Been using this app to watch TLS for over a year, no problems. Recently started crashing my phone after commercials. If I forward to where it left off, watch all the commercials again, will crash again. Sometimes it will make it all the way through a show after several attempts. Not having any issues with my phone other than this app, which had been fine the entire past year and is only now having these issues. I had planned on getting a paid plan next month but unlikely if these bugs continue.

Keeps cutting out. Not impressed. 98% of the time the screen was green except when the commercials came on. CBS and all the rest of the big companies make plenty of money. Not sure why there's even commercials when streaming. Plus you should be able to fast forward through the commercials that's why don't watch TV! This app fails on many levels.

I tried to give you guys a try again. I gave you the benefit of the doubt that surely by now you would have the app working but no. It plays the episode for no more than a minute then starts buffering and says that it cant find an internet connection. I dont have any issues streaming Hulu or Netflix or any other streaming service on my phone except for this one.

They have updated this app 2x in the past month. Still does not work on my Android 5.0 tablet. Tech support has me trying all sorts of things that do not work. So I have given up and am using my Win 7 PC and chrome browser to stream to my tv. Yes CBS I know that only the 5 latest shows are available to non subs. Those are the programs that I am trying to view. Suggestion: Update your app with the old one, fix your bugs and THEN push your new WORKING app on the world.

Payed my first month. Watched a few movies. Now everytime I want to watch a movie or something it gives me a black screen. I uninstalled and redownload it and it doesn't work. They need to fix this. I ask for support but they dont reply. Update - They finally fix my issue quicky. Very good customer service. Change it to 5 star.

Ok i love the app. I am actually giving 4 and half stars. When streaming it buffers alot. Doesn't matter if I'm on high speed internet cable , data usage or CenturyLink dsl or what ever they call it now. It's is highly annoying. So I have to wait for some shows to be posted after they play and that can take up to 2 days with some. I don't know why it takes so long. Also I would really like to see hot bench listed like 50 or all rise to be watched after it's been Aired. Please fix it.

I want to watch a couple of shows I like, but an Ad keeps causing the APP to hang. I get one of several errors: - app needs Internet connection (on WiFi or 4G, so, huh?) - Ad error (keeps replaying same Ad, then hangs) - Android message. App has stopped, shut down, wait, report. Have tried clear cache/force stop APP, same result. Seems to be since 10/11/19 update or maybe just Ad error.

I agree with the girl about the commercials stream and then when you watching the show it keeps buffering and like every 3 or 4 minutes I tried it on my phone I tried it on my roku and it doesn't work I even tried it on my playstation vue on my dvr and it still doesn't work buffering, buffering , buffering! My other apps work fine and I can watch the whole program it's only CBS you need to get your act together or I'm gonna cancel What's the sense in paying for it if it doesn't work! #fedup

I can see this app is still terrible. Had it over a year ago, got so frustrated I cancelled. Trying it again now, and although the past problems are solved, now there are more. The buffering and lagging is constant, even though I never have that problem with other streaming services. Why do you suck so bad CBS?

i have to pay for an app for a channel i already pay for with cable, then it CRASHES during the LIVE survivor finale!?!?!? 10/19 update: not changing my one star. Still have to pay to use the app, and i can't get back a live show that crashed. Stop making people pay for a channel they're already paying for with cable, then I'll change my rating.

THANK YOU CBS for fixing the app so it works on our devices again!! It works great on my tablets and has absolutely no malfunctions while ruining on my new Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G phones. And when I'm connected on the 5G network, it's live TV is flawless, especially on 5G UWB from Verizon. So again, thank you.

Not sure why all the negative reviews. I am on a ad free trial and will definitely be keeping it to watch all my shows from the beginning. I have had no issues whatsoever with playback. I can pause and back out and come back and finish my show. There is no issues with buffering or freezing. In fact the android app works just as good as the CBS app I have in Apple TV. I am using it on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5E. The live channel works very well too.

This app was great at first for season 1 and 2 Young Sheldon, but when Season 3 of Young Sheldon began, the episodes would not properly load up and I am deeply disappointed. I want to watch your show, but I cannot do so if your app videos are not compatible with Motorola Droid.

I love the app i can watch my favorite shows on this APP but , it is frustrating that it keeps spinning or freezing while watching a program . I don't mind the commercials. It just needs more fixing when loading the shows . Otherwise I am happy customer L.A.

Positive: I like that I can download shows and watch later. Very convenient. Negative: I wish I could customize the shows I watch. If I check out a new show and don't like it, it stays on my list with no way to remove it.

I dont know why there isnt an option to pause/restart in the notification window without having to go into the app. Only video app that doesnt have this. Edit: hit the rewind 30sec button and the app crashed, had to reload 3 times before it would load again.

SUCKS!! I pay $10 a month to have no/limited ads. Videos are constantly freezing and you have to close it out and reopen. What sucks is this is the only avenue to watch CBS shows. Will set their shows to record on DVR and cancel this!

Love this app! We use to have cable but the prices were too high so we switched to just hulu and netflix. I wasnt happy I was giving up survivor. But a friend told me she watches survivor every week with this app so now I do too.

good access but it could be easier to watch the shows that no longer air on the network. I'm on a limited budget when it comes to money as disability money don't go far enough. some months I don't have money to make sure I can pay for the all access. Please think about those on limited income. Otherwise I love the app.

This app is full of glitches. It's always buffering. Every single time I try to log in it always tells me that I need to pay to watch when I'm logged in even though I'm already a paying customer. This app is straight trash.

I love, love, love this app & streaming service. I enjoy CBS's great Classics (e.g. Perry Mason, Nash Bridges, I Love Lucy, etc.) + their current series (Bull, SWAT Team, FBI, etc,). Their outstanding Original Series: The Good Fight is television at its best!

Whatever issues were causing me to have error loading messages in the past seem to be fixed. Now I'm always able to get on and watch the shows without any problems.

Worst App. Support can bot wven figure out the issue and just tell me touse Wi fi to watch app, but that doesn't even work. They just act like there is no real issue and wont help to find out problem once it gets hard!

I love CBS and shows. I don't like the app because it does connect without cable or streaming platforms. It should allow people to use phones or computer devices to view on smart Televisions without purchasing equipment to allow this

Sometimes a bit slow to load. Love being able to catch up what I missed. Wish MOM and Ncis, Los Angeles had all seasons not just the current one. I am glad I have it.

New update has multiple flaws. Show dialogue goes silent a few seconds before the break to commercial and breaks are poorly placed. I've given up watching through the app.

Its fine for now. Buffers a lot in certain areas. Freezes up more than I would prefer. Restarts commercials when u try to fast forward to get back to place you ended.

I barely had this app just 1 month. Prior to attempting to sign up for a monthly prescription it did not accept my payment. Thus, I signed up online and after that point the app worked fine. The kicker is that I was charged twice for my first months billing cycle. Once by CBS online and again by the google app... Please tell me how that can be, if I received an error message by the app??? Do you mean to tell me that CBS online and CBS google app do not work in tandem??? Sounds fishy to me...

Great content. Incompatible with Chromecast, even with both app and Chromecast updated. Which means this deserves less than 1 star in my opinion and is a waste of subscription money.

New update seems to have a glitch. As commercials end, my phone restarts. Several times from 2 different shows. Not sure I can watch anything😕

Program accessibility is very good. Some buffering issues. That could be attributed to the frontier system.

This app is extremely unreliable. When playing commercials it lags really bad and after watching for an hour or so it will show video but no sound.

The only issue I have is on my computer the video won't play the commercials and doesn't resume, but on my phone it works perfectly

App is currently unusable. Although I created an account and linked my account to my Verizon FiOS account, I still can not watch live TV through the app. I receive a message saying "We are currently experiencing some technical difficulties. Please check again later." This has been happening across three different Android devices. I emailed technical support, and outside of a standard acknowledgement, have received no further guidance.

This app needs serious improvement. During almost every single episode, the app kicks me back to the beginning of the episode after one of the commercial breaks. Or, sometimes the app just closes down in the middle of an episode. It's really frustrating because you can't go back to a resume point, you have to watch all the ads again to find your spot and it can often take 5 to 10 minutes to get there. Definitely not one of the better streaming apps.

I was going along watching CBS full access (since WAY more than 1/2 of my shows are on CBS. All of a sudden I get "this app (I use a Samsung S8 plus) is no longet supported by your device. Please upgrade your OS". To which I did...5 times. NO change in CBS. So as much as it hurts, I am boycotting CBS in any fashion, I wont even watch it on TV. Doesnt CBS know they are going to loose loyal viewers because of greediness? I really wish they would pull their heads out of their hiney's!

A TV app should not cost. It's bad enough we have to watch all the ads. If this app were free, it would be one heck of an app.

Can't handle traffic of viewers. When a football game is on and I want to watch a regular TV show, the buffering is so slow that it starts and stops on every 3 words!! They need to improve that!!

The app is mostly easy to use. The search feature allows you to narrow down the list easily too. The disappointing thing about this app is the closed caption feature for the mobile app and the rewind / fast forward for the TV app. Neither one work as well as Netflix. The TV app is hit or miss when you are trying to get to any scene besides the opening one. The TV app also crashes and lags terribly. The mobile app is better but closed captions do not work like they should.

Terrible app. God forbid you should get interrupted while viewing. If you pause the show, it will take you back to the very beginning and there is no way to fadt forward. Every time I try to FF to where I left off, it take me back to the beginning of the show & I watch the same GD commercial in hopes of being able to skip ahead afterward - but NO! back to the beginning I go. Solution to problem - don't waste your time on CBS.

I pay 9.99 a month and should be able to use the download feature. It states that you can download up to 25 episodes. I have only be able to download 2 at time but now I can't download any. It says that I reached my download limit. I don't have anything downloaded on any other devices. I only use my Galaxy Note 10+. I have called and talked to a representative but nothing has changed. I enjoy the app but if nothing changes I will have to cancel since I cannot get what I pay for.

Love that I get watch all of my favorite shows. Also getting to watch some of new shows. CBS is the best network. Plus no commercials

Been using this app for years, but just recently it has become impossible to deal with. I love my soaps and this is the only way to watch... however, it no longer keeps my place no matter how briefly I am off the screen. Not to mention, almost every time I get half or 3/4 thru, it starts over and I have to watch 20 mins of commercials to get back to where I was. It is INSANELY frustrating!!!

Love the app only problem is that it will not let me log into fb as my log in and save where i stopped and starts over before the first commercial.

The app keeps freezing up. I have several interruptions every time I stream. I only subscribed because of The twilight zone series.

I love CBS App! Lots of my old and most recent shows to choose from. I can watch them over and over! Great movies, old and new to watch. CBS is my local channel 8 where I live. If you don't want to miss a program, can download the CBS App from the Playstore to your Android phone like I did. I take it on the go. Great for when I'm waiting in line for appointments. ☺

The app works fine. I just think it's ridiculous to have to pay to watch a show because my dvr missed recording part of a show because football ran late. I can understand charging for your programming that you create for this venue, but if it's being broadcast, there should be some amount of time that you can watch it for free on the app.

Mine was just fine until I did the update! Now I'm mad! Can't see my shows because of this darn green screen! Thats all you can see! Bright neon green!!! Ugh!!! What did you all do to this app???!! Good lord. I haven't seen a streaming program this terrible. 1st, we had to upgrade to ad free because the commercials kept crashing both our roku tv and phones. 2nd, now the app no longer works on our phone or tv, and is super glitchy like 70% of the time. I honestly might try to get my money back for the one month we have used so far. The only reason we even have all access is for star trek discovery and eventually Picard. Idk if even those are worth putting up with anymore.

*** Update: Downloads still don't work. I am using the latest version of the app, and I am still having the same results. CBS team - I do not want to call your support line. I want the features that I am paying for. Do you even test your app? *** Downoads amost never work. I often get an error message that says: "The CBS app requires an internet connection" even when I have a high speed internet connection. Why would you need internet to play downloads?

I'm tired of this app. I gave it another shot thinking an update might fix it but NO, it keeps doing the same thing. You can be halfway into the episode and when the ads end it sent you back to the beginning of it and the worst part is that you can't fast-forward without having to watch all the ads again! It's like they're FORCING you to watch Keeps crashing continuously. Also stops right before the last ad and sends you back so just you have watch all the ads all over again, its very annoying.

This app is ok, but is quickly losing stars. This app is down to it's last star for me. I just went to watch season 10 finale before watch NCIS LA season 11 premiere. Guess what! None of the previous seasons are there. And what reasoning is behind this. You guys as a whole, are really starting to suck. I will update as things improve

If I could, I would give a -5 Stars!! This App keeps getting worse and worse. There was a time when I watched only CBS shows. Each time a newer version of this App comes out, it gives me more time and incentive to search for other shows on other networks. Only got this and paid for all access to watch criminal minds which CBS advertised as having season 13 and 14. It has neither. All the videos on the criminal minds page are clips and extras. Completely ridiculous and false advertising. Seeing as how they didn't put it on Netflix to promote their own service it's pretty stupid to not even have it on their service. CBS is doing this whole streaming thing all wrong. Completely disappointed do not recommend in the slightest

I was going to pay for the app monthly but I have to start it from the beginning every single time I leave. It won't stop where it's supposed to I always end up having to take off the words from the screen. But I'm homeless and I need this channel and I need another Channel and I need Netflix. So I have no choice in the matter that is my answer. I've already commented and asked you people to fix it twice and you're saying it's my tablet it's my this it's my that. I would love to give more stars except for instead of you just keep charging me monthly you want to make me renew my subscription over completely!!! Why? Ads!!! They buffer slowly and make for a frustrating and annoying experience. When content returns after ad it is usually a green screen for 10 seconds or so. A serious pain in the ass. I'm only here for Star Trek and will dump this not-ready-for-prime-time app after that.

I'm not sure what happened but since the last update nothing will stream. I get to the show,ANY show,hit play and 10 seconds or less into the stream the buffer starts. I've had the app a long time with zero problems, phone and internet have been the same and now all the sudden I'm paying for something i can't use. I don't want to have to call customer service.

This app is terrible! Half the time u have to launch it twice before it opens. Then once it FINALLY opens, the screen goes dark and it closes again. On a good day the shows buffer and skip. I called CBS to complain and they told me it was my internet connection, but I don't have this issue with any other apps.

No longer supported?! I go to open the app to watch the morning news and it says my device is no longer supported. This is NOT a device with an outdated OS. The FAQ page is a broken link. Can't uninstall/reinstall because they will cancel my subscription. Once already sent an email to app support, let's see if they ever get back to me. ***EDIT:I don't need the 888 number since that is for my All Access account and this screw-up is the application itself.

Complete JUNK! Buffers constantly, crashes often, cannot resume from where it crashed forcing you to watch commercials over and over. Takes an hour and a half to watch an hour long episode due to all the issues. And you can't fast forward to where it crashed because the time tracking bar doesn't update so you don't know where you are in the program. Just not worth the aggravation and headaches. Update 10/11/19 - Now it plays commercials perfectly... but the programs are just audio only... no video at all. Tried on 6 different programs then just gave up.

New issue! (Big surprise) Now it plays fine, then goes go a commercial (different timestamps each time) then it restarts from the beginning though the time stamp is where it left off. I have closed and reopened, uninstalled and reinstalled. Again. I have no idea why yours is the ONLY app I have problems with, (and they seem to be never-ending) but I wish your programmers/developers would get their act together. It's extremely frustrating. This is why I stopped paying for all-access.

Update: I removed the app on my Samsung as I signed up under wrong email address thinking I would add it back and sign up under the right one and it won't load, keeps saying its downloading but has been doing it for 24 hrs now. I've tried cancelling and restarting it over and over! Help please! Love this app. Can watch my stories and all other CBS shows when it's convenient for me. Plus a few other shows I love such as I Love Lucy!

This app is by far the worst app I have ever used for watching television. Pause it for more than a split second? Forget it. Instant ads and restarting the episode. Want to fast forward back to where you were, but it is passed a commercial? Another set of commercials, guaranteed. Closed the app with a show paused between commercials? Instant commercials before you can go back to watching. Watched the commercials and got back into the episode, but you paused 30 seconds before another commercial? Have fun with 30 seconds of show sandwiched with six or so minutes combined of commercials. Commercials, commercials, and more commercials. It is ridiculous, and needs to be fixed.

It's a good app for shows, but free shows are very limited. CBS wants you to pay a subscription fee for access to almost everything, along with watching the commercials. New episodes (of most shows) are either only available free for a week or two, or not free at all. 😨😫 If you want to pay the access fee, its a good app.

Got this to watch football. Resolution fluctuates from low to high constantly. This is ridiculous for 2019. Unfortunately my TV is in the basement and can't get CBS via antenna. I don't have any resolution issues with any other streaming app that I use. Only problems with CBS streaming app. Maybe in another 50 years CBS will figure out how to do what every other network is able to do.

Galaxy S10+ stopped working 9/28/19. It's been working fine for 6 months now its not. I tried to update and it still would not complete the update. Developers need to work with galaxy and make sure updates are compatible or maybe its its ATT. OK IT'S MY FAULT. I went overseas for 2 months and changed my settings to only allow updates over Wifi. As soon as I changed it to use any network the update completed and is working fine. Thanks for the assistance CBS

I'm having problems in the app. It keeps telling me that I need to subscribe but I am already subscribed a very long time ago. I would appreciate this if somebody would fix it as soon as possible so that I can watch my shows. Other than that the app works great I have no problems with it I will rewrite it once it is fixed thank you

Not at ALL what they advertise!! Not helpful when you call support. I've been seeing commercials on TV, on Facebook, on my Roku all stating: Get CBS All Access and enjoy all your favorite shows like The Big Bang Theory, Star Trek Discovery, and NCIS. Now I'm being told Big Bang Theory was taken down until the new season premier. There's no new seasons. I feel like this is false advertisement, a bait & switch. I'm going back to my other streaming services which is free with my cable. Waste of $!

I like this app and it's a lot better than it used to be. The only reason I won't give it 5 stars is because of 3 things... 1) I'd like to be able to create separate profiles for one paid account. 2) I wish I could have my favorites instead of shows watched that way I control what's there. Because my sister watched a few things and now they're there and I can't make them go away. Or at least make the watched shows customizable. 3) bring back Big Bang so I can watch it from the beginning.

The new layout of the app is great! However, I'm just about to throw up from the picture ("TV screen") switching back and forth from full to small, depending on the position of the phone!! PLEASE change it back like it was so you can lock it in on one format or the other. Thank you!

As I am watching each episode, about half way thru, when it goes to the commercial break, it goes back to the beginning of the episode! This has bern going on for about a week on mine and my friend's phone. It is VERY frustrating because then you have to try to figure out where you were in the episode and try to line it up to that spot so you end up sitting thru one or two (or more) commercial breaks so you can you eventually get back to where you were.

Much better than a couple years ago. The glitches, double (triple sometimes) replays of commercials and freezing is significantly less frequent. The pricing without commercials is a little high IMO for the amount of content to explore but 6 bucks with commercials is doable. Its not the best app but is trending in the right direction. Watching The Price Is Right on lunch at work is a fun add on also. No profiles however. Definitely needs profiles option to compete

The only reason I'm not giving a better rating is that when watching a program in landscape mode if you accidentally move the phone too far one way or the other it goes back to picture mode. Very annoying! Every other tv app I have doesn't do this. Infact most make you watch in landscape. Help!

Great for the price but needs more exclusive content added on a more routine basis.

I've used all the major networks apps for a few years now and CBS has undoubtedly the worst video player app. It does not have resume options and forces you to start the video over trying to get back to where you left off. You would think CBS being a major television network they would have a competitive app. Update: CBS states to contact them. Sorry, that will not help your app. Update 2: Just downloaded the recent version and still no resume video available. Worst network TV app out there.

Video (Star Trek Voyager) keeps pausing then I get message saying I need internet connection. Doesn't do it with other videos (Youg Sheldon, for example) nor do I have problems with other streaming services. Also, paucity of choice; just isn't that great of a selection and if you don't opt for the premium plan you'll enjoy a maddening amt of comercials Am dropping subscription.

I enjoy CBS TV shows. However the video player in this app is miserable. Why can you not get it to remember my position is the show. If for some reason the app closes or I leave the episode I cannot go back to the spot I was at I have to start all over from the beginning. If even second rate TV channel like the CW to get it right why can't you?

Whether the app functions or not the content is not worth the time it takes to install and uninstall. Go out and buy something nice for yourself. To the developer: it's not you, it's them. The functionality and user interface have come a long way. Frankly, the content is so weak subscribers should get paid per view.

This app is so frustrating. You'll be in the middle of watching a show, an ad will come on and then after the ad it will send you back to the beginning. And you can't get back to the middle of the show without watching all the ads again. I wish they would keep track of what you've already watched like the nbc app does so that if you have to stop partway through a show you can pick up right where you left off.

It's great for watching new episodes. But you should be able to watch whole older seasons.

Horrible app. Making people pay for what is free. Why cant CBS be like all the rest. Or are they greedy and only want to line their pockets more.

Ever since the update, I can't get through a single episode of anything without it skipping throughout the whole thing. I just gave up on finishing an episode that I'm really into but can't sit through all the damn skipping! Horrible and I pay for the services! Should be much better!

This app is completely broken. It was working but today it would not start unless I updated to the new version. After updating it tells me that it won't run unless I update to a newer version of Android. I am already running the latest version of Android (7.1.1) that is available for my phone, a Nexus 6. So, I have no choice but to cancel my subscription.

I really hate having to uninstall the app everytime or every other time that I want to download a batch of videos. Then I have to remember to reset to lower definition. If I don't do that I spend 30 minutes downloading and can only fit 4 tv shows on my limited memory. I haven't had to reinstall the app for almost a week. If it keeps working I may add another star.

So much for there 30 day trial, I was immediately charged the day I opened the app to check out it's functions, bothered by this there is NO Way to cancel my now subscription after only days. It only states to contact the platform you signed up through, so Google store will uninstall it but CBS will still be taking a monthly charge from my bank acct. As they did for the few days I looked at it during my FREE trial. Don't download unless you have hours of free time you want to waste away...

Easy to use and great quality from phone and computer at home. Love that i can watch live tv as well

well I thought things were fixed, but all of a sudden it's back to changing to Spanish in middles of an episode. it's done it twice in two episodes so far. I only went back a few episodes in the Bold and the Beautiful. but again it's being weird. I've decided to re-install and see what happens. can't get any crazier. 9/2 app isn't working at all. I can run prime video just fine so I know it's not my network. it just says error.

They make it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel your subscription. I've gone on google play and it tells me that the subscription is not available, so I've gone directly to the app and it will not process my cancellation. This is absolutely unacceptable!! Due to the fact that you make it almost impossible to contact you about this discreetly, I have no issue complaining publicly!!!!

App freezes at least once per show making it hard to use. I pay for CBS and honestly expect more than what amounts to a bad beta. CBS support is a joke, taking at least a week, and then all I got was a form (asking for information I'd already given them) email and further ignored. I think Google should remove the app until CBS gets it act together.

The latest update cuts out after 5 minutes of watching...then the show starts back at the beginning...if I pause the show goes back to the is wasting so much time every time I move to the approximate place I was at...I have to watch 2.5 minutes of commercials. Please retract this update or fix the bugs

This rating will change as soon as you explain something to me, to my satisfaction: I have been binge-watching THE GOOD WIFE, one of the best TV dramas of all time, and I finally reached the end of Season 7--only to find that the series finale (entitled "End") is no longer there. It's missing! What gives? What kind of a stunt is that to pull on a paying subscriber and HUGE fan of THE GOOD WIFE? How can I go on & watch THE GOOD FIGHT now, not knowing how TGW ends??? Please fix this!!!

It is by far the worst streaming app. And this is supposed to be one of the major TV stations. If it was not because of SEC games, I would never watch CBS again. I cringe every time I hear a CBS commercial even for programming I used to enjoy because this app has soured me on them to them point of no return. A highschool AV club with a tenth of the budget could run a streaming services better than this. UPDATE!! CBS responded to my review with a heart felt and sincere response. A ROBO response.

Local or regional NFL games is a lie... I live in Central Florida and am 75 miles outside of Miami I should get either dolphins or at the least jags games.... Except for week 1 I get LA, GB, SEA, ECT. last time I checked not local or regional... CBS you suck! Wish I could give zero stars.

The app doesn't work at all. I try to log on and all I get is a message that say that CBS has stopped working.

I have been having issues with this app since the 7th. Uninstalled and reinstalled over 5 times now. I even sent in feed back. Issue is not fixed. The show freezes up, then goes black, then exits the app on its own. Up until the 8/7/2019, I never had issues with this app. I have to laugh because i just read all the comments. Mine didn't change to Spanish, it changed to caption. I think your last update you sent out on the 2nd caused the issues. I didn't update the app until the 6th.
