Başak Gazetesi 15-08-1988 yılında Bahri Çolpan sahipliğinde kurulmuş ve yayın hayatına başlamıştır.
İlk etapta tipo baskı sistemi ve 4 sayfa basılan Başak Gazetesi, kısa bir süre sonra ofset baskı sistemine geçmiş ve 8 sayfa olarak yayınına devam etmiştir.
Osmaniye ve ilçelerine hitap eden tek gazete olan Başak Gazetesi, 2002 yılında teknolojinin gelişmesi ile birlikte www.basakgazetesi.com internet ortamına taşıyarak sanal gazetecilik sektörüne de adım atmıştır.
Başak Gazetesi, basılı yayından ziyade internet yayınına büyük önem vermektedir.
Başak Newspaper was founded on 15-08-1988 under the ownership of Bahri Çolpan and started its publication life.
