The Buienradar B.V. Android Telephone and tablet app helps you to better plan your activities based on actual weather and traffic information. You can customize the app to your own preferences by adding specific modules to your start carrousel. Now you will have your preferred weather information available within a couple of swipes.

The central focus of the app still is the Buienradar with a rain bar showing the rain of the coming 2 hours at your location.

In the menu you will find a range of more rain radar forecast, local weather forecast, weather video's, social functions and weather alerts.

With Buienradar Plus the the app will no longer contain advertisements and have additional functionalities like regenverwachting +3uur en +24 uur, onweer, unlimited weer-alerts, zonverwachting and more

Please note: When you agree to participate in the new traffic service test the app will use GPS on the background of the application. This might shorten the life expectancy of your battery. The test will use background logging to provide actual traffic speeds in the Netherlands.

In the new app we ask for the following permissions:

- Read phone state

This permission is not activated unless you accept to cooperate for the test for the new traffic service. Also the data will be sent totally anonymous

- Your location:

To be able to give the most exact rain prediction available (accurate by 1kmxkm)

- Telephone:

With this we read the ID of your phone for statistics, alerts and ads.

- Network communications:

To see if you are on wifi/3G to see if we can send data and optimize performance

- System help

With this we prevent that the phone goes to sleep while using the app

- Storage

We store used maps for faster usage and less data traffic

- Your accounts

When uploading your picture we read your email address to upload it to Buienradar
