Description
This is a black screen battery saver that will help you regain privacy and save battery with the same efficiency a Scot will save money.
But how is that possible?
We all noticed how new devices are becoming increasingly larger. And that's nice! But that also means those big screens will put more pressure on the battery consumption.
On AMOLED screens, which equip most of today's devices, a black pixel will draw close to zero current from the battery. Based on this technical fact, BlackScot is able to save a significant amount of battery time by overlapping black pixels on the unused areas of the screen.
What if you're just reading an article or chatting with a friend?
Do you really need to use the entire screen?
What if you could easily turn off parts of the screen without impacting your flow? And by doing this, you'll also gain more privacy while (for example) commuting: there's always someone snooping around your screen.
Now you can decide which parts of the screen are unused and turn them to black. You'll gain more privacy and save battery, therefore increasing the interval between charging cycles.
Conveniently enable the full black screen mode when your device needs to stay awake, but you're not looking at the screen.
