people in charge are the Mossos d'Esquadra and in the Basque Country La Ertzaintza. La Ley de Seguridad Ciudadana exige a los propietarios de alojamientos turísticos que envíen información sobre sus huéspedes a las autoridades competentes durante las 24h siguientes a su llegada. Esta información puede presentarse de forma presencial o telemática, a través del portal web asignado a cada una de las fuerzas de seguridad que operan en España.
La fuerza de seguridad a la que debes enviarle dicha información dependerá de la localidad donde se ubique tu alojamiento. En la mayoría de ciudades será La Policía Nacional mientras que en municipios que no cuenten con comisarías de Policía Nacional, será La Guardia Civil. Por su parte, en Cataluña los encargados son Los Mossos d'Esquadra y en El País Vasco La Ertzaintza.
