Description
Chakhul Garhwali Dictionary application is an initiative to preserve and promote Garhwali language of Indian Himalaya state Uttarakhand which is designated as a vulnerable language by UNESCO's Atlas of the World's Languages in Danger.
Chakhul is an offline Garhwali dictionary that uses Devnagari language inputs through keyboard and voice recognition. The interface is simple and user-friendly which helps to learn Garhwali easily.
The dictionary provides bilingual search - Garhwali to Hindi and Hindi to Garhwali. Moreover, the application is equipped with the information about Garhwali culture, traditions and heritage. It let the users to know more about Garhwal in different aspects such as Personalities, Folk, Food, Music etc and various facts too.
Chakhul app would be helpful to explore about Garhwal and Garhwali language and thus helping users to associate with the language and culture.
