Beginner Yiddish is a simple and direct Yiddish language learning app meant as an introduction to beginners and enthusiasts. Great app - assumes you know alef-beyz (update, 5 mos. later): I STILL love this app! Re: all these negative reviews, it's important to understand what this app is and what it is not: it's a basic, extremely easy to use Yiddish vocab builder. It's NOT designed to be a standalone instructional manual to the Yiddish language. There are no grammar lessons, no pronunciation guides, etc... BUT as a simple vocab builder to those studying Yiddish, it is VERY useful, and an extremely easy way to stay motivated (when Weinreich is driving you crazy), and to be able to practice / expand your Yiddish while sitting on the bus/waiting in line/etc.
