Reviews From google play store

Works well when it works. But it disconnects itself when playing certain songs. The songs will still play fine on the phone. the headphone resets the connection itself but won't play any music. The app also does not offer an easy way for bug reporting. Good product but need work on the app. The other annoying thing is that once you set up bluetooth, headphone won't work on wired connection unless you first connect to bluetooth device.

DO NOT UPDATE TO THE LATEST SOFTWARE IF USING QC35II. The noise cancelation after the update plummeted, there is now absolutely no difference between low and high setting and you hear everything nearby. On top of that, the company took out the option to downgrade the software. There was a workaround before but apparently they took away that option as well. It's a shame because they worked well before but now it's just a normal pair of over priced headphones.

So many Bluetooth devices have flaky connections and require screwing around to get working. Bose connect with my micro speaker has a rock solid connection. The ability of the app to show battery life and initial setup are really the main uses, but updating firmware and how it shows what song is playing are nifty extras. Unfortunately the one time I tried using the app for a dual speaker setup it said 30% battery was too low. Not a big deal though.

Great app and speaker. I have no regrets. I do wish there were a few more controls. Often when using it as speakerphone my customers report that I am breaking up. I think in many cases it is the other person's issue as I can hear myself echoing. That leads me to think their duplexor is trying to compensate for high volume. Being able to adjust the mic down just a bit might help the situation. I have asked on occasion for them to turn their volume down a bit and that often helps.

The product itself is wonderful, I just recommend that there's some refinement on the app to help it work more seamlessly with bluetooth so you don't have to keep reconnecting to the app to get the full benefit of what you're using. Clean and easy to use setup though when its connected.

In my opinion, Bose has the best sound quality out of every pair of headphones I've ever tried. I really recommend any of their products. I own the Bose sound soundsport wireless headphones. Connected to the app. They really are worth every penny. And the app keeps them up to date, helps you find them if you misplace them and helps you get the best sound for you! I just wish it had better connectivity! Meaning the updates can take a while. Other than that they are really good.

I like the noise cancelation (I have QC35 I) Although I want to recommend more settings. Ex. A Slide bar adjusting Noise Canceling Surround sound on/off A where to put the majority of audio i.e. I have hearing issues in my left ear it'd be nice to balance both sides. Add a bose specific setting that allows users to use just one side and the other be used for external noises. Just recommendations but I doubt bose actually reads customer reviews

My Bose Free Soundsport max volume is set to half, and I can't increase it further via the phone settings or physical buttons, the only way to increase the volume is via the Bose Connect app. It wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have to always open the app to adjust the volume every time I connect the headphones to my phone. What makes it more annoying is waiting for the splash screen to load before I can actually change the settings.

Eh, not even a year old, very spotty, drops out a lot, and occasionally cannot connect. For the price of these blue tooth ear buds they should work flawlessly. I'm am very displeased as all my other blue tooth devices work perfectly with my phone, bose sound bar included as well as other non-bose products. And yes, my phone is always near by when this is occurring. Needless to say, my next earbuds will not be bose, especially when for 1/5 the price you can get something that works better.

There needs to be an ulterior option to adjust the volume directly in the headphones/earbuds themselves. There's a slider to adjust them within the app but I know that the headphones volume can go higher. Since my manual up-volume control is worn out, I have no way to turn the headphones back up. Both the app and my phone are maxed at 100% volume, yet the headphones are only putting out around 60-75% volume. Seems like an easy fix The app comes in handy, but it could definitely be more useful.

I mostly use this when trying to connect my headphones to spefic devices, it works great for that, thing is, I don't want to (or need to) turn on location services in order do this. I'm sure the app can run just fine without knowing my location.

So I'm going to start off with the positive. These headphones are the best sounding headphones I've ever had. Having said that. The app and other things are so dumb. Only the right headphone plays for anything but music also. This app has so much potential but the main reason it's just so poor is the find my buds feature. If you lose an ear Bud it doesn't even show up on your GPS or connect for you to find it EVER. Only the one you have close and not lost. Beacon locating sound to quiet also.

The Bose Soundwear is my first and only product I've ever owned. It is probably my second favorite purchase of 2019. With the app they are both so simple to use and I only really open the app when I'm switching from more to less bass for my Last Podcast on the left podcasts. On the actual product I do wish there was and audio jack so I can hook it up to some of my portable Non-Bluetooth gaming consoles. I have both a Switch and 3DS I would love to hear the in game music.

I wish this did not require enabling location. This is only useful for earbuds, which I don't have. So why would I need to enable location? Seems unnecessary. On the plus side, low noise reduction is perfect when you're in the wind!!!

earphones tend to disconnect very often in a room of 6 people. very disappointed at the connection performance of the sound sport free. the app does no more justice to the headphones in that it's just an interface for connecting devices which serves no real purpose unless connecting for the first time

I love the app. There are only a few of the Augmented Reality apps, which is unfortunate. If I could get involved, I could create some wonderful AR applications, with the 1st one being a audio translator in real time with speech to text output in different languages and then I would create an app that was able to detect the objects making noise using a customized ConvNet with wave form features instead of pixel features. Contact me if you are interested. Trevor Chandler - TecStar

The app itself is good and provides the functionality needed to understand the earbuds and how to use them. Very simple to navigate. I just wish the earbuds came with 1 size smaller ear pieces than they usually come with. My eat canal is evidently smaller than the smallest plugs...

Great App! Excellent when the app searches for the headset to connect to. This is a keeper!! UPDATE: I'd like to be able to use the headset with my laptop and Windows 10, but Google Play won't let me download the Bose Connect application to my laptop...I can only download the app to my phone, why?

I have the Noise Cancelling 700s, since the start of August, and use them literally everyday, but the app hasn't once detected the presence of them, be it paired or not. I don't think the app supports them at all, while it is supported much better on iOS devices. Really disappointing from a $400 set of headphones

It's nice that you can use an app to control your headphones. But you want it to work. Google assistant command to play music doesn't work and the app keeps displaying that there is no music available. But I'm playing from my spotify. Due to this I can't pause or play via the button on the headphones. Also an equalizing option would have been nice.

Very buggy. It rarely detects that I'm even connected to my phone so the app's functionalities are rarely available. I'm not sure if it's an Android problem with the usual Bluetooth pairing problems or if the problem is the app itself. But right now this is pathetic. Running on a Pixel 2.

This app gets the job done. However, this is all it dies. I think more features might help it compete with another brand that shall remain nameless. I think being able to program the action button to "listen" would definitely provide these headphones with a boost in appeal. That is, pressing the action button once or twice would turn off noise cancelling and pause music and open the mics to allow the user to hear their surroundings.

First of all I am a HUGE fan of the Soundlink speakers. Had the 1st gen and cherished it for years. Then the Revolve +... blown away, so had to purchase another. Not twice as nice but a whole new universe in stereo mode. Outside in the backyard is beyond amazing as is almost anywhere you place these speakers. The app however is a total joke and gives these speakers a bad name. Cannot do virtually anything with the app and have tried on Multiple state of the art Samsung devices.

I have a few pair of bose speakers as well as headphons and earbuds that i love. However, i cant enjoy them optimally because of the app; app will not run unless location is always on. Why i cant enjoy my audio equipment the way i want without telling everyone in the world wher i currently am? I understand that is to locate your headpones and earbuds, but i should be able to turn on my location whenever i want, instead of having it on all the time.

Good to configure your headphones I guess. And the theoretical "find my headphones" parts a great concept. Not sure how itd would actually work. The app really doesn't do a whole lot. The only thing that's cant live without is updating the firmware on your devices. Tho that is a rarity at best. I'm an audio head. And I use hacks and my own eq's ect. The bottom line, app or no app the headphones (soundsport free true wireless) sound freaking great. That's what bose does. Not apps.

The Soundsport Free headphones from Bose work really well in snyc with this app. The user instructions for the headphones were a bit sparse, but the app has a useful guide to the headphones and I am now getting used to them and I love the sound from them!

It works ok but when I turn off location it disconnects, why in the world would it need to know my location just because they are portable speakers? Have 2 revolve speakers and the only way to use them in stereo is to use the app, once you Bose stop trying to control the products I bought, I will change the rating, you remind me of Apple...

I had sound sport free for 3 months and the left one quit charging. My frustration was very high! But when I called customer care I was on the phone for five minutes when I had an email and was able to print my FREE ship back label and after they received mine I got my Bran new pair with another year warranty. The customer service agent was amazing and didn't waste my time for anything. What great customer service I had and no hassle. Bose customer for life because of this experience!

Had no idea this app existed originally and when I did find out, the ease of use with these headphones wirelessly got a whole lot better. From noise cancellation to devices connected, you get so much more control in this app and once again, theres no chords. its seamless and the settings can be changed on demand essentially. Highly reccomend it if you have a pair of Bose Headphones.

I'm really hating the app and the speaker (Revolve). It wouldn't turn off absolutely so it drains battery and I have to charge it every now and then, plus the auto-off seems like a joke because, it doesn't turn off completely. Also I don't understand why you need my locación, seems like a privacy breach. The only plus side of this app and speaker is that pairing two of them in stereo is very easy and sounds great; but that sound quality is not worth this usability nightmare.

Useful but not necessary. Very limited functionality. Basically a tool for connecting a device (or devices) but that's essentially all you get. I wish it allowed for customizing the sound to your preference like just about every other company but I suppose it's useful.

The Bose SoundSport Free in-ear headphones are comfortable to wear and provide the best sound I have experienced from an in-ear headphone. The controls on the headphones are simple and easy to use. One negative and the reason I gave them a 4 star rating - When I watch YouTube videos on my phone the degree of latency is extremely distracting. Netflix videos work fine. Bose has recommended a Bluetooth transmitter to enable the headphones for watching TV so I will update after I have tried it.

The sounds of the speakers are good but the app doesn't connect in Stereo and always have problem for connecting. So if your thing to buy for $500 thinking that you will be able to listen your music and stereo from your phone think again.

The quality of the speakers I bought from Bose are excellent. However this app takes a log time to connect my speakers to my phone, especially when trying to do speaker mode. Sometimes I have to restart my phone just to get the connection started. It's much easier to directly connect the bluetooth with a single speaker without using Bose Connect. If Bose can improve on the connection technology I would change my rating to 5-stars.

Would like to change noise canceling button and an assistant at the same time. Now when the action button is set to Google assistant you can't change it with any button (or speech). I think it would be a good idea to use the middle button (long press) to change noise cancelling level, this feature is than useless if an assistant is activated.

Seems to me that, after a year or so, they've finally got this app working reliability. I would like the ability for my QC 35 IIs to default to one of the three NC settings everytime I switch on the app. IOW respect my previous choice rather than always default to max NC.

I can't update my qc35 ii headphones through the app. It usually gets halfway through downloading the update then crashes. In the last few cases the app starts schizing out at random times. Bose makes pretty good headphones. This app however is pretty bad.

I have just recently starting to use the app. The content and the look of the app is nice, informative, intuitive, and simple. I have only been using it to pair and use my Bose Soundfree earbuds and i'd like to see if the app can be used to get the latest update to the earbuds and maybe some extra features later on.

I have had issues with the Sennheiser App amazing sound , yet very sensitive Skull Candy a.step down from the Bose. Sony app. Only recieved about a 1 1/2 charge app cannot help . In call sound 2 steps down and no way of adjusting. Jaybird pretty close, yet does not compare!! My Bose ear buds are the most amazing sounding buds that I have ever placed in my ears. The Bose Connect easy and completely fitting for my earbuds.

very functional app, never have any problems with it. And it's very easy to set up my QuietComfort II headset using this app. it even allows me to control Google play music through this APP! I simply love Bose, their app, their product and customer support. most of all the quality and comfort! lifelong customer here 🔆☺️ -Chief Peck #ChiefUnCUT The SunSHINE State 🌞

After the update to disable the noise cancel, it was a game changer. Would be nice to make the phones remember the last noise configuration when turning on again, but I'm happy with what I can get

this App is good if it doesn't collect my info, but my "Bose Micro SoundLink" is a Mono speaker - meaning it can't separate different notes into Stereo. The Bass is good & Bluetooth link is perfect. though i wish i could trade this with another Stereo Bose.

Limited to offer..imagine there are no lists for the music to play when using this app..only fast forward and backward..i want to see the list of my music..the folders that i want to's useless actually just like using your normal celfone with a built in player..did you get me Bose? Am i right? Do your assignment's kinda expensive your items but the applications are poor..i have also my sound touch 30 but i dont want to use the app because for sure its kinda useless also!

Works well. Some things could be different but I dont know whether it's down to hardware. The other day the headphones connected but wouldn't play any music. It would play on the phone but no audio. After restarting my phone the issue was fixed

It's pretty nice but I'm taking 2 stars off because the battery symbol doesn't show the percentage, and I don't wanna have to drop my soundsport frees into the case and take them back out just to know that information.

The connection can be a little dodgy sometimes and it occasionally loses the left earbud. I don't find the music controls to be all that useful. Pretty cool that you can locate your earbuds with the app, but i haven't tried it yet.

Doesn't work. I'm connected to both speakers with bluetooth, but the app won't see them and desperately continues trying to connect to the neighbours speaker. Not giving me opinion to choose. ??????

Love the design, concept and ease of use. Only setback, for me the speakers along the arms. If I raise the volume past mid way others can hear what I'm hearing.

App is generally fine, but I find it odd that I have to download it in the first place. Wish it was both clearly marked as optional and that the benefits for using it were better explained.

Update 9.0.1 still does not connect two revolve+ speakers. Firmware on the revolve+ has been updated. My cell device is a samsung 9. I am glad i stilll have version 8.0 on my ipad, and i am still getting stereo from that.... update 8.1 no longer connects two revolve + speakers for stereo. can i get version 8?

all at once, I lost the ability to connect both speakers in party ot stereo mode. I can only use one speaker at a time. 9.27.19 Update. Both speakers cannot be linked, even with the Connect app. Will never purchase Bose again.

Worst earbuds I've ever bought. I thought paying $200 for a pair of Bose headphones they would both work. 90% of the time the left one is a paperweight, then if it makes any noise at all they both disconnect and plays everything out loud. I've heard of reviews over 2 years old with these headphones having the same problem. If they haven't been able to fix that by now I need to return them. Most irritating thing that should be very easy to get work that I've ever experienced!!!!

Its a great app. However, the tracking part could use improvement. Unfortuntilly i loose my left ear bud more than id like to admit. And its very spotty. Most of the time it doesnt track them correctly. The current location is never current. And yes my app is up to date. Please help b4 i loose heasphone for ever. Lol athena

The system beeps and voice prompts from my QC35 are too loud and hurt my ears. Needless to say, they are not affected by the system volume. Can we have an option to adjust the volume of these please?

Love this! This is the best go to app when you can't find your buds.. so easy to use and is guaranteed that you will def. Find your buds when you misplaced it! Make sure to turn on your GPS though 😁

Bose is a certainty, both in the materials of the products and in that of applications. The app is perfect and in my opinion it has no flaws or bugs. It makes the coupling of products much easier.

Seems easy to use, but the layout and content could use an overhaul so that folks know it is actually a Bose Application (for example having the Bose logo as the official image for the app square).

I love the Bose connect App. It's the Bose Soundsport bluetooth earbuds that SUCK! C'mon Bose, fix the freaking battery control software! What the HELL? For what you charge for your products, they should WORK. Seriously disappointed. Edit: well, Bose did a firmware update and now even though it says it's connected for calls and media, I can't get my calls on it. Congratulations Bose, you suck again

Completely useless to always have location on and drains the battery twice as fast. This won't help find them if I lose them. Just shows last time I had location on. Unnecessary and redundant app to use when I can go directly to the other music apps that I'm using anyway.

Lost one of my earbuds at work and i work in a 14 story bldg that we have 3 clubs 4 floors apart. As soon as i got close the app went from out of range to in range and when i hit the make sound i followed it till i found it. Lovely app and device. I was woried my earbuds were going to join the drawer with all my other single sided earbuds. Fantastic job

Absolute junk trying to use with their Alto Frames product and an S10 Plus. Keeps saying can't update because another product is updating my frames (it's not) . After several restarts and reinstalls, it updates but now the app connects for a second then disconnects and just says "Whoops something went wrong." Real helpful exception message.

Not worth the waste of time. I tried updating my firmware on Soundlink I headphones because it was not pairing with my wife's android phone or her Amazon Kindle. Spotty connection at best which was impossible to pair once paired. Thought firmware upgrade would fix this since it is an older model. The pairing of this headphone is also spotty with my MacBook Pro 2012 and often forgets. The headphone is junk and offers no advantage over other cheaper headphones and it's android app is worthless getting stuck on the page where it instructs on ways to allow pairing. Another one for donation to Purple Heart and Bose...never again. There are better systems out there for half the price and besides the genius behind the corporation is long dead how can it sustain itself or innovate. Think about it.

i wish 0 stars on this. ive had the soundsport for so long and today i had misplaced them. turned everything upside down, so i went to the find my buds feature, IT DID NOT WORK. ITS STUCK ON 6/6/19 when i used them TODAY and used the app not more than a week ago. I called support, warranty is horrible by the way, they did not do anything to help me or fix the app issue. if i had that fixed i would most likely find them. 250 DOLLARS i cant afford that at all FIX YOUR STUFF, FIX YOUR SUPPORT

I wish there was a widget Or like some headphones do display the battery life of each ear Bud in the notification area on the drop down top status bar of the phone or even some offer a 3 or 4 preset EQ within the app like rock pop or jaz ect.... oh I have the bose soundsport free just in case someone is Listening :) Other than that the app is OK

Like it however would love to have DSP. With gain adjustments for bass treble or a EQ. Just saying.... You (Bose) are one of the biggest names in sound quality. Let us fine tune our music etc. for a better experience. You want us to use this app, right?

Software is buttery smooth, easy to use, and feels very integrated into Android. I recommend both this and any Bose headphones! Tuning EQ and adjusting noise canceling had never been easier. Sufficient descriptions of each function and mode in the software makes any learning curve you might have easier to get through.

Just installed this app. It seems ok so far, but like many other people here say, why do I need to have location turned on to listen to my headphones? It seems ridiculous and unnecessary. I would rate it higher if it wasn't for that battery drain.

I bought the new Bose earphones and they work well on music, however i don't understand why only one earphone works on call- this is crazy design and really reduces the quality of call and I can almost never take the call on these. Please suggest if you are planning to fix it work done software upgrade.

this app is beatifully design, but i cant stop to wonder, why on earth you need my location for, while clearly the speaker can works without it. this is the only thing that annoys me the most. GPS drains my battery so please erase the request for the location.

The best in sound, portability, DURABILITY and design. Bose may be a little more but you get it right the first time. Highly recommended.

By far the hands-down highest quality total wireless earbuds on the market! Destroys Apple earbuds Skullcandy vs all the other imitators just do not even compare spend the money by the Bose you will be well worth it they stay in your ear their quality and they absolutely bump they will give you headaches if you choose to have it ! DON'T WA$TE TIME OR $$ ON APPLE JUNK

One word Terrible!!!? One of the main purposes of the app is "party mode" and it never recognizes the second speaker, I'm a tech savy person and have only been able to have it successfully connect 3 times out several attempts...

I am using a LG G3 (old phone , I know) after update I am unable to open the app even thought it is connected to bluetooth and running. Keeps telling me to press and hold bluetooth button. Without location permission, ot is useless in my phone. Will have to use my Pixel 3XL.

Easiest app ever. Connect your earbuds to your device and then open this app! Automatically sends new firmware to your earbuds. (make sure they're charged). Bose is...well Bose! So we we surprised with their quality?!

Nice but it needs a way to automatically pair speakers in party and/or stereo mode as an option. It's too much of a hassle to do this over again.

This is an ok app should it work. At times the app would just complicate connecting my headphones, or force me to close the app turn off my headphones and restart the whole process.

I had noise cancelling on low. Wanted to change to high while on an airplane but couldn't because I had to have location service on! (There is absolutely no reason to be forced to have location on, if I want to find them I'll turn it on), These QC35's are gone, going to replace with Sony WH-1000XM3, which don't require location on to access app! Ridiculous Bose.

The app is OK, but unfortunately I lost one of my SoundSport Free ear buds on the subway and the app was unable to locate it because of lack of internet connection. Please consider developing Bluetooth locator to supplement the online functionality.

I picked up a Bose micro link earlier this year to use mostly for travel. As it ends up, I also use this in my bedroom and shower because it puts out such great music. Taking it to the beach today with the kids to enjoy my music.

We have thoroughly enjoyed the one device we had and recently purchased a second for party mode. We have several friends whom have commented about our devices and have purchased two as gifts. The app makes controlling multiple devices a breeze!

Very easy to use. Also, connects to devices even when They're off and within range. The device the automatically turns on.

Great app. Really like the pairing two speakers in stereo mode. It would be nice to be able to turn off the speaker with the app though.

very good...the only trouble we have is a Bluetooth automatic power up: nice feature in the morning when grabbing your phone to play music whilst speaker is not physically reachable ....not so in the middle of the night hearing "Bose connected to xperia Z!" the mobile of my wife charging with Bluetooth on .

First of all i love this brend everything supreme but the sound not as i expect . And volume buttons are so hard but when you run or do exercises they not fall down. And i love especially find my tools. Voice is clear soft but not high as i expected.

Simple but smart app. These Connect In-Ear headphones are amazing. Fantastic sound quality with solid low bass and plenty of high frequency. Massively impressed! Recommended.

Great app, easy to use and very helpful. I have two bose products (qc35 and the sunglasses) both of them connect very easily and I can change more stuff with the app.

The app makes it simple to connect your bose headphones. As an audiophile i would always choose bose products. But also as an audiophile I would like to see a built in equilizer to better customize the listening experience for each genre of music. Still a 5 star product though.

i love the sound, i also like the fact that i can take my music with me anywhere the only reason i dint give the product a 5 star is because of No EQ on the back .and its not water proof if its for outdoor use ,it should be at list water resistance

On phone calls I can only hear audio in one ear. when listening with only one earbud in, any YouTube or netflix audio is out of sync with what im actually watching. Not sure if this is an issue the app can fix or just a hardware problem

It's not 5 stars only because it forces me to turn on my GPS which consumes extra battery charge. Otherwise, very good app.

I love the sound, but I don't like that they don't fit good in my ear too big they pop out. In order for me to use my left side I need to take the right one out the case.

The newest update has fixed my issue of the firmware not properly installing on the headphones. Very nice! Suggestion: Remember the last state of the noise cancellation setting between turning the headphones on and off.

App does what's supposed to do: it lets you adjust noise reduction, look for the headphones if you lose them, share the connection with another headset. I'd prefer to have an equalizer....

It's very good but when u are using another app and again open bose connect then it will show that your device is not connected but in reality it's connected. So I think it's some problem with UI of the app, other than that it's awesome.

The best choice I could have made, battery life is incredible, honestly I'm not leaving then in my ears longer than 5 hrs. Charges quickly. The sound quality is incredible. I couldn't imagine listening to anything else after these.

Overall, easy to use and it does enough. Although I'm not sure why i have to go through ten kinds of nonsense to switch them from my phone to my windows 10 laptop. That could earn you a fifth star ;)

Easy to use. I like the fact you can personalize the names of your own product, makes it easy to find in a world of Bluetooth everything.

There is a problem with Bluetooth connection, if speaker BT is on before phone BT , it does not auto connect. I have to restart the speaker BT to connect it.

Perfect flight partner. Does really cancel out plane engine noise, and most importantly, stabilizes pressure during take off and landing. Worth the money.

why havent the option of equaliser been given to adjust the sound as per individuals liking? and find my buds oprion dont work if kept in the charging case ?? more over lots of times it disconnects on it's own and then reconnects automatically!!

These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine approximately where you are.

precise location (GPS and network-based)
Allows the app to get your precise location using the Global Positioning System (GPS) or network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power.

pair with Bluetooth devices
Allows the app to view the configuration of the Bluetooth on the phone, and to make and accept connections with paired devices.

access Bluetooth settings
Allows the app to configure the local Bluetooth phone, and to discover and pair with remote devices.
