BOReLOG mobile application is provided by EVOLVE GEOTECH CONCEPTS LLP for anyone who works and or is engaged in subsurface exploration/investigation in soil and rock. This is a simple app which is developed with an objective of digitization/automation of borehole logging by field engineers. User can navigate the app quickly and smoothly with clean interfaces designed for Android services. The app provides preliminary subsurface stratification adhering to standard guidelines based on information fed by the user, thus reducing flipping through handbooks, textbooks, standards, etc.
The output/ report generated provide information on order of occurrences and extent of soil and rock strata, nature and description of the soil and rock formation, location of groundwater. It also summarizes on sampling type, equipment record such as circulation fluid, type of boring, etc. along with in-situ tests summary conducted on field. Moreover, with connectivity the app has ability to share live updates from far off/inaccessible locations.
This is a real time saver and can be used to log borehole data offline. It not only eliminates the necessity of pen-paper entries but also reduces manual calculations. It facilitates electronic endorsement from company representative and client representative on the field. Another distinctive feature of this app is capturing real time picture of soil/rock sample and identifying the colour as per internationally recognized standard colour chart which comes as a built-in feature with this app.
